SPORTING have confirmed that Manchester United will pay Ruben Amorim’s £8.3m release clause as the club close in on their next head coach.
It comes after former boss Erik ten Hag was sacked on Monday morning following the Red Devils’ poor start to the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Man Utd are reportedly keen on appointing Amorim ahead of Sunday’s blockbuster clash with Chelsea at Old Trafford.
