Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns: Date, Kick-off time, TV channel

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have a score to settle when they meet again this weekend.

The two giants face each other on Saturday evening at the FNB Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals. Both teams lost their Betway Premiership games this past weekend to SuperSport United and Polokwane City respectively.

Sundowns have already defeated Chiefs this season in a league encounter which ended controversially. Amakhosi opened the scoring thanks to Ranga Chivaviro’s goal inside the opening 10 minutes. The Brazilians equalised in the 31st minute before Iqraam Rayners made it 2-1 six minutes later.

Kaizer Chiefs thought they earned themselves a draw late on but their goal was ruled out which infuriated their fans. Five weeks later, the two teams will once again renew their rivalry in the Carling KO.

What times does the Sundowns and Chiefs match kick-off?

Chiefs host Sundowns at the FNB on Saturday(02 November) in the quarter-finals of the Carling Knockout Cup. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 and the match will be televised live on SABC 1 and SuperSport channels.

Amakhosi will be without Edson Castillo who is out due to a fractured fibula sustained during the match against SuperSport United on Saturday evening. The South American is expected to be out of action for at least five months.
