Vinicius did not attend the awards ceremony as Real Madrid boycotted the event.
But he broke his silence after Rodri collected his trophy, sending a warning to the organisers.
He wrote on social media: “I’ll do it 10x if I have to. They’re not ready.”
Vinicius Jr was rumoured to have won the Ballon d’Or after helping Real Madrid win the Champions League and LaLiga last season.
He scored 24 goals and registered 11 assists, with key goals in the Champions League knock-out stages, including the final.
But he was overlooked for the top prize with Premier League and Euros winner Rodri winning instead.
An incensed Florentino Perez, Real Madrid President, reacted by boycotting the event.
That meant no Real Madrid personnel were in Paris for the ceremony, including Jude Bellingham who finished third.
