Game has unveiled its Black Friday 2024 plans, which will span from Tuesday, 29 October through Monday, 2 December, with deals available both in-store and online across South Africa. The retailer will feature month-long promotions at all locations, giving shoppers ample opportunity to secure discounts on a wide array of products, including high-demand items such as electronics, appliances, groceries, and cleaning products.

Highlighting some top deals, Game customers can save up to R6,000 on select items, such as a 65-inch QLED Smart TV. Andrew Stein, Massmart’s vice president of group marketing, shared that Game’s focus this Black Friday is on offering consumers authentic deals that meet their needs amid tight economic times. Massmart anticipates that shoppers will use the opportunity to stock up on essentials for the holiday season, as well as for the upcoming school term.
To further cater to bulk-buyers, Game will include a wide range of seasonal items like toys, camping gear, and Christmas decorations in its offerings. The Massmart team has coordinated with suppliers to secure great prices for both individual and bulk purchases, ensuring value for consumers at Game, Makro, and Builders.
Responding to strong demand for extended sales, Massmart has announced that the Black Friday promotions across its brands—Game, Makro, Builders, and Jumbo Cash & Carry—will now run for a full month. The company made the decision after positive feedback from last year’s extended sales. According to Stein, customers are looking for genuine deals that address their current financial challenges, making these prolonged promotions an ideal opportunity for many to save.
Throughout the promotion, all Game, Makro, and Builders deals will be available both online and in-store, while Jumbo Cash & Carry offers will be in-store only. Weekly specials from these brands will run as follows:
