A GORGEOUS one-of-a-kind supercar with a curious interior trim can be yours for an astronomical price.
An extra-special Porsche 911 ‘Turbo Remastered’, which was released in 2024 by Porsche Sonderwunsch, has been described as a once in a lifetime find.

The car’s Lipstick Red interior is what sets it apart[/caption]
The car’s unique interior is perhaps what sets it apart from the rest; upholstered in two-tone ‘Lipstick Red’ and black with red and blue tartan trim.
Built as a tribute to the prototype 911 Turbo – the first ever to exist, which was gifted to Louise Piech, the daughter of Porsche founder Ferdinand Porsche, in 1974 – this modern supercar is powered by the 992-type 911 Turbo engine that can deliver 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and hit a top speed of roughly 198 mph.
Unveiled at the Icons of Porsche Festival in Dubai last year, the one-off 911 marked the model’s 60th anniversary, as well as the famous carmaker’s 75th year.
Piech’s original 911 Turbo, which was also finished in silver, could be specially distinguished by its chequered tartan fabric on red interior that she had personally chosen.
The updated model, built from a collaboration between Style Porsche, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, and the Porsche Middle East and Africa regional office, will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s next month – for a listed price of £330,000.
Perhaps what the car does best is show off the world famous Sonderwunsch workshop – Porsche’s special request arm that works with both the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and the Porsche Classic department.
The Sonderwunsch team is dedicated to taking special requests to help Porsche buyers get the bespoke motor of their dreams; hence their slogan “you dream it, we build it.”
Since it began in the late 1970s, the Sonderwunsch has produced a number of one-off cars for its wealthy clients, which range from unique colour combinations or material requests, through to modifications after the car is delivered to the customer.
This comes as another legendary Porsche sports car that was left untouched and rotting under a layer of snow was restored to its former glory.
A stunning 928 S4, one of the most iconic motors from the 1980s, was left neglected at the side of a house for 15 years in Upstate New York.
Earlier this year, Sun Motors spoke with a car expert who specialises in modern classics – with a special focus on Porsches.
James Russell, of the Motor Grid, spoke very highly of the Boxster, especially the Mk1 model.
James said: “The perfectly balanced, perfect under £10,000 sports car has got to be the 987 Boxster.
“Manual, flat-six, you just can’t go wrong. It’s perfect.”
And finally, the chief designer of Porsche recently revealed that he dreams of designing a smaller and more compact version of the 911, in a nod to its earlier years.
Car design guru Michael Mauer, who’s worked for the likes of Mercedes and Saab before joining Porsche in 2004, is keen for their next-generation 911 to be scaled down – although he admits this could be a challenge.
In recent years, Porsche motors have grown in size, with newer models such as the Taycan and Panamera joining the Cayenne as some of the largest in the German marque’s history.
But even the iconic 911 model has grown in size, with the wheelbase of its recent models stretching by 247 millimetres between 1963 to 2011.
