Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed a new coach and he wants to bring a new player with him.
Kaizer Chiefs have officially appointed Cedric Kaze as their new assistant coach.
Moreover, the coach wants to bring a new player to Naturena. In fact, he has suggested this highly skilled midfielder to Amakhosi’s technical team.
CHIEFS NEW COACH SUGGESTS NEW PLAYER
Kaze has suggested and requested that Chiefs sign Feisal Salum.
“There could be more changes in the playing staff at Chiefs in January. You know the Tanzanian midfielder that Mamelodi Sundowns have been following, Feisal Salum? Kaizer are now after him. Actually the assistant coach Cedric Kaze is believed to have proposed him to the club as both him and Nabi know him from Yanga. He played under them before joining Azam and he feels there is a role he can play at the club hence his suggestion to the team. It’s just that at Chiefs for now, when they are ready they will approach Azam. But there is that talk at the club now about Feisal Salum,” the Siya Crew insider stated on SoccerLaduma.
Therefore, he is now Amakhosi’s latest target.
Furthermore, Salum was linked with Sundowns recently but the deal did not materialize. Therefore, Chiefs have a golden opportunity to beat The Brazilians to the talented Tanzania signature.
NABI TO DECIDE IF HE IS WORTH THE PRICE
As mentioned, Nabi, like Kaze, knows Salum very well from his days at Yanga.
However, the potential stumbling block in this proposed move could be his pricetag. Salum has a staggering R30 million price tag attached.
“He is rated and valued highly by Azam and that has been the delay with Sundowns. The money they want is too much. And if Chiefs are to get him, Fiston Mayele and Oswin Appollis they will have to go beyond their budget. Do they have that money around R30, just for him? Even if they ssay R29m. Do they have it? So, although they are interested in him, the issue will be affordability at the end of the day,” the second Siya source stated on the same publication.
Therefore, well they are considering him the move is unlikely. This is because Mayele and Appollis are Chiefs main transfer targets for the PSL transfer window in January.
