Former Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn opened up about the major cast exodus.
The actress, 43, first appeared on the Channel 4 soap in 1996, but was axed in 2021 after refusing to close down her OnlyFans account.
Her character Mandy Richardson jetted off to LA in early 2022 after a co-star allegedly reported Sarah’s account on the adult website to Hollyoaks bosses, leading to her firing.
Following the news Hollyoaks will reduce the number of episodes it airs a week from five to three this September, a number of cast and crew have left the show.
Speaking to MailOnline about the recent soap changes, she said: ‘I did go to the reunion a couple of weeks ago and caught up with a load of people’.
‘It was really gorgeous to see loads of people that I never got to say goodbye to because obviously my contract was terminated so abruptly.’

She added: ‘It also felt quite sad as well because a lot of people have lost their jobs and that breaks my heart.’
Speaking to Metro last year, Sarah Jayne revealed that OnlyFans has given her a platform to be herself rather than a character.
‘I think I’ve just found like a really nice space for me to be me to be creative, to be expressive, to be Sarah, as opposed to a character,’ she enthused.
‘It seems like a no-brainer; I got in touch with the people at OnlyFans and they were really, really helpful and I spoke to a few of the creators about how they found the platform.
‘And I was just like, yeah, this seems like it’s for me.’
Last October, Sarah took to Instagram once more to mark two years since starting her OnlyFans account.
‘Creative freedom. Unfiltered, physically and vocally. Financial stability. Control of my time and my schedule. New exciting opportunities,’ she wrote alongside a picture of herself modelling OnlyFans merch.
‘Best decision I ever made. Actually I do have one regret, not joining sooner!!’
