A few high clouds will spread east in a warm southwesterly flow around high pressure along the Mid-Atlantic Coast. Temperatures will soar to near 80 degrees, potentially reaching records levels in many parts of Ohio for the date.
Skies will be partly cloudy tonight, with very mild early morning in the low 60s.
Winds will increase on Thursday, with gusts topping 30 mph in the afternoon, as clouds increase. A cold front will arrive later on Thursday, accompanied by a band of showers that will affect trick-or-treaters, along with a rumble of thunder. Temperatures will fall back from the mid-70s into the 60s during the evening.
Cooler weather will follow in the wake of the cold front, as high pressure settles in for several days. Clouds will return on Sunday, with a chance for a few showers accompanying a warm front.
As the high pushes east of the Great Lakes by Monday, unseasonably mild weather will return early next week.
