Kaizer Chiefs issue injury update on key players

Kaizer Chiefs have issued an update on the injured players ahead their trip to Bloemfontein where they will play the Cufa Cup.

The two sides are again be expected to entertain their Bloemfontein fans after doing so in the opening match of the season.

Edmilson Dove has removed the protective boot, and David Milner, the club’s physiotherapist, is confident he will be back in November.

Furthermore, goalkeeper Brandon Petersen is back in the training grounds after removing pins from his injured finger.

KAIZER CHIEFS INJURY UPDATE

“Gaston Sirino sustained an abductor muscle injury in the last match and he is improving nicely and we expect him to back in full training within two weeks,” Milner told the club’s website.

“Another player progressing well is George Matlou. He has started running and doing some ball work and we are looking at a November return for him.

“Tebogo Potsane went for a scan which showed some ligament damage [in his ankle], so we expect him to be out for around three weeks.

“Edmilson Dove is out of the protective boot and is doing some preliminary walking. We are confident he will be able to start running in November.

“Brandon [Petersen] had the pins removed from his finger and can start full training immediately.”
