EastEnders favourite to be brutally attacked as Nish Panesar reveals sickening revenge plot

EASTENDERS is lining up a brutal assault as Nish Panesar plots his sickening revenge against ex-wife Suki and her new love Eve Unwin.

The killer – who is played by actor Navin Chowdhry in the BBC soap – manipulated his way into ex-wife Suki Panesar’s engagement party by using his grandchildren.

He somehow managed to convince daughter-in-law Habiba to agree to send her son to visit them, before telling Avani and Nugget who begged for Nish to be included.

Suki and Eve relented and invited Nish, letting him see how happy they were together – but it backfired.

“You don’t mind about the kids wanting their grandad here?” asked Suki in what she thought was a private moment.

Eve told her: “Well I am marrying your whole family so… I mean i did maybe think we’d have one evening without him…”

Suki told her they would have tomorrow with their grandson – but Even told her he would be there too, adding: “As if he’s going to miss the chance to show another heir that he’s actually human.”

But Suki assured her: “No, half a day for him and half a day for you and me. And when little Ti goes home babbling on about how amazing you are, maybe he’ll see how fantastic it is to have two grandmothers showering him with love. Maybe then, Habiba will agree to us seeing him regularly.”

Eve added: “And then by then he won’t even remember his long dead grandad that he once spent half a day with.”

But as the women cackled at Nish’s imminent demise, he was shown to be listening to every word – and his face hardened.

Heading outside he made a call and put a devastating plan into action.

Watching Eve and Suki on the balcony, he told someone on the phone: “Not too much, just rough her up a bit.

EastEnders stars who QUIT

MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year?

The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year.

Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998.

Yet what about the 2024 exits?

Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had “quit” the long-running series.

It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen.

Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford.

Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would “quit out of boredom” over recent storylines.

Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame.

One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky.

He played Stacey Slater’s brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel.

Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse.

Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay’s Netflix movie 6 Underground.

Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005.

She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008.

“Enough to put her in hospital for a decent stretch…”

It’s not yet known which of the women Nish is planning on having attacked but neither will be safe from his vicious revenge.

My hair is shinier than ever and it’s thanks to a £13 Boots buy

Between my habit of tugging at my hair, bleaching it to get that balayage look, frying it with heat, and the chilly weather, my hair’s ended up like a dry, brittle mess.

I’ve been on the hunt for a budget-friendly hair miracle to fix all this, and honestly, I thought it would be a tough find.

a woman in a grey sweater is holding a bottle of tresemme
Tresemmé’s haircare bundle rolls £21 worth of goodies into a £13 bundles

Tresemmé Lamellar Shine
Complete Bundle, £13 (worth £21)

But Tresemmé’s Lamellar Shine Bundle has been the lifesaver my long hair was crying out for.

This haircare bundle brought my hair back to life after just one go, and I was super impressed, especially since it only costs £13 at Boots.

This set has four goodies in it: a shampoo and conditioner from the Lamellar line, a Leave-In Cream Serum, and an Instant Shine Mask.

If you grabbed each of these separately, you’d be looking at £21, but snagging the bundle for £13 is a total bargain in my book.

The only thing missing is the Finishing Oil, which is currently on offer for £5, down from £10, and it can give your dry, styled hair that extra glossy touch.

But if I had to pick just one must-have from the bundle, it’s definitely the Leave-In Cream Serum, now going for £3.50 in Boots’ half-price sale.

hair-shiniest-tresemme-leamellar-range
The full Tresemmé bundle includes shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and leave-in conditioner

Tresemmé Lamellar Shine
Complete Bundle, £13 (worth £21)

This four-piece set is a great way to try out all the hair products without spending a ton, plus you get to treat yourself to some pampering.

The Lamellar Shine Cream was the first thing I tried from the bunch, and it really impressed me.

I’m all about easy-to-use hair products since I don’t do much with my hair routine.

I try not to overload my scalp and hair with too many products because it’s already fragile, especially after years of tugging at it.

That’s why I’m all for this lightweight, leave-in serum. You can use it as a leave-in conditioner after washing your hair, and you don’t have to rinse it out.

You can also use it after shampooing by working it in and rinsing it out, but I haven’t tried that yet since I prefer quick hair solutions, and leave-ins are just way more convenient.

Excited to give this stuff a go, I washed my hair with some shampoo and conditioner I was trying to use up, then put it on my damp hair.
This stuff glided through my knotty hair like a dream.

As my hair dried, it totally calmed down the frizz and flyaways I usually deal with and boosted my hair’s shine, which was awesome since it had been looking super dry lately.

Even when I styled my hair with my favourite Shark FlexStyle or the various Dyson Airwrap dupes I’ve tried over the years, it stayed shiny and felt incredibly smooth.

I even gave it a shot on dry hair between washes, and it didn’t make my hair oily. Instead, it gave my locks a nice hydration boost and brought my style back to life.

Then, I decided to go all-in with the whole set for a well-deserved pamper session, and once again, I was pretty impressed.

I used Tresemmé’s Lamellar Shampoo and Conditioner during my usual haircare routine, giving my scalp a good massage.

After that, I slapped on the hair mask on damp hair for five minutes, rinsed it out, and finished up with the leave-in serum for a complete haircare overhaul.

I don’t usually stick to such a hardcore routine, but I decided to try it to get my hair looking healthy again. It worked like a charm, and the effects lasted a good while too.

I don’t do these steps every day, but lately, I’ve been sticking to using the shampoo and conditioner, plus the leave-in treatment, and honestly, that’s enough to keep my hair silky, smooth, and shiny without any frizz.

Seems like there’s some hair magic happening behind the scenes too.
Every product in Tresemmé’s Lamellar line is loaded with amino acids and ceramides to heal, nourish, and fix up damaged hair, while also giving it that shiny finish.

The Lamellar Technology works its magic on each hair strand at a deep level, sealing the hair for a silky finish, making it stronger, and leaving it healthier overall.

Someone explained the cool science to me by saying it repairs your hair from top to bottom, instead of side to side. This helps fix split ends and cuts down on frizz, and I believe it really does the trick.

My hair not only feels super soft and shiny, but I’ve even gotten compliments on how great it smells, and I’ve got Tresemmé’s awesome products to thank for that.

It’s unclear how long the discount on the Tresemmé Lamellar range will stick around, so I highly suggest you grab the whole set right away!

While you’re shopping the Boots sale, keep your eyes peeled for this scalp serum from L’Oreal.

Millions of phones receive free Android 15 upgrade TODAY with important tool to stop street thieves and more

GOOGLE’S highly-anticipated Android 15 upgrade is finally landing on smartphones today with a bunch of mega new features.

The tech giant made the unusual step of releasing a brand new device, the Pixel 9 series, without the new operating system loaded on it in August.

a phone that has the number 15 on it
Google
Google has gone big on anti-theft and privacy this time around on Android[/caption]

From today, Pixel handsets will receive the bumper upgrade.

Among the biggest additions are improved security features following a wave of phone thefts.

More than 200 smartphones are snatched every day in the UK currently — some 78,000 a year.

The rate is the highest for over a decade, Home Office statistics reveal, with overall thefts from a person increasing by more than a third.

Earlier this year, Google revealed a genius deterrent called Theft Detection Lock which automatically locks a smartphone if it’s snatched out of your hands by a thief, meaning they can’t raid your bank accounts while it’s unlocked.

AI cleverly detects the sort of motion associated with snatches followed by running biking or driving away.

Android 15 also boasts extra protections that prevent thieves from guessing your passwords and accessing sensitive information.

Elsewhere on your phone, you’ll now find a private space where you can keep apps you don’t know want to keep hidden from view.

But aside from security and privacy, there are some other useful tools to use.

For photography lovers, there’s low light boost and in-app camera controls which now work better in low-light conditions.

Third-party apps also have more camera control, like more precise flash control.

Android users will also be able to use satellite connectivity to send and receive messages without a mobile or Wi-Fi connection for emergencies.

The upgrade is rolling out to eligible Pixel handsets from today.

But some new features are limited to newer models.

Isolate sounds with Audio Magic Eraser is now available to reduce distracting sounds in your videos, like howling winds or noisy crowds – only avaialble for Pixel 8 and newer.

New editing capabilities let you adjust specific sounds to make them louder or quieter too.

Even the Pixel Weather app has had some work done with a pollen tracker added so people can check current pollen index levels, pollen types and forecasts before stepping outside.

And specifically for the UK and Japan, Call Screen has been improved.

Google says a more human-sounding voice can talk to the caller and show you what they’re saying in real time, helping you decide if you want to pick up.

And Brit users will have access to improved replies as well, so you can respond to things like appointment confirmations and reservations without having to answer the phone.

Why you should upgrade now

By Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun

Android 15’s big new anti-theft features come amid an explosion in such crime.

Policing Minister Dame Diana Johnson recently said phone companies “must ensure any stolen phones can be quickly, easily and permanently disabled, rather than re-registered for sale” – and it seems Google has moved to help with just that.

Google says Theft Detection Lock is rolling out gradually to ensure compatibility with various devices, starting today with Android devices that cover 90 per cent of active users worldwide.

When you do receive Android 15, you’d be wise to set it up and switch it on.

Police splash $150k on Cybertruck with flashing lights & storage for WEAPONS… but EV won’t be used to chase criminals

A MAJOR police department has splashed out on a $150,000 Tesla Cybertruck – but it won’t be used to chase criminals.

The quirky EV, which has faced multiple recalls since its release last year – including issues with the accelerator and windshield wipers – comes kitted out with flashing lights and a storage space for weapons.

The Elon Musk creation comes with flashing lights and police graphics on the side[/caption]

Police in California unveiled the new vehicle for their Irvine fleet in a recent video shared on social media, revealing that it is “the first police cybertruck in the nation.”

But while it may look the part, the Cybertruck is unlikely to see any proper action and will be mostly used for show.

The Irvine Police department plans to use the Elon Musk creation as part of its Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program in a bid to make its anti-drug events at schools more engaging.

However, the Irvine PD said it will still be capable of responding to emergencies and assisting the local community when required.

In a post on their Facebook page, the department said: “For over three decades, our D.A.R.E. officers have driven attention-grabbing and one-of-a-kind vehicles that never fail to turn heads and excite student.”

Irvine’s D.A.R.E. program, which has been running for 40 years, is known for using unique vehicles to connect with students.

Police spokesperson Kyle Oldoerp said: “The goal has always been to have a unique vehicle that doesn’t look like a police car, that is approachable by kids and students to encourage interaction between officers and our schools and our community.”

Kitted out by Unplugged Performance, who are world-renowned for their premium upgrades for Tesla vehicles, the Cybertruck comes with emergency lights, custom graphics, and police communications tech inside the cabin, as well as a space for weapons.

Since its launch, the Cybertruck has commanded plenty of attention for itself.

Its launch event was particularly memorable, with Tesla’s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, accidentally shattering one of its windows while attempting to demonstrate its toughness.

The massive slab-shaped vehicle has previously been dubbed “indestructible” when its creator unveiled the bulletproof car back in 2019.

Despite concerns, Oldoerp said the police department isn’t worried and even mentioned that recalls are routine for their fleet.

What’s more, a Tesla repair facility is located nearby to handle any issues they may have.

Ordinarily, the department will fork out $116,000 for a standard patrol car, the Ford Interceptor, compared to the $150,000 price-tag for the Cybertruck.

But while the Interceptor typically lasts three to four years, the Cybertruck is expected to serve for a decade.

Better yet, they believe they’ll save $6,000 in fuel over the next five years thanks to its electric power.

A host of A-list celebs have been spotted behind the wheel of a Cybertruck, including Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Shaq, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Pharrell Williams.

The 65p Asda buy that gets rid of condensation and mould with no scrubbing

A SIMPLE kitchen essential which costs just 65p in Asda could clear up your damp and mould problem.

Homeowners have turned to cheap methods of condensation prevention as the effects of harsh weather have begun to show.

a white bowl with a grey rim filled with white powder
Salt costs no more than 65p from your local supermarket

They are reaching for salt as a damp-defying item which costs them zero cash and can already be found in the kitchen cupboard.

Salt can absorb large quantities of moisture and prevent it dwelling on your window sills, walls and surfaces.

And if you don’t already have a shaker lying around your kitchen it’s cheap to buy in most supermarkets.

You can buy 750g of table salt from Asda, Sainsbury’s or Aldi for just 65p.

Or if you’re shopping in Waitrose or Tesco it’s just 5p more at 70p.

Rock salt is more absorbent than table salt, however, and is a bit more expensive – priced at £1.80 for 500g.

You can pour small amounts of your salt into bowls or ramekins and leave them in the areas of your house which are prone to condensation.

Within a day the salt will dehumidify the air causing moisture to be cleared up.

You can then dry the salt out in the oven if it becomes damp and start again – meaning no waste and no need to keep buying.

Katie Mortram, Good Housekeeping’s Household advice editor told The Sun: “‘Salt will gradually absorb moisture from the atmosphere because it’s hygroscopic.

“If you keep an open saltshaker in your kitchen, you might even notice the effects of this over time; clogging and even potentially rusting the container. “

And when The Sun tried the trick in 2022, we found it worked pretty well.

Reporter Harriet Cooke wrote: “To my surprise, they worked pretty effectively.”

She told readers that her humidity reading had dropped from 88 to 62 overnight.

And others online have shared their experiences with the method too.

A Reddit user explained how it had been effective in their home for seven years and also recommended wrapping the salt in paper towels.

They said: “It helps keep it all together and not leave stains but is still breathable enough to let the salt absorb the moisture.

“That almost always worked to keep the condensation away and keep it warmer in the house.”

And this is a great alternative to buying an electrical dehumidifier which plugs into the wall at home.

Dehumidifiers draw in warm air and cool it by passing it over refrigerated coils.

This causes the air to contract and lose moisture as it cools.

In Halfords, the SIP 20 Litre Dehumidifier costs £239.99.

While a cheaper 12 litre version from Dunelm costs £120.

It also costs to run the appliance – this is usually only 4p an hour but it still helps to save on monthly costs.

This is why DIY methods such as using salt are preferred by many to keep bills down.

This is especially important this winter as 28 million UK households on standard variable tariffs (SVT) are facing an increased energy price cap.

Ofgem previously announced that bills will rise this month by 10% causing households to spend an annual £149 extra on average.

This means more people will be facing colder temperatures – and need cost-efficient methods of tackling bad weather.

One reason people face problems with condensation is due to poor windows which are broken or the insides of the panes are saturated.

It is very expensive to have new windows installed or to fix the problem with double glazing.

Installing a new window can cost anywhere between £550 and £1,500 according to CheckATrade.com.

This depends on the size of the window, what type of window it is and where you live.

On average it costs Brits anywhere between £300 and £5,000 to add double glazing to existing windows.

And homeowners who don’t fix the problem of damp also face health risks from mould spores and the cost of damage repair.

CheckATrade values the average mould removal cost this year to be £30 an hour – or as much as £300 a room.

By using cheap home remedies for these problems you don’t need to pay this money out at all.

For example, The Sun also tried baking soda and cat litter and they worked just as well as the salt and brought humidity levels down to 60.

What is mould and how to get rid of it?

Mould is more likely to grow during the winter months.

Olivia Young, Product Development Scientist at Astonish revealed exactly why this is.

“Unfortunately, mould is a common problem many people face during winter. It thrives in conditions that are warm and damp, so your bathrooms are likely to be the most affected place.

“That said, during the colder months most rooms in your home could be vulnerable to mould growing.

“This occurs primarily from condensation that builds up on your windows when you’ve got your radiators on.

“If you think about it, when windows and doors are closed, there’s not much chance for the air to circulate and the moisture to make a swift exit.

“This build up is what can cause dreaded mould to make an appearance, especially in bathrooms, as it creates that warm and wet environment that is a breeding ground for mould.

“If left untreated, not only is it unsightly but it can also pose a serious risk to your health, so it’s really important you treat it.

“The key to tackle mould is to act fast.

“Try to come into as little contact with it as you can. So, grab your gloves, tie up your hair and get to work to remove any signs of mould as soon as you notice them.

“To keep mould at bay, there are some simple solutions you can introduce throughout home.

“The first is keep it ventilated. Yes, even in the cold winter months try to leave your bathroom window open for at least 10/15 minutes post shower or bath. This will get rid of any excess moisture quickly preventing mould gathering.

“If you’re having a repeat problem with mould in one particular area, it might be because the humidity levels are too high. You can get a dehumidifier that will help keep the levels low and reduce the risk of mould returning.

“The golden rule to remember when dealing with mould is the quicker you can treat it, the better. If you leave it, it will only get worse so never ignore it!

“To successfully get rid of mould every time, I recommend opting for the UK’s No 1 Mould & Mildew Remover, that effectively removes mould and mildew stains almost instantly, with no scrubbing necessary.”

OTHER CHEAP WAYS TO BEAT CONDENSATION

Other dehumidifying items which are similar to salt and don’t break the bank include cat litter and baking soda.

When The Sun tested these products they both brought humidity levels down to 60 – which means they definitely work if you’re looking to reduce condensation at zero cost.

However Unibond Aero 360 dehumidifiers were classed the best solution for fighting damp out of those which were tested in this review.

Refillable moisture absorbers such as these are perfect for absorbing condensation and eliminating bad odours in the home.

You can see when they are filling up so you know that they are working – then you can empty them and start again.

The Unibond absorbers are currently available for £10.12 in Sainsbury’s with a Nectar Card – reduced from £14.

However you can also buy less common brands on Amazon which work just the same.

You can currently buy a pack of 10 Vivo Technologies dehumidifiers for just £11.99 on Prime.

That’s £1.20 an absorber which lasts up to four months – so around 30p a month.

The Sun recently explained the benefits of reusable dehumidifier bags.

The bags were originally designed to be placed in cars but homeowners have noticed they can be useful anywhere – including around the house.

The Simply Reusable Car Dehumidifier can be bought from Halfords for as cheap £7.99 making it a bargain investment compared to the Unibonds Aero 360 considering its unlimited use.

The compact bag absorbs and releases moisture due to its silica gel interior and features a heat sensor which changes from blue to pink to indicate when it needs to be “recharged” back in a microwave.

Meanwhile, we also tried a heated airer and dehumidifier for drying clothes without heating.

Will Owen from Uswitch also recommended: “If you are struggling with condensation, opening your windows for a few hours a day can help.

“Try to do this as much as you can while the weather is warmer, as it becomes harder when temperatures drop in winter.”

He also reminded us that extractor fans are great at sucking up any humidity.

With most bathroom fans all you need to do is turn your bathroom light on and off and that usually does the trick.

Fan favourite horror film branded ‘fantastically twisted’ is on TV tonight

HORROR enthusiasts are in for a chilling treat tonight, as a critically acclaimed thriller from Jordan Peele is set to be screened on TV.

Widely hailed as one of the most inventive and terrifying films of the 21st century, Get Out captivated audiences with its sharp social commentary.

Eventually the event turns into something more sinister[/caption]

The film was first released in 2017, but will be shown on BBC Three at 10pm tonight.

Get Out tells the story of Chris Washington (Daniel Kaluuya), a black man who goes on a road trip to meet the family of his white girlfriend, Rose Armitage (Allison Williams).

What starts as a seemingly awkward but typical family visit quickly spirals into a nightmarish situation when Chris uncovers unsettling truths about Rose’s parents and their sinister connection to an underground operation.

The horror flick, which Peele both wrote and directed, has earned praise from critics for its “fantastically twisted” plot and unsettling atmosphere.

It mixes psychological horror with satire to address the big issues of racism and social privilege.

Get Out was Jordan Peele’s first breakout film, and quickly established his reputation as a director who is able to deliver social critique on screen through a mixture of suspense and horror.

Lead actor Daniel has recently opened up about his experience of working on the film, describing it as a “tough shoot”.

He told Deadline: “We did it in 23 days. It was a tough shoot. We had to stay very focused. Jordan knew how to work with actors and he was smart to cast people with improv experience.

“Jordan Peele is Jordan Peele now but he was Key and Peele, the sketch show guy then.

“I knew he’d made an amazing script and on set he was just happy doing what he’s supposed to be doing. It felt like someone who was supposed to direct. He was jumping for joy.”

At the time when the film had just been released, Daniel spoke to GQ about some of the personal experiences with racism he drew from when connecting with the character of Chris.

He told the magazine: “I was working from my life experiences. I go into a f**king shop and I’m followed by a security guard.

“Since I was 12. I don’t have to look for it. It finds me. You’re getting singled out for the color of your skin, but not the content of your spirit, and that’s everywhere.”

No10 refuse to deny that Sir Keir met Taylor Swift after popstar was granted taxpayer-funded security in London

DOWNING Street today refused to deny that Sir Keir Starmer personally met with Taylor Swift after ministers intervened in talks about her security.

The Sun understands the PM and the popstar spent time together at her Wembley show on August 20.

The meet-up came after the Met eventually decided to give the Shake It Off singer taxpayer funded blue-light security, with senior Labour politicians admitting they were involved in talks about the move.

A No10 spokesperson this afternoon insisted it was “entirely legitimate” for ministers to hold talks with cops about security for major events.

But asked whether the PM and Cruel Summer songstress met up, they said: “I don’t have any updates.”

Pressed again on whether Downing St could deny Sir Keir met Swift after intervening in security arrangements, they added: “Again, first and foremost these are operational decisions that are taken by the Metropolitan Police, and you have seen their statements confirming that themselves.

Fat jab rollout could ‘overwhelm’ NHS as clinics are already struggling

“At the same time it is right and expected that the Government, mayor and police do have a dialogue and discuss the policing of major events in the capital.”

Sir Keir attended the Wembley show after being gifted freebie tickets by Swift’s music label.

Last night The Sun revealed that Tay’s mum negotiated her VIP security directly with ex-No10 aide Sue Gray.

Sir Keir’s then Chief of Staff was central to convincing Met Police chiefs into the rethink.

They had rejected calls for outriders to whisk the superstar to Wembley.

But sources claim Andrea Swift, who acts as Taylor’s manager, threatened to cancel the August dates of her Eras Tour if their taxpayer-funded security demands were not met.

The row has led to questions in the Commons — including over who instructed the Government’s top lawyer to soothe police fears.

Attorney General Richard Hermer was dragged into Swiftgate with Home Secretary Yvette Cooper and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan — who were also involved in negotiations.

Shadow Cabinet Office minister John Glen asked: “What role did Downing Street play in the VIP escort, further to the free tickets for Taylor Swift from Universal Music?”

Minister Ellie Reeves declined to comment.
