With the final episodes just days away, we will soon be seeing which couples make it to the final vows of MAFS UK 2024. Of course even after this there’s a high chance some will’ve split before the reunion, but this is a good indication of who will make it work after the show.
There have already been shock splits and couples leaving the experiment, so will any actually make it and be successful? Mecca Bingo has teamed up with Louella Alderson, relationship expert and co-founder of So Syncd, who has shared her predictions on the latest MAFS couples. She thinks two couples will say yes at the MAFS UK 2024 final vows, and the rest are set for failure between now and then.
Here’s the full breakdown of what she thinks.
Nathan and Lacey – Yes at final vows
The first couple who Louella thinks will say yes are golden couple, Nathan and Lacey. Of course! “Nathan and Lacey have had the steadiest MAFS journey so far and it’s clear that they have a strong connection,” she said. “It’s refreshing to see them communicate openly and honestly without any major blow-ups or drama. They’ve built a friendship and are incredibly comfortable and supportive of each other.
“Their main challenge appears to be the lack of emotional depth so far in their relationship. They’ve had fun and good physical chemistry, but there hasn’t been much talk about their pasts or deeper emotions. It will be important for Nathan to try and listen to Lacey’s needs and emotions, as she seems to be more emotionally intelligent and in tune with her feelings.
“However, based on their current progress, it’s likely that they will both say yes at the final vows and continue to build a strong relationship after the experiment.”
Ross and Sacha – Yes at final vows
It looks good for Ross and Sacha, who have had a few bumps in the road, but still clearly care for each other a lot. Louella called them an “interesting couple” and added: “They clearly have a strong emotional and physical connection, but there are some potential challenges that could arise for them.
“Sacha’s close relationship with her parents could prevent her from moving to Manchester with Ross and the potential distance could also put a strain on their relationship. Ross’ child makes it more difficult for him to move to Birmingham, so dealing with this issue will be crucial for their relationship to continue after the experiment.
“They appear to have genuine feelings for each other and are willing to communicate and work through any potential issues, which is a good sign. However, they both have ties to their respective cities, and it will be interesting to see if they can come to a compromise. It’s possible that Ross and Sacha will say yes at the final vows, but they’ll have some challenges to overcome after the experiment.”
Spoiler alert: It looks as though Ross and Sacha do say yes at final vows, but it’s since fallen apart after filming.
Polly and Adam – No at final vows
Louella has predicted failure for Polly and Adam, which from day one has looked like where their relationship is headed. She said: “From the beginning, it felt like Polly and Adam were unlikely to ever say yes at final vows, and this still feels true.
“Adam has actually had one of the best personal growth journeys we’ve seen on the show. He’s shown he has listened to Polly; he’s been open-minded about feedback, he took responsibility for issues and he apologised when needed. However, despite his best efforts, it’s clear that nothing is really good enough for Polly and her insecurities.
“Polly disregards Adam’s feelings and makes it all about her. She takes no accountability for her actions and is hypocritical. Her lack of empathy and understanding of Adam’s perspective throughout the process is a major red flag for their relationship. Polly needs to do some work on herself and her insecurities before she can truly be ready for a healthy relationship. It’s unlikely that they will last beyond the experiment, and they’ll likely say no at the final vows.”
Kieran and Kristina – No at final vows
From day one, Kieran and Kristina looked like the most solid couple. But now, that’s all changed. Louella noted they “got off to a great start with physical and emotional chemistry” but has said “their physical intimacy seems to have fizzled out”. She said Kieran is concerned they are in the friend zone, and is starting to question whether he can see a romantic future with Kristina.
Louella added: “On the other hand, Kristina seems to be more invested in their relationship and is hoping for a spark to reignite between them. She is willing to put in the effort to make things work. But Kieran’s concerns about Kristina’s PMDD and the potential impact on their relationship could be a major hurdle for them to overcome. It’s likely that Kieran and Kristina will say no at the final vows.”
Amy and Luke – No at final vows
Amy and Luke have looked messy in the last few episodes, and are predicted as another of the MAFS UK 2024 couples who won’t make it past final vows. Louella described them as “two very different people who don’t seem to be on the same page.” She said they have “opposite personalities” – with Amy being “private and reserved” while Luke is “outgoing and extroverted.”
Louella commented that “this can make for a good balance in a relationship, but there needs to be mutual understanding and respect for each other’s differences and boundaries.” She added: “In this situation, Luke continues to cross Amy’s boundaries and manages to turn everything into a sexual joke, which has made Amy visibly uncomfortable on numerous occasions.
“It’s clear that they are not on the same page and don’t have a strong foundation to build a lasting relationship. Their good sex life is not enough to sustain them. It’s likely that Amy and Luke will say no at the final vows, if not, before then. But hopefully, they can both learn from this experience and find someone who is better suited for them in the future.”
I think we’re set for a lot of heartbreak!
