DA LES’ JOURNEY TO RECOVERY
The Love and Hip-Hop star suffered a stroke on his birthday, July 26th at his Bryanston mansion, known for hosting his star-studded parties.
TshisaLIVE reported in August that he was transferred to a public hospital.
“Half his face is affected. He can’t talk, he’s just lying there, it’s bad. They were taking him out of a private hospital and to a public hospital. I’ve been there and there’s nothing wrong with that hospital. The machines are working and the nurses are amazing. It’s going to be a while before he recovers. I think it’s like Lira’s situation,” a source told the news outlet.
There were also claims that his family was allegedly asking for donations to pay for his medical expenses. This follows a widely circulated letter from the rapper’s close friends addressed to some of his friends.
The alleged note to Da Les’s friends read, “As support to Leslie’s family while Les is in hospital, we are encouraging friends to assist in kind to Leslie’s mother’s account.”
His family said they did not ask for public help in response to the news. Apparently, his close friends just wanted to lend a helping hand to the family to cover the rapper’s medical bills.
