The morning rush hour is off to a sticky start for commuters on the London Underground after severe delays on the Northern line due to a broken-down engineer’s train.
A stretch of the Northern line has been hit by severe delays between High Barnet and Kennington via Bank because of an earlier faulty engineering train at High Barnet. This is affecting the southbound only.
The rest of the line has good service though, the latest TfL travel status update shows.
Meanwhile, passengers should prepare for the Tube strike which is set to go ahead on Thursday and next Tuesday after TfL and the train drivers’ union Aslef have failed to reach a deal over pay and conditions. No London Underground service is expected to run on Thursday.
