Players leaving in January: Kaizer Chiefs coach to cut squad

The Kaizer Chiefs squad won’t look the same come February 2025. A new report says Nasreddine Nabi is planning to release a few players during the January transfer window.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO LOAN OR RELEASE PLAYERS

While Amakhosi is planning to sign a few new quality players like Oswin Appollis, Fiston Mayele, Michael Olunga, and Feisal Salum, coach Nabi is also determined to reduce the squad’s size with loan or permanent exits.

“Even if new players come on board in January the coach still wants to cut down the squad to a manageable one, and they are looking at all the players to either be loaned out or to be permanently sold in January as he wants to keep the players happy and have a more competitive nature at the club,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.

“So as much as there is a budget for the head of scouting in January there will still be players leaving.”
