The Real Madrid winger, 24, finished second in this year’s competition to Manchester City’s Rodri in controversial circumstances.
The European champions said their representatives would not go where Real are “not respected” after learning Vinicius would miss out on the top prize.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti and forward Kylian Mbappe both won individual honours but neither was present to receive their award.
Vinicius Jr is followed in the market by Manchester City talisman Erling Haaland at 9/2, Kylian Mbappe at 5/1 and Kopa Trophy winner Lamine Yamal further back at 7/1.
