Springbok captain Siya Kolisi posted on social media for the first time following news of his divorce from his wife Rachel.
The 33-year-old flanker featured in Saturday’s home match for the Hollywoodbets Sharks’ United Rugby Championship match against Munster at Kings Park Stadium.
Kolisi featured for 71 minutes as his side won 41-24 against the Irish side. The Boks skipper recently rejoined the Sharks after leaving French team Racing 92 in August.
Siya Kolisi posts after Sharks win
“Thank you so much for all the support @sharksrugby family and the people of KZN great to be back here . See you soon,” Kolisi posted on his Instagram page.
The two-time Rugby World Cup-winning captain has already played several games since returning to the Sharks in September.
“When I arrived in Paris, I didn’t know what the future of my international career was but when I started playing for the national team again (in June), I realised that my body has no rest,” Siya Kolisi said in a statement last month.
“And above all, if I play for South Africa, I miss three months of the Top 14 season. I am very well paid and it makes me feel like I am stealing from Racing.
“So, for me, my physical health and the club, I want to do what is right, I don’t want to only invest half of myself. When they recruited me, they thought they had a full-time Siya Kolisi,” said the Sharks flanker.
