Kaizer Chiefs have announced a change in date for their Betway Premiership encounter against Royal AM.
The two sides were initially scheduled to play on 9 November at FNB Stadium.
However, on Thursday, Kaizer Chiefs revealed that the match against Royal AM will now take place on 30 November.
It is unclear, at this stage, what the reason for the postponement could be but Chiefs said other logistics will be communicated in due course.
But in a statement released by the league as per SuperSport.com, the weekend of 9 and 10 November is penciled for Carling Knockout Cup semifinals.
The final of the Carling Knockout Cup is set to take place on 23 November.
Now, it would have been impossible for both Chiefs and Royal AM to play on the weekend of a Cup competition.
Meanwhile, November already appears to be a quiet month for Chiefs supporters – they will only play three matches.
And that’s if they fail to progress past the quarterfinals of the Carling Knockout Cup on 2 November.
The other two fixtures are league matches against Richards Bay FC and Royal AM on 27 and 30 November respectively.
Ironically, these are two KwaZulu Natal-based clubs, and all Amakhosi matches for November will be at home.
