Littler, 17, won the tie in thrilling fashion as he checked out from 158 with two triple 20s and a double 19.

However, fans could tell that he had changed his throwing style during the match.

One viewer even claimed that the ace made the decision because he was “bored”.

One posted: “Littler has changed his throwing style quite a few times hasn’t he. Even if it’s just small adjustments.”

A second wrote: “Does it everytime when the tournament isn’t too important.

“Happened a couple of times in the PL too.”

A third commented: “He always does it on the pro tours, looks like he’s already bored of them.”

A fourth said: “That’s silly.”

It is not the first time Littler has changed his technique at the oche.

Back in February, he made a couple of adjustments that led fans to think he had got even better.

Littler was then beaten by Croatian ace Boris Krcmar 6-4 in his second match of the day.

Recently, he was praised by former world champion Dennis Priestley who has backed him to be worth more than David Beckham.

He told Club 501: “It’s hard for any player to remain at the top for that length of time.”

“If they can do that and he can remain at the top of his game for 10 or so years.

“Then he’ll be worth more than David Beckham.”

Inside Littler’s massive rise

LUKE LITTLER has taken the darts world by storm since exploding onto the scene at the PDC World Championship at the beginning of the year.

The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age – smashing records along the way.

He has then gone on to win a host of PDC events and the Premier League title – which he claimed at the O2 Arena by beating world champion Luke Humphries in May.

He also finished his first season in the World Series as the No1 ranked player.

He has joined Jude Bellingham on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list.

And the teenage titan even had to snub an invite from the WWE.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Littler is plotting to create a fitness empire.

He is also cashing in away from the Oche thanks to an Instagram side hustle.

And he’s even the face of a brand new cereal.

But he is newly single after splitting from girlfriend Eloise Milburn following a 10-month relationship.
