The infamous Black Friday sale takes place every year at the end of November with prices expected to drop before the actual day of the 29th.
No longer just one day, consumers hunting down a deal will have until December 2, or so-called Cyber Monday, to make the most of this particular opportunity.
Before scrolling online or heading in-store, shoppers should look to the latest advice from the Money Saving Expert website.
The experts have offered a run-down on how to make sure you don’t miss out on the best deal.
Predicting the top dates to make purchases by comparing previous years, those with a particular gift in mind may want to double check the list.
According to the site, last year they correctly estimated 86 percent of the “70 deals” across “dozens of top retailers”.
Budding buyers not wanting to wait until the actual day of the sale are in luck as many stores have already started offering discounts on thousands of items.
Retailers with existing sales include Argos, Currys, John Lewis, Boots, Dyson and Shark with shoppers needing to be quick before stock disappears from shelves.
Amongst the Black Friday predictions, Asda is expected to offer up to 50 percent off selected items.
Fashion fanatics could see 80 percent off almost everything, while supermarket shoppers will likely be in luck as Lidl, M&S, Tesco, Asda and Aldi may drop their prices too.
Holidaymakers could also nab themselves a deal with EasyJet, interrail eurail, TUI and Railcard all potentially offering discounted rates.
Specific details of the deals have not been released meaning eagle-eyed bargain hunters could be some of the first to benefit.
Although those shopping online should look out for additional delivery fees on top of the items in their basket.
And of course just because something is on sale, does not mean it’s the best offer with plenty of time to make purchases before the Christmas gift-giving season.

Other warnings from the consumer expert site include being wary of one-off item sales which could lead to impulse spending.
For those already with their eye on something, they should start looking at prices now rather than waiting for the official Black Friday to begin.
That way they could get ahead of others hoping to nab the same item.
