South Africa-born Elon Musk has stretched his ‘lead’ as the most followed person on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The 53-year-old billionaire – who is also the richest person in the world – passed the 200-million follower mark in recent days.
In second place is former US President Barack Obama.
Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX at the time of publishing on Sunday, 13 October, has 201 340 603 Twitter followers, over 69.3 million ahead of Obama, who had 132 040 395 to his name.
Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is in third place with 113 441 771 followers.
Pop star Rihanna is the most followed woman on X in fifth-place overall, ahead of Katy Perry (sixth), Taylor Swift (eighth) and Lady Gaga (10th).
