Let’s start on the design.
The SURI Sustainable Electric Toothbrush is a lot slimmer than your standard toothbrush, meaning it’s comfortable and lightweight to hold, thus incredibly easy to ferry about with you in holiday (or to the office).
While I’ve got the toothbrush in the shade Winter Fern, the new Sunset Bloom is a stunning shade reminiscent of sunsets and calm, while you can also snap it up in Morning Waves, Midnight Black or Sea Mist.
Simple and sleek, it’s got a single-button design that allows you to easily switch between the two brushing modes: Everyday Clean and Polish, without the faff of app controls or gimmicky screens.
This also means that, when utilising the excellent magnetic mirror mount that perfectly holds your toothbrush aloft for less sink cleaning and even easier access, it looks effortlessly sleek. Aesthetic bathroom vibes only.
While the body of the toothbrush is made from recyclable aluminium and crafted to be repaired in case you run into any issues, the heads and bristles are completely plant-based (made from corn starch and castor oil), making the SURI toothbrush a true planet-lover’s dream.
Now onto performance.
The SURI Electric Toothbrush is the first sonic toothbrush I’ve used after being accustomed to standard, side-to-side electric brushes. Truly? I’m now a sonic convert.
The brush delivers 33,000 plaque lifting, whisper quiet vibrations per minute, gently removing 300 per cent more plaque than a manual toothbrush for healthier teeth and gums, and you can really feel the clean.
As aforementioned, you can choose between Everyday Clean or Polish modes depending on how you want the medium-soft bristles to clean, and it’s easy to switch between the two for a customised clean. I’m a ‘both’ girlie myself, enjoying the different cleans in different places.
I do truly feel that my teeth are properly clean after brushing my teeth and tongue with SURI, too, and I’ve not experienced an ounce of ‘overbrushing’ symptoms like bleeding gums. Another big win.
How’s the battery life?
After years (and years) of having to charge my toothbrush every other day, the SURI Electric Toothbrush gives me total freedom with how much battery life it offers, supplying 40+ days of life from a single four-hour fast charge.
I can charge my brush once and don’t have to worry about it running out for weeks on end, making it excellent for holidays where I once would’ve opted for a manual brush to avoid having to pack a chunky charger.
Better yet, alongside the sleek standard charger, you can add the self-cleaning travel case that zaps your brush with UV-C LED technology, killing 99.9% of bacteria on your toothbrush head in one minute, charging the brush too when plugged in.
Price?
If you opt for the toothbrush without the additional UV charging case then it’ll set you back £75 – definitely an affordable price for an electric toothbrush that really does it all (and can be fixed if it ever breaks, which is free within warranty!).
With the travel case (which I love for keeping my toothbrush clean and compact when travelling), it’ll set you back £95 instead, again a great price considering the impressive features the case offers.
