All four SA sides went unbeaten in the URC this past weekend, with focus having shifted back to this tournament in the midst of an international break.
The victories from the weekend mean three of the sides finished the third round in the top eight on the log, although it is only the second round of matches for the SA teams after their opening round fixtures were postponed.
This Saturday will see the Sharks playing a third consecutive overseas game against Benetton, with kick off at 16:00 (SA time).
This will be followed by another ‘away’ game for the Stormers as well as the Cape side tackles Edinburgh (kick off at 18:15).
Then in one of the final games on Saturday, the Bulls travel to Wales to take on Ospreys (kick off at 20:35).
There is only one game on Sunday, with the Lions also playing overseas as they take on the Dragons (kick off at 15:30).
Here is how the top half of the URC log looks
And the bottom 8
To recap on the latest round of results, the Lions got a bumper day of action on Saturday off to a fantastic start with an emphatic 55-21 victory against Edinburgh in Johannesburg, and the Bulls continued to hold the fort as they racked up a 47-21 victory against Ulster in Pretoria.
Abroad, the Sharks kept the SA flag flying high as they scored a try in the dying seconds for a valuable 33-30 victory against the Dragons in Newport, and the Stormers maintained their unbeaten record against Zebre Parma by defeating the Italians 36-5.
Elsewhere, Leinster kept their unbeaten run intact with a 35-5 win away to Benetton and still occupy top spot on the log, while Connacht beat Scarlets by 24-23 in Llanelli, and Glasgow Warriors were too strong for Cardiff, winning by 52-36 in the Welsh capital.
Munster bounced back from last weekend’s shock defeat to Zebre with a 23-0 win over the Ospreys in Cork
