It’s seemingly guaranteed. Kaizer Chiefs will sign a new winger in the upcoming January transfer window. Reports say Amakhosi are keeping tabs on three options.
KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN A WINGER FROM THREE OPTIONS
According to the latest report from Soccer Laduma, Polokwane City superstar Owsin Appollis (23) is the first option, followed by AmaZulu’s Tshepang Moremi (24) and Cape Town Spurs winger Asanele Velebayi (21).
“You know there are many factors they are going, and foremost, the new head of scouting is working both the first team and the development, and the players could help the team,” an insider told the outlet.
“Then they monitor the progress of those players.
“Yes, Asanele (Velebayi) has been on that list, and this season has been good, but he is not in the first position. Appollis and (Tshepang) Moremi are the preferred candidates but it will depend on what happens with these two in January before the Velebayi decision would be made again.”
In the meantime, the Glamour Boys will take on SuperSport United in a league game at 17:30 from the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
KAIZER CHIEFS BANK R600 000
According to the Carling Knockout prize money details, winning the last 16 games to make the quarter-finals includes a prize of R600 000.
QUARTER-FINAL FIXTURES
Betway Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs are on the up. The latest result was last weekend’s Carling Knockout Cup win over SuperSport United.
Meanwhile, the last eight draw looks intimidating for the Soweto giants. Amakhosi have been drawn against the mighty Mamelodi Sundowns.
- Richards Bay vs Cape Town City
- Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns
- TS Galaxy vs Magesi FC
- Marumo Gallants vs Stellenbosch FC.
