‘You’ve got this’: Ramaphosa wishes matric Class of 2024 well

President Cyril Ramaphosa wished the matric Class of 2024 well for the National Senior Certificate exams beginning  Monday, 21 October.

Almost one million ma (727 121 full-time and 155 215 part-time) candidates will sit for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams in the country.

MATRIC CLASS OF 2024 TO BEGIN EXAMS ON MONDAY

President Ramaphosa said parents, teachers, siblings, friends, and neighbors are proud of all learners who have reached and are ready for this milestone.

“You started as the Grade 1 Class of 2012 and have succeeded with the help of so many people around you who are supporting and applauding the work you have put in up to this point.

“You are ready now to play back the knowledge you have acquired during these crucial years of your life. Be confident in what you know, believe in yourself, and know that you are meant to succeed.

Further, Ramaphosa said examinations are not an obstacle; they’re a gateway to continued success and a new phase of life in which the adventure of learning and the ability to share knowledge with others never stops.

“As you continue to prepare for your exams, there will be moments of difficulty. When these come, ask for help from everyone around you, and they will support you.

“Motivate yourself and encourage your classmates who, like you, are a generation whose skills and interests will take our country forward. You’ve got this,” the president said.

WHEN WILL THE RESULTS BE RELEASED?

The exams will be administered at 474 exam locations, monitored by 1 809 invigilators, as reported by capetownetc.

Markers will mark the papers between 2 and 12 December 2024 and afterwards, the marked scripts will be quality checked by mark-checkers.

The national matric exams results will be announced on 15 January 2025, with individual candidate results accessible at schools or online the next day.
