MILLIONS of Tesco customers have been urged to use their clubcard vouchers before they expire on November 30.

However, a simple trick could see shoppers extend their vouchers or potentially double its value.

More than £18million in vouchers still need to be used before the end of the month.

Martin Lewis reveals the simple tricks to extending Tesco’s Clubcard vouchers.

You’ll need to extend your vouchers by 11.59pm on Saturday November 30.

There are three options to extend the rewards beyond the expiry date:

• Make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page (not in store or on other Tesco pages) or donate to one of its partner charities. The remaining balance is credited back to your Clubcard account as points. So if you spend 50p using a £5 Clubcard voucher, you’ll get 450 points back (worth £4.50).
• You can then swap your points for vouchers manually or wait for them to be converted with your next statement. The expiry date for these new vouchers will be two years in the future.
• There’s no minimum spend, but the aim’s to shell out as little as possible. A good option might be a 50p restaurant voucher (worth £1 at your chosen restaurant).

Alternatively, you can double the value of your vouchers by spending them at Tesco’s Reward Partners, such as Disney+, Legoland, and Pizza Express.

For example, 500 points are usually worth £5 to spend at Tesco – but if you exchange your vouchers for codes to use with a Reward Partner, 500 points are worth £10.

Shoppers on the Clubcard scheme receive vouchers after spending in-store or online, with every 150 points worth £1.50.

These vouchers can be used on your weekly food shop and with any number of Tesco‘s partners including PizzaExpress and Hotels.com.

Any vouchers spent with a Tesco partner are also worth two times their normal value.

How does Tesco’s Clubcard work?

You earn points as you shop, which can then be turned into vouchers for money off food or with Tesco’s partners.

You earn one point for each £1 spent, and each point is then worth 1p.

So 150 points gets you £1.50, and you would have to spend £150 to get 150 points.

You need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher.

Any vouchers are worth their face value when used in-store at Tesco.

But you can double their worth by spending them at one of the supermarket chain’s partners.

There are over 100 partners you can spend your Clubcard points with, including the RAC, Disney+ and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.

Points spent with partners used to be worth triple value, but Tesco changed this to double last year.

Any vouchers transferred into Reward Partner codes expire after six months.

Loyalty card holders also get access to over 8,000 items for less through Clubcard Prices.

RECLAIM LOST CLUBCARD POINTS

Many people lose or forget to use their Tesco vouchers, but there’s an easy way to claw back the last two years of unused vouchers.

Here’s exactly how to find out if you have any unused vouchers.

The first step is to log into your Tesco Clubcard account on Tesco.com or via the Clubcard app.

You’ll need your name, email address and Clubcard number to hand.

Once you’ve logged in, navigate to “My Clubcard Account” and then click on “Vouchers” to see a full list of any vouchers you still have to spend.

You can use the code included in your voucher to spend online.

If you want to redeem them in-store, you’ll need to print them off and take them with you. 

LIVERPOOL boss Arne Slot’s new home is nearer his two Manchester arch rivals.

The Dutchman, 46, has bought a five-bedroom pile in Hale Barns.

He and wife Mirjam will be ten miles from Manchester United’s Old Trafford and 11 from Man City’s Etihad Stadium.

A source said: “There’s a saying, keep your friends close and enemies closer.

“Well, Arne couldn’t be any closer if he tried. It will probably cause a few raised eyebrows but he’s not the first Liverpool man to live in Manchester.

“Quite a few players live over there, despite the history between the clubs. It’s a beautiful area.”

Slot’s new pad, once home to United’s Victor Lindelof and City’s Gabriel Jesus, has previously been voted Best Luxury Home at the Northern Design Awards.

Slot turned down the offer of moving into predecessor Jurgen Klopp’s rented seven-bed home in Formby.

The £4million mansion north of Liverpool, originally owned by Liverpool great Steven Gerrard, is now up for sale.

But the Sussexes, who have been spending an increasing amount of time apart, do not plan to live in their new pad, The Sun understands.

It is not known if the property will be rented out, used for Airbnb-style holiday lets or used purely to park money.

But it is seen as the first step of putting earnings from their TV and book deals into a global property empire.

“They’re being smart with their money,” a source said.

They pocketed £75million from streaming giant Netflix where they laid into fellow royals in a six-part series.

Meanwhile Harry, who got a £15million advance for his autobiography Spare, also inherited £8million from the late Queen Mother after turning 40 in September.

Palace insiders have been concerned about what will happen when the Sussexes run out of cash.

They have huge overheads, forking out a fortune on security in the US and for when Harry visits the UK.

And they are still paying a mortgage on the £11million Montecito mansion they bought after quitting as working royals in 2020.

Insiders say the Portugal home will be part of a financial portfolio which will include more real estate.

But the couple still do not own a home in the UK following their eviction from Frogmore Cottage last year.

The pair are now on a twin-track business plan, with Meghan hoping to sell jam and Harry hoping to announce separate projects.

A confidant insisted: “It is normal for couples to not do everything together.”

A Sussexes spokesman last night declined to comment.

KERRY Katona is set to lose a huge TV project after her shock split from Ryan Mahoney.

The TV favourite, 44, was said to be in talks for her own fly-on-the wall show with personal trainer Ryan, 36.

It would have featured the pair’s relationship ahead of their wedding.

But the series is now being scrapped after news of her split.

A source told The Sun: “Kerry was secretly working on a reality show that was going to follow them in the lead up to their wedding, as well as filming all the  action from the big day.

“There wasn’t a channel attached yet but Kerry had done a deal with a big production company and was really excited.

“Sadly, now the marriage is off, there is no TV show.

“It’s a blow for Kerry but right now, she has enough on her plate dealing with her heartbreak and her mum in hospital.

“It’s not a great time for her, but she is a survivor and has battled through a lot worse.”

It comes after The Sun revealed that Kerry’s relationship began to go downhill when she felt “unsupported” by her partner during recent events.

A source told The Sun: “It’s not like anyone has cheated – Kerry’s felt over the last couple of months that Ryan hasn’t been that supportive – when she moved into a new home he was no help.

“Basically since her mum went into hospital he’s not been there for her.”

The pair sparked split rumours earlier this year when she moved in with her mum.

Kerry spoke out while visiting her sick mum Sue in hospital, after Sue was rushed to A&E with blood clots found in her lungs.

A source said that Kerry became fed up with her partner being “lazy” and didn’t see a long-term future with him.

They added: “It was on the rocks before her mum was sick and that was the final straw.

“He’s not a bad person, he’s just lazy and she doesn’t want lazy.

“Ryan’s still living at the house while Kerry is staying with her mum. She’s really really sad about it.”

Earlier today Kerry today shared an update on Sue with her followers this week, telling them the doctor had been to visit Sue on the ward.

One fan cracked a joke in the comments on Instagram, writing: “So much love to you both, and is the Dr single?”

Kerry typed back to the fan: “No, but I am!”

It comes as mum-of-five Kerry opened up about plans to marry Ryan, but later revealed she felt “unsupported” by her younger fiancé.

She said her eldest daughters Lilly-Sue and Molly – who she shares with ex-husband Brian McFadden – insisted they wanted to be there, and so the Las Vegas wedding was off.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Kerry said: “Ryan and I were looking to go to Vegas to finally get married but Molly and Lilly said, ‘Don’t you dare do that without us’.

“I told them they’d already been at too many of my weddings! That put those plans on the backburner.”

Kerry later had surgery on her nose after years of drug abuse left her at risk of it collapsing.

The gruelling operation saw surgeons take a piece of her rib to rebuild her nose.

Following the operation she confessed to feeling “unsupported” by Ryan.

Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “I want to say a massive thank you to my mum, who has been my rock during the last couple of weeks.

“I’ve been staying at hers and she’s really looked after me.

“If I’m honest, I’ve felt more lonely than ever during my recovery. Ryan was away getting a tattoo in London when I went into hospital and I haven’t seen him since my surgery over a week ago.

“That upset me, because it made me feel unsupported and I could have done with the emotional support.

“I’m always the ‘strong mum’ in our house and this week I really wanted to be looked after and have him here, but I had my mum instead.”

Ryan got down in on one knee on holiday in Spain while celebrating Kerry’s 40th birthday.

Ryan popped the question after asking Kerry’s five children, Molly, Lilly, Heidi, Max, and DJ, for their blessing.

THE Sun’s long-running battle to keep fuel duty frozen has saved cash-strapped drivers a total of £100billion, according to the spending watchdog.

And, in a telling tribute to our campaign, the decision not to raise pump prices in Wednesday’s Budget won the widest support among voters.

A thumping 73 per cent backed it in a poll on Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ announcements.

The policy even topped other big-ticket items such as £22.6billion for the NHS and compensation for the infected blood scandal.

They were supported by 72 and 68 per cent respectively.

The poll of 2002 adults comes amid claims from the Office for Budget Responsibility that the cost to the Treasury of maintaining the freeze from 2010/11 to 2025/26 will hit £100billion.

But motorists’ champion and Tory MP Saqib Bhatti hit out: “Their analysis actually shows how important cuts to fuel duty have been since 2010/2011 with drivers saving £100billion.

“If it wasn’t from pressure from the Conservatives, FairFuelUk and The Sun, Britain’s 37million motorists would have been impacted in this woeful Budget that has undermined the people’s confidence in the Government.

“Luckily, we were able to help hard-working families and small businesses across the country by forcing Rachel Reeves into a U-turn.”

Fears had been mounting that Ms Reeves could reverse the 5p a litre cut and reinstate an inflationary increase. This could have added £3.85 to the cost of filling up an average family car.

Instead the Chancellor resisted Treasury demands — even as she unveiled £40billion of tax rises elsewhere.

The JL Partners poll for Arden Strategies found support for freezing fuel duty is booming across all age groups.

It was backed by 83 per cent of voters aged between 55 and 64, while 71 per cent of voters aged 25 to 34 are also in support.

And the support also crosses party lines, with 85 per cent of Tory voters, 71 per cent of Labour supporters, and 81 per cent of Reform UK’s backers all behind the policy.

Scarlett Maguire, director at JL Partners, said: “The public are fully behind Labour’s commitment to continue the fuel duty freeze.

“It was the most popular measure of Rachel Reeves’ first Budget, even trumping the extra billions of pounds pledged to the NHS.”

Labour MP Graeme Downie said: “I met with small businesses yesterday, who were pleased, and I know it is really helpful for ordinary working people as well.”

Hailing the crucial role of The Sun’s crusade against fuel duty rises, the AA spokesman on pump prices Luke Bosdet added: “With 70 per cent of commutes to work outside London done by car, rising to 81 per cent in rural areas, it is little wonder that maintaining the duty freeze was so popular.

“It underlines the importance of The Sun’s Keep it Down campaign and serves as a warning for future Budgets.

Households have had a miserable two to three years trying to make ends meet.

“The fact of the matter is that a hike in road fuel costs most hits those on low-incomes and with finances on a knife-edge.

“Resurrecting fuel duty increases when petrol and diesel remains very expensive historically would have caused a backlash.”

The poll also reveals a stark contrast to other measures announced in the Budget, such as the increase in air passenger duty, which received only 47 per cent support.

Increases in capital gains tax were approved by just six per cent.

The rise in the rate of employers pay in National Insurance also got the thumbs-down, with six per cent more respondents against it than supporting it.

Meanwhile post-Budget jitters around Britain’s growth prospects have made the cost of government borrowings more expensive.

Government bond yields were choppy yesterday but the Chancellor could breathe a sigh of relief there was not a more dramatic market rout.

Government bonds rose to 4.46 per cent, slightly above the 4.43 per cent a day earlier.

It is still higher than the panic level caused by Liz Truss’s mini-Budget meltdown in 2022, albeit the shift was far less dramatic.

Meanwhile, the Pound yesterday strengthened against the dollar back to $1.29 and the London stock markets closed higher.

£950 a day is fair pay

PAYING a mandarin £950 a day to determine taxpayer value for money is fair, a minister insisted yesterday.

Treasury Secretary Darren Jones defended HS2 board member David Goldstone becoming chair of the new Office for Value for Money where on average he will work one day a week.

Mr Jones said yesterday: “Actually, the day rate for David is, on a benchmark basis, competitive.”

Mr Goldstone will take up the independent role for a year.

GEORGE RUSSELL has revealed he lost more than £100,000 during his first season in Formula 1.

The Mercedes driver, 26, is now the joint-fifth highest earning driver on the grid, raking in £14million per year.

But prior to his move to Mercedes in 2022, he spent three seasons with Williams.

The Brit’s debut year in the sport – 2019 – saw him finish 20th in the drivers’ standings without a point.

And he has now opened up about the tiny base salary he was earning at that time.

Russell was discussing new regulations which mean offences such as crossing the track could now carry fines of up to €1million – a significant increase on the €50,000 punishment Lewis Hamilton received last season.

Speaking as the chairman of the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association, Russell said: “I think it’s pretty ridiculous that a driver could be fined €1m.

“In my first year of F1, I was on a five-figure salary and actually lost over six figures in that first year from paying for my trainer, paying for flights, paying for an assistant.

“And that’s probably the case for 25 per cent of the grid.

“We’re doing what we love, so we’re not complaining about that.

“But if you take a year one driver who probably by the end of the year is losing over €100,000 because of the investments he has to make, you fine them a million, what’s going to happen?”

Williams were in a dire financial position in 2019, before Claire Williams sold the team to Dorilton Capital the following year.

Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto are their current drivers, but Carlos Sainz is leaving Ferrari to join Williams to complete their 2025 line-up.

Meanwhile, Russell sits seventh in the drivers’ championship, 12 points behind team-mate Hamilton.

He has one victory in 2024 and was stripped of another after his car was found to be underweight during a post-race inspection.

Next season, he will have a change of team-mates when Andrea Kimi Antonelli, 18, replaces Hamilton as the seven-time champion joins Ferrari.
