Arielle Lorre is a beauty and style influencer, and regularly posts about her skincare and fashion tips on her social media pages.

In a recent TikTok video, Arielle opened up about how she’s managed to keep her skin so smooth – despite having given up her wrinkle-paralysing injections, which can cost up to £400 an area.

Instead, she uses face taping several times a week.

“I’m 39 years old,” Arielle began.

“I stopped getting Botox over a year ago, but I do tape my face a few nights a week and I’m going to show you how this really keeps my skin smooth and line free.”

She uses Japanese face tape, which she cuts to size in rectangular, curved pieces.

She then uses three on her forehead – two on each side and one in the middle – as well as a longer piece on each side of her eyes to “prevent horizontal lines”.

To apply the tape, she lift her skin and makes it taut, before applying the tape “in an upward motion”.

“The tape is super soft,” Arielle added, explaining she applies it over her skincare and it still “doesn’t slip”.

She also demonstrated how the tape isn’t a “hard cast”, as she wrinkled her forehead to show how the tape creased too.

“I can still move, but it keeps things super, super smooth,” Arielle said.

“How I apply face tape before bed for smooth skin,” she captioned the video.

People were quick to comment on the TikTok, praising Arielle’s clever trick and her glass-like visage.

“You literally look 24. I need to know everything!” one wrote.

As another argued: “She looks 19!”

“Her skin is flawless,” a third commented.

How much does Botox cost?

BOTOX and anti-wrinkle injections are one of the most popular cosmetic treatments available today.

Botox injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves.

The effects last about three to twelve months, depending on what you are treating.

The NHS website estimates each botulinum toxin injection costs £150-£350 per session.

The price varies depending on how much is used per session, they add.

Botox prices fluctuate depending on where you go to get it done and the number of areas treated.

Some companies offer one area for around the £200 mark, and most offer packages if you want to add more areas to your treatment.

It is worth doing your research before you undergo the treatment – and remember that going ‘cheap’ isn’t always a good idea.

“I was like wow I have great skin but I don’t look like THAT!” someone else marvelled.

“I want to know the cost comparison to Botox per quarter,” another asked.

To which Arielle replied: “A £21 roll lasts me about 2-3 months, say I go big and use 2 rolls so £42 for tape vs over £770 Botox a quarter.

“You can’t really compare them bc the tape doesn’t freeze the muscle but for me it’s working.”
