Orlando Pirates reoport on Saleng and Ndah

Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has given injury reports on Monnapule Saleng and Olisa Ndah ahead of tonight’s MTN8 final against Stellenbosch FC.

ORLANDO PIRATES STARS TO MISS MTN8 FINAL?

As witnessed last weekend, both Saleng and Ndah missed the Betway Premiership 1-0 win over Richards Bay. Speaking to the media after the game, Riveiro said the two players suffered injuries against Polokwane City and are at risk of missing the action in the MTN8 final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday at 18:00.

“Unfortunately, I do not have a full report correctly pointing out,” said Ncikazi via FARPost.

“They have not trained for some days, but they are still in the medical room to pass a late fitness test.

“So, currently I am not sure because I left, there was training in the morning so I did not see training, and I don’t have a full medical report.

“But I am praying that we are in full strength to play such a difficult side.

“If that doesn’t happen, I still think that we have a very capable team in their absence to be able to win, hence the team has got so many players to handle the situation in their absence,” the Orlando Pirates mentor concluded.

RICHARD OFORI TO AMAZULU

Football careers have to move on. Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori is looking for a new house in Durban.

The arrival of Sipho Chaine, who is a better goalkeeper when it comes to passing and distribution, was the beginning of the end for Ofori’s career at Orlando Pirates.

Melusi Buthelezi arrived a season later to make Ofori third choice.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Ghanaian has joined AmaZulu.

“Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori has reached an agreement with AmaZulu, iDiski Times has learnt,” the report said.

PABLO MARTIN CONFIRMS OFORI ARRIVAL

“He came two days ago, he has been training with the team, he is a great goalkeeper with a lot of experience in PSL, Africa, and the national team,” Martin said via iDiski Times.

“I know him well because – I don’t know if you remember this – but he was the one sending me home in the quarter-final in CAF when we played here with Simba SC vs Orlando Pirates he saved two penalties on top of that he scored the winner.

“He is a player who hasn’t been playing for such a long period of time so we want to look at him, he is keen to sign for us let’s see what happens in the upcoming hours, he is a free agent.

“It’s a discussion that the club director of football, the technical staff, and the player they need to have and see if we can reach an agreement,” Martin concluded on the former Buccaneer.
