I’m cheating on my wife with her best mate – at first it was an ego boost but now I’m falling for her & have zero guilt

A MAN has revealed that he is cheating on his ‘amazing’ wife with her best friend.

He claimed that at first it was a bit of an ego boost, but now, he’s falling for the woman.

Reddit users were stunned by the man’s confession and encouraged him to get a divorce[/caption]

But if that wasn’t bad enough, he confessed that he has ‘literally zero guilt’ about the situation.

Keen to open up, the man took to social media to share his infidelity, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on the r/TrueOffMyChest forum on Reddit, under the @throwaway19821108, the man titled his post ‘I’m cheating on my wife with her best friend and I think I’m falling for her.’

Sharing context of the situation, he then explained: “Whole thing is super f****d up. I’ve been married to my wife for seven years, been together since 2006.

“For the most part, she’s an amazing, smart, funny, and attractive woman. She has four degrees and she’s a teacher at a local elementary school

“Most people think I’m f*****g nuts even when I need to blow off a little steam about her. She’s literally untouchable when it comes to venting to my friends or family. That’s how highly everyone thinks of her.”

But despite his ‘attractive’ wife, the man confessed that he struggles to stay loyal.

He added: “I, for the life of me, cannot keep my d**k in my pants. I’ve had several one night stands since getting married and I mostly hate myself for that s**t.

“I slept with one of my best friends back in January and we have not hung out since because we both feel horrible about it.”

The anonymous man then shared how he has grown closer to one of his wife’s best friends, as he continued: “My wife has two best friends, M and D. They live on opposite sides of a duplex.

“We’ve known M for many years and she moved in next door to D about eight years ago.

“D was already on her second marriage (from which she has two children) at the time, soon headed for her second divorce

“She was single for a few years before eventually meeting someone she loved, and literally on her third marriage at 34, a wedding which we actually attended last year.

“We started hanging out with D and her husband R a lot more often since they got married. Some of it was convenience since she lived next door to M and we were already hanging out with her and her new boyfriend but we really enjoyed their company.

“They’re about the same age as us and into some of the same things. Slowly, I started realising how similar D and I are, to the point that others in our group of six pointed it out.

The ego boost was nice, and my wife was being an a*****e at the time

Reddit poster

“I’m not gonna go into detail about that, but it’s shocking how similar we are on multiple levels.

“I’m not stupid. I can tell when a woman likes me more than friends, even if she is married. I can pick up on hints.”

He claimed that things then progressed when his wife’s friend would send him random text messages, as he shared: “When D started texting me about random b******t here and there outside of our group chat back in January or February, I knew what was up.

“I kind of hoped it would die out, but again, I’m a piece of s**t and just fed into it.

Four red flags your partner is cheating

Private Investigator Aaron Bond from BondRees revealed four warning signs your partner might be cheating.

They start to take their phone everywhere with them

In close relationships, it’s normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something.

Aaron says: “If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.”

“You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.”

They start telling you less about their day

When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you.

“If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don’t want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.”

“Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it’s an easy way to get caught out,” says Aaron.

Their libido changes

Your partner’s libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron.

Aaron says: “Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating.  You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren’t there before.”

They become negative towards you

Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify.

“To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere.  Maybe you haven’t walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime.  A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating,” warns Aaron.

“The ego boost was nice, and my wife was being an a*****e at the time (not so much that she deserves a cheating husband, no one does).

“It wasn’t exactly a fast-moving thing, but over the course of a few months, we are now just looking to spend an hour here and an hour there together. We’re all pretty busy so this s**t is difficult.

“It’s hard to explain why I’m so crazy about D. She just gets me. Like, on a molecular level, and me, her. And we’ve acknowledged this.

“I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever felt about A the way I do about D. Some people might just think it’s because it’s something new, but again, I f****d one of my best friends and I’m not hung up on that.”

I have literally zero guilt about this affair. I know the path that I’m on, and I don’t think I hate it

Reddit poster

But the 38-year-old admitted that whilst he is constantly thinking about his wife’s pal, he doesn’t feel any guilt about the affair.

He concluded: “So here I am losing my mind about my wife’s best friend, who’s on her third marriage and probably a little unhinged.

“I’m constantly f*****g distracted just thinking about her.

“Prior instances, I could barely look at myself in the mirror, but I have literally zero guilt about this affair. I know the path that I’m on, and I don’t think I hate it.”

Reddit users react

Reddit users were left open-mouthed by the man’s confession and flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.

Many slammed the man for his actions and encouraged him to file for a divorce.

Please divorce your wife, she deserves better

Reddit user

One person said: “Divorce your wife so she can move on and find another man. Then you can both be happy.”

Another added: “At least man up and tell her, she doesn’t deserve that.”

A third commented: “I feel like if you’ve cheated on her multiple times and don’t feel awful, probably just get a divorce, things are never gonna be good.”

Meanwhile, someone else advised: “Please divorce your wife, she deserves better.”

Jockey who lives double life as TV singer on BBC show wins Melbourne Cup on 100/1 shot in incredible photo finish

JOCKEY Robbie Dolan who mesmerised with his singing on The Voice clinched victory in his debut at the Melbourne Cup on a 100/1 shot in a thrilling photo finish.

The Irishman, 28, came to many people’s attention in 2022 when he turned three chairs and joined Rita Ora’s team on the Australian version of the BBC show with a rendition of James Bay’s “Let It Go”.

But on Tuesday he was back in more familiar territory in Australia as he took to the saddle on outsider Knight’s Choice in “the race that stops a nation”.

And on his first Melbourne Cup start he guided the 100/1 shot to victory – a triumph which carries a £4.1million prize pot.

Knight’s Choice and 25/1 Japanese runner Warp Speed battled it out in the closing stages but it was the Irishman who prevailed to claim a shock win.

Speaking to Australia’s Channel Nine after the race, he said: “Pinch me, I think I’m dreaming! It’s incredible, I can’t believe it.

“I’ve never ridden in this race before so I didn’t know what to expect, but I feel like I’ve ridden in it 10 times because I’ve ran the race in my head before I got here.

“It panned out exactly as I thought it would. I thought I’d be closer, but they went quick and I decided I ride him for luck as I know he’s got a good turn of foot.

“Sheila and John were so confident in this horse before he got to the race, a lot of people doubted him but I didn’t.”

He also revealed his dad Bobby, who was a part of a horse training team which produced Cup wins in 1993 and 2002, had jetted over to Australia for the race.

He said: “My dad flew in from Ireland for this.

“I woke up the other morning and he was standing in the kitchen, I couldn’t believe it.”

Dolan revealed two years ago his love of music after impressing on The Voice.

He said: “I don’t know anything technical about music, but I’ve always been singing in the car, on the way to the races and in the shower.

“I’m not too sure if I can even sing well enough for something like this.

“I just know that I love singing, it’s definitely from the heart.

“It’s pretty exciting – it feels like a dream at this stage. Singing has always just been a hobby to me.

“I did school plays years and years ago and always really enjoyed singing.

“Racing took over my life but just recently I’ve started to learn guitar and try to do a few gigs.

“It’s a step away from racing. I’d love to get into it but it’s hard to have two lives and racing is everything at the moment.

“They are very different worlds but once I got the opportunity to perform on The Voice I was like, ‘why not, what have I got to lose?'”

Strictly’s Katya and Wynne put on a brave face after ‘grope row’ and Anton Du Beke’s awkward comment

STRICTLY Come Dancing pairing Wynne Evans and Katya Jones told fans their friendship is ‘stronger than ever’ as they move on from their ‘grope scandal’.

The Welsh opera singer, 58, and his professional dance partner, 37, were the focus of unwelcome attention a few weeks ago when viewers spotted some strange behaviour during the BBC Saturday night show.

Anton Du Beke said Wynne needed to work on his spacial awareness[/caption]

Katya could be seen moving Wynne’s hand from her midriff as well as snubbing his attempt for a high-five, leading viewers to susepct a behind the scenes feud.

However, the duo insisted it was an in-joke gone wrong and have put on a united front ever since.

After making it through another week and celebrating by sharing hugs with EastEnders‘ Jamie Borthwick, they took to Instagram yesterday for a progress update.

Katya said: “There was a lot of hugging. We did it! THANK YOU so much! I can’t tell you how grateful we are for this gift of another week of dancing.

“Boys are still together. And that makes me really happy too. The competition is tougher. Tiredness is real. But friendships and gratitude are stronger than ever’

“Week 8 can you believe it?”

The duo impressed on Saturday for Icons Week, performing an extravagant Rumba to Shirley Bassey’s This Is My Life.

Judge Anton, who was dressed as 70s era Rod Stewart, said: “The best ending to any number I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Unbelievable’.”

It followed Wynne flexing his vocal pipes to belt out the closing notes.

He continued: “I want you to be aware of your spacial awareness to your partner you get either a bit too close to her or a bit too far away from her, but apart from that I want you to carry on as you are as your technique is looking marvellous.”

The routine scored an impressive 30 points and carried them safely through, while Sam Quek was eliminated after battling it out with Montell Douglas in the dance-off.

Anton’s comment wasn’t lost on fans, who were instantly reminded of the pair’s touchy feely blunder earlier in the competition.

One person said: “Anton…most unfortunate comment ever about Wynne’s spacial awareness on relation to his partner.”

Another wrote on X: “Anton, talking about Wynne getting too close, to his partner ! #LeaveIt.”

The pair are said to have grown close and have been dating for a few months.

Luca was seen out and about with model Giulia Ciancio on Saturday in Newcastle.

They attended a couple of sporting events, including Newcastle v Arsenal at St James’ Park, before heading to the Bare Knuckle FC event at the Utilita Arena.

In one picture, Giulia could be seen trailing behind Luca as they went to watch the football match.

While another photo shows her sitting next to the reality star as he leaped up to cheer his team on.

Influencer Giulia is already a star in her own right with a following of over 44k.

She often post modelling and bikini snaps and gives fans an insight into her jet-set lifestyle.

Giulia also follows Luca on Instagram, with him following her back.

Luca’s rep declined to comment.

Luca’s new romance comes after The Sun revealed that his ex Gemma Owen is set to appear on All Stars next year.

Swimwear designer Gemma, 21, was a runner up on the ITV reality show two years ago, but split with co-star Luca, just three months later.

The new series starts in January in South Africa and is hosted by Maya Jama, 30.

A source said: “Gemma had a great time on Love Island in 2022… it wasn’t something she ever imagined signing up to but the entire experience caught her by surprise.

“She was incredibly young when she first starred on the show at 19 but now she hopes as a 21-year-old her first experience will help her at a second chance of love.

“Michael is bracing himself for another series supporting his daughter date in front of the nation – but he was so proud of Gemma during her first villa stint, he knows she’s sensible and can be trusted.

“As well as finding a long term partner, Gemma has seen how lucrative All Stars can be for the Islanders taking part and as a savvy businesswoman, she definitely sees it as a money making opportunity.”

Earlier this year, Gemma had sparked romance rumours with a tattooed hunk after they attended the Kentucky Derby together.

She spent time with Irish style creator Damien Broderick, who had recently split from his influencer girlfriend Karina Lira.

Gemma came second on Love Island 2022 with her previous ex-boyfriend Luca Bish.

She took to her Instagram account at the end of 2022 to publicly announce the news of her separation from Luca.

Cheap gadgets to help you stay warm

Heating “the human not the home” means you warm yourself instead of turning on the heating and heating the whole house.

This can save money on your heating bill and means you don’t have to sit in the cold.

  • Heated insoles – initial cost £10, cost to run less than 1p an hour

It will stick immediately to windows and door frames and can be applied in a matter of seconds, making it the perfect pick this winter.

Shoppers flocked to the B&Q website to share their rave reviews of the cheap product, which now has an average rating of 4.5 out of five.

Shoppers stressed the value of the product and its ease of use.

One person said: “Great for filling in those draughty gaps in windows. Easy to apply.”

Whilst another praised the product and added: “This product is perfect for those nagging draughts.

“Did what I needed on a draught coming in a window, stocks well and the brush stops the draught coming in.”

5 Money-saving tips for autumn/winter

1. Draught-proof your home

It takes time and money to heat up your home, so it’s important that you do as much as you can to keep in the warmth. Close your doors and windows, and fill any gaps with a draught excluder.

2. Dial down your thermostat

According to Energy UK, turning down your thermostat by just one degree Celsius could cut your heating bill by up to 10%, and save you around £85 per year. Plus, if you don’t have a thermostat, installing one could save up to £70 per year!

3. Move furniture around

Make sure not big, bulky furniture like sofas are blocking radiators.

4. Wash clothes on a lower temp and add an extra spin

Unless it’s bedding, towels or really dirty items, dial down the temperature to 20 or 30 degrees, and do a double spin to remove excess water.

5. Heat the person not the home

There’s not point heating up a room that no one is sitting in, so be mindful about which radiators are on.
