The TV presenter took to Instagram to announce her pairing for the exciting season ahead.

Michaela initially joked that she would be dancing with Sir Steve Redgrave before revealing that her partner would be pro dancer Mark Hanretty.

She shared a collection of pictures on Instagram, starting with one on the ice with Steve, accompanied by text that read: “So who did I get as my Dancing On Ice Pro? Sir Steve Redgrave?

“Noooo, Swipe right.”

The second image showed her on the ice with Mark, featuring text that read: “The utterly fabulous Mark Hanretty.”

The third image was a cheerful selfie of the pair grinning from ear to ear, with text that read: “This is going to be a ‘really wild’ adventure.”

Michaela captioned the Instagram post: “If my 1st training session with him is anything to go by, this is going to be a fun and fab journey & I am so ready for the ride. Or should that be slide!”

A supportive and excited Mark commented: “I can’t compete with legendary Steve’s resume. But I do know a thing or two about skating and can’t wait to share this super fun experience on the ice with you!

“Here’s to the best of memory making fun over the next few months!”

Mark previously reached the final of Dancing on Ice with partners including broadcaster Adele Roberts, Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt and and Paralympian Libby Clegg.

Several fans took to the comments to share their excitement with one writing: “You hit the jackpot!!!”

Another added: “Amazing! Cant wait to see.”

And a third penned: “Congratulations and so happy for you both. You’re in very safe hands.”

Another pairing that has been announced is Chris Taylor and Vanessa Bauer.

The new series of the ITV skating show will kick off in January with a host of famous faces.

Back in October 2024, it was announced that Michaela would be taking part in Dancing On Ice 2025.

She said: “I was considered for the show 14 years ago – I’ve been considered for it twice – but this year they’ve asked me to do it, and I said yes.”

Before her many roles on national television, Michaela performed in theatre.

She launched her TV career in the 80s, and has remained in the spotlight ever since.

These days Michaela is best known for being one of the hosts of BBC shows Springwatch

and Winterwatch.

She presents the show alongside Chris Packham, her former Really Wild Show co-star.

They also hosted Autumnwatch until 2023, before the much-loved BBC show was axed.

Haunting moment obsessed teen killer lures ex, 15, into alleyway before knifing her 36 times – as he’s jailed

THIS is the haunting moment a twisted teen killer lured his 15-year-old ex-girlfriend into an alleyway before stabbing her 36 times.

Logan MacPhail, then aged 16, was captured in chilling CCTV stalking Holly Newton for 45 minutes after she broke up with him.

He was seen chatting with the schoolgirl in a bus stop after she reluctantly agreed to hear him out.

Footage released by police today shows Holly looking hesitant as MacPhail wanders into an alley.

She then pauses for a moment before following the teen in – unaware he was hiding a knife.

Just seconds later, MacPhail, now aged 17, stabbed her “many, many times”.

The killer has now been jailed for at least 15 years and 89 days after he was previously convicted of murder.

Sentencing, Mr Justice Hilliard said MacPhail was “filled with resentment and jealousy” and lured Holly to the alley to “attack her out of sight”.

He last month ruled the teen could be named despite his age – meaning details of his and Holly’s “toxic” relationship could be revealed for the first time.

The pair met three years before the brutal killing when they both attended Army Cadets in Consett, County Durham.

They embarked on a relationship but would regularly argue and broke up on a number of occasions.

MacPhail was a troubled teen who suffered with educational needs and autism that required him to attend a specialist school.

On January 21 last year – six days before the murder – Holly ended things for the final time.

Prosecutor David Brooke KC told Newcastle Crown Court: “Logan MacPhail was struggling to come to terms with the break-up.

“It is clear he was very unhappy about it.”

Consumed by his obsession with Holly, the teen tried to “trick” her into meeting him and pestered her friends.

The court was told Holly’s mum Micala Trussler had become so concerned that she alerted her daughter’s school.

After MacPhail showed up uninvited at their home in Haltwhistle, she then arranged a meeting with police on the day of Holly’s murder.

But Holly “begged” her mum to let her go into town after school rather than come home to see the police for a planned 4pm chat.

It was rescheduled for later that evening but tragically Holly was murdered before she could make it home.

On January 27, the teen messaged a friend, saying: “Apparently (MacPhail) is gonna meet to me outside of school.

“So he’s basically stalking me at this point. He’s gonna follow me until I talk to him”.

CCTV captured MacPhail on a bus with his face exposed before later putting on a snood to avoid detection.

He was then filmed following Holly for 45 minutes – making sure he was “careful not to be seen”.

As Holly and her friends walked past a cafe, hooded MacPhail was in hot pursuit.

He was also captured ducking and diving in a Tesco car park as he continued his stalking campaign.

MacPhail then stared at his ex while waiting outside a pizza restaurant that she had entered with a friend.

Holly's devastated mum pays tribute

Holly’s grieving mum said she was unable to hug or kiss her daughter after the attack as her body became “evidence” and a “crime scene”.

Micala Trussler said she had kissed all four of her children as they left for school that morning but added: “One of them never came home.

“I received a telephone call from a stranger telling me my daughter had been stabbed. Those words play on repeat in my head.”

Ms Trussler said she “raced” to the scene in her car and was imagining the “worst things” as she travelled to reach her daughter.

She added: “I never imagined how horrific the scene would be. It was far worse than the worst case scenario.

“The enormity and severity cannot be put into words.”

Ms Trussler said: “I was stopped from seeing my daughter in the alleyway and in the ambulance due to the horrifying condition she was in.

“The last time I saw my daughter was that morning, I never saw her with her eyes open again. I never heard her last words.

“My daughter died not knowing her mam was by her side.

“My daughter’s last moments were taken away from her, brutally, painfully and without her loving family.

“Once at hospital I was unable to even touch my daughter or hug her, kiss her or hold her hand.

“My daughter was a crime scene, she was evidence.”

Ms Trussler said Macphail had been welcomed into her home, as her daughter’s first ever boyfriend and he was always “mild mannered and polite” and they seemed happy together.

But she said MacPhail’s visit to her home the night before the murder, when he was refused access, has left her chilled with thoughts of what could have happened to the family if he had got in.

Ms Trussler said she is unhappy that people under 16 cannot be formally recognised as victims of domestic abuse and hopes that is something that can change.

She added: “I fully believe if he couldn’t have Holly then no-one else could.

“He became obsessed with her.”

Ms Trussler said she is “chilled to the core” at the footage and the idea of him following Holly around before he carried out the killing and branded his attempts to evade justice as “farcical”.

She added: “I love my child so much, my heart aches without her.”

Ms Trussler said she does not want any other family to suffer the trauma hers has and she has started raising money for bleed boxes.

She added that her daughter may have had access to support if young people were recognised as domestic abuse victims and said: “Holly’s case is labeled as knife crime but I want people to know the truth.

“Teenagers should be taught about healthy relationships in schools and domestic abuse services offered at a younger age.

“Maybe then she would have recognised red flags.

“Things have got to change.”

Ms Trussler said Holly should have been doing her GCSEs and preparing for prom then going on to perhaps marry and have children of her own.

She added: “It’s more than one life lost that night, our hearts also stopped.”

Moments later, he approached Holly at a bus stop who was unaware MacPhail had brought a kitchen knife from home with him.

Staff at the pizza restaurant heard Holly screaming and rushed out to find him attacking her.

They managed to “forcibly” remove MacPhail, who claimed the schoolgirl had been “horrible” or “awful” to him.

He then added: “Oh what have I done?”

Holly was taken to hospital after suffering 36 injuries – including 12 stab wounds and 19 slash injuries – in less than a minute.

MacPhail stabbed the teen so savagely he broke the knife, with Holly also suffering injuries as she desperately tried to defend herself.

Tragically she couldn’t be saved and was declared dead shortly after the horror.

In chilling bodycam footage, MacPhail told police as he was arrested: “She was being too horrible to me.

“I was meant to kill myself but it went too far.”

MacPhail previously admitted manslaughter but denied murder on the basis his mind “went blank” during the attack.

He also pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent and an alternative charge of wounding after one of Holly’s male friends was injured while trying to help her.

Stalking is still a form of domestic abuse - here's how to get help

By Sophie Francis-Cansfield, Head of Policy at Women’s Aid

“While domestic abuse can be associated with adult relationships, it is a prevalent issue in the romantic relationships of young people too. Data from the Office of National Statistics last year, found that a shocking 1 in 4 girls will have experienced domestic abuse before they are 16 years old.

“Many forms of abuse, such as stalking or controlling behaviour, will be experienced without the young person even knowing. Sharing locations, constantly checking in, and other red flags can often be romanticised, with younger people thinking they are a sign of trust or care instead of signs of abuse.

“It is important that we talk to young people about domestic abuse, so they are aware of the warning signs, can understand what is not acceptable in a relationship, and know what support options are available to them if they are in an unhealthy relationship or experiencing abuse.

“If you’re a young person and think you may have experienced abuse or something doesn’t feel right in your relationship, know that you are not alone.

“Women’s Aid is here to listen and to support you without judgment. Our LoveRespect is also a website specifically designed for 14-25-year-olds to learn about healthy relationships and explore support options.”

During his evidence, MacPhail claimed was not an entirely bad person as he “helps baby birds and stuff”.

But jurors saw through his lies and he was convicted of murder and wounding with intent.

Following the verdict, Micala described how her “beautiful child” loved sport, animals and dancing.

She added: “As my first born she was a clingy child and never left my side, we did everything together.

“She grew into a funny and happy teenager who would do anything for anyone.

“Holly was passionate about her family; she hated upsetting people and would do anything to make people smile.

“She loved animals, her cat Maxi every morning would go to her bedroom door and meow until Holly got up to let him onto her bed, to this day Maxi still does this however Holly isn’t there to open the door.”

Gardener says you need to prune your rose bushes now if you want them ‘full of flowers’ next year

AVID gardeners are being warned to look after their rose bushes this weekend to make sure they last.

Typically rose bushes are hardy plants – but they still need a little love before winter draws in.

Gardening pros reveal you need to prune your rose bush now[/caption]

And William Mitchell from Sutton Manor Nursery has said if you don’t it could leave them battered.

If gardeners want their roses to make it through winter, William says you need to follow one job he’s labelled as “essential.”

The plant expert said you had to prune back shrub roses to “guarantee a luscious, bloom-filled plant full of flowers returning the next year” and ensure their survival.

To keep them tidy and healthy you’ll need to remove old blooms or any leaves stricken with disease, coupled with a good pruning session.

William highlighted: “By the time the autumn months come around both shrub and bush roses will most likely have grown very tall.”

With autumn meaning weather conditions drastically change, the gardening pro said it’s imperative to trim long stems “back by a third to a half” of their original height “immediately”.

When you’re pruning, aim for an open-centred structure which promotes better air circulation for the plant.

The best technique is to snip the rose stems just above a bud facing outwards, whenever possible.

William added: “The conditions that can hugely damage these uncut long stems are wintery windy weather.

“Windy weather can cause considerable damage as the stems are constantly battered by strong winds and could even end up with the plant becoming loose in the soil.”

It’s also vital to prune the heads of roses he says as their rounded tops can act like sails, catching the wind and snapping off.

Through the rest of the month you should keep an eye on the roses and trim away any damp heads to prevent rotting.

You should also make sure you remove and dispose of any remaining leaves that exhibit signs of sickness, such as mildew or black spot as these can cause diseases year after year.

Gardening experts have also revealed that there are other jobs to get on with before winter settles in.

November gardening jobs

The Sun’s Gardening Editor, Veronica Lorraine, shares the tasks to do this month.

Get your garlic in a sunny spot of ground, and you can also plant sweet peas and cut and come again lettuce to see you over the Winter.

Depending on where you live – think about protecting your more tender plants – one brutal frost can set you back psychologically and financially. I’ve had success with plastic cloches which can look nice on smaller plants rather than the bulky fleece. But for plants like bananas, cut them back and wrap them up.

If all the leaves are off your apple tree, you could consider cutting it back. The usual dead, diseased, damaged and crossing branches should be pruned. It will open the tree up and encourage strong Spring growth.

You can either prune your roses the usual way, by cutting off side stems and tying in – or experiment like Niff Barnes – and create incredible sculptures by stripping all the leaves and bending the main framework into swirls and shapes. Its also a good time to take cuttings.

Hellebores are great winter cover – get them in the ground now – along with bright cyclamen for splashes of colour.

Clean your greenhouse – wipe down all the panes – fairy liquid and water is absolutely fine  – and work up a sweat by giving it a good tidy and sort out before it’s too cold to be out there too long.

Sounds simple but rake your lawn regularly  – you don’t want the grass to die back under mounds of old rotting leaves. Keep the leaves to make leaf mould.

Your lawn may be looking a bit worse for wear after the hot summer months, so now is the perfect time to look into the health of your soil.

To inspect your soil, you must first clear the area of any weeds or debris.

Then, add in some organic matter to help improve the soil structure and fertility.

Leonardo and Domenico, added: “Not many people realise this is such a key step, but we always recommend testing soil pH and making any adjustments to ensure it’s within the ideal range for grass growth.

“Grass needs nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in order to grow well. If the soil pH is too acidic or too alkaline, it can block these nutrients from being absorbed by the grass roots, resulting in poor growth and a patchy lawn.

“Note that the ideal range is typically somewhere between 6.0 and 7.5. If your soil pH is too low it’s a good idea to add lime or wood ash to raise it. If you run the tests and if it’s too high, add organic materials such as sulphur or aluminium sulphate.”

Although it may seem like an ordinary image, this is no easy feat, and the average person gives up after one minute.

How can optical illusions and brainteasers help me?

Engaging in activities like solving optical illusions and brainteasers can have many cognitive benefits as it can stimulate various brain regions.

Some benefits include:

  • Cognitive stimulation: Engaging in these activities challenges the brain, promoting mental agility and flexibility.
  • Problem-solving skills: Regular practice enhances analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Memory improvement: These challenges often require memory recall and can contribute to better memory function.
  • Creativity: They encourage thinking outside the box, fostering creativity and innovative thought processes.

Psychologists at The University of Glasgow found that staring at an optical illusion can improve eyesight by allowing you to see small print.

Escape London says puzzles can also give your mind a great workout and may “boost your brain’s activity” which “reduces the risk of dementia.”

And according to ZenBusiness: “These visual puzzles can give you a good mental workout that can, in turn, help you think more efficiently and solve problems more easily.”

James Argent raking in eye watering five figure sum every WEEK four years after having ‘zero cash in the bank’

POPULAR telly star James Argent continues to rebuild his shattered finances and he raked in around £5,000 a week last year.

The former Towie star – who was dumped by Gemma Collins in July 2020 – spent 12 months in and out of rehab for drug addiction and was virtually penniless.

The star is now also loved up with a new romance

But documents filed to Companies House this week show James Argent Ltd is prospering, with annual books showing Arg’s firm is now worth £161,081 in cash and assets.

A creditor’s bill to be paid in a year of £47,000 is likely his Corporation Tax demand and points to earnings of around £250,000 for the 12 months to January this year.

A second firm he runs called Arg Promotions Ltd has £151,650 in cash deposits.

And his love life is in the up as well, with the star seeing former Miss Sweden Nicoline Artursson, 31.

It’s the first time that James has been linked to a girl since his ex, Stella Turian.

Earlier this year, Arg revealed he was “lonely and struggling” after splitting from Stella.

It was revealed in November that James and his 19-year-old actress girlfriend had gone their separate ways after a year together.

Arg has confessed he found it hard to adjust to single life and particularly struggled on Valentine’s Day this year.

He told the My Dirty Laundry podcast: “I’m in a really good place. Everything in my life is perfect, apart from my love life.

“It would be nice if that would change. I’ll be completely honest, this year I really struggled on Valentine’s Day.”

But now his finances and romantic life are back on track.

It is all a far cry from 2020 when the firm had zero cash in the bank and made a loss of just under £24,000 as Arg’s earnings were hit by his personal problems and the coronavirus pandemic.

In May of that year, James, 36, said he had suffered two near-fatal overdoses at home and his door had to be kicked down for medics to save him.

He previously admitted his addiction problems often led to him missing work as they caused psychosis and paranoia and his cocaine binges put people off hiring him.

Later James promised he’d lose weight or die trying and has shared impressive transformation snaps after undergoing extensive training and a sleeve gastrectomy procedure.

He’s lost 14 stone in total bringing him back to a more slim figure, later getting skin removal surgery.

The reality star has had a well-publicised battle with his weight since finding fame on the ITVBe show.

In 2022, he was back on the box starring as a participant in The Real Dirty Dancing, and hosted Fame in the Family and he earns big money from social media tie-ins.

Barry Keoghan spotted for the first time on set of new Peaky Blinders film as star joins cast in Birmingham

THE PEAKY Blinders movie has a new recruit with Barry Keoghan being spotted on set for the first time.

The period drama, which ran on the BBC for six series, is returning for a feature-length catch up with the Birmingham gangsters.

Barry is joining the cast in a mysterious new role, but it appears his character has close ties with the Shelby operation.

With the tell-tale flat cap the gang is famed for hiding razor blades in, giving them their Peaky Blinders name, Barry looked like he fit right in with Tommy Shelby’s mobsters.

In scenes show on the streets of Bradford on Thursday, Barry kept a low profile as he shot a scene with Sophie Rundle, who plays Shelby sister Ada Thorne.

Ada took over the operation at the end of series six, after Tommy fled for a new life after being tricked into believing he was dying of a brain tumour.

Looking every inch the boss, Ada is seen striding in a cutting bright pink suit, with Barry’s character trailing behind her.

While Ada looked professional in the tailored bright look, Barry’s character by comparison looked unkempt, in a baggy three-pieced pinstripe suit, grey coat and red neckerchief.

Barry, who shot to fame thanks to roles including Oscar darling Banshees of Inisherin and Saltburn, is one of many famous faces joining the cast this year.

Stephen Graham has been confirmed to return to the show as the mysterious Hayden Stagg, as are devoted members of the gang Charlie Strong (Ned Dennehy), Johnny Dogs (Packy Lee), and Curly (Ian Peck).

Tim Roth and Rebecca Ferguson are also taking on secret roles in the series – with Cillian Murphy returning to the cast as Tommy Shelby.

Peaky Blinders left series six on the brink of World War II, with leading man Tommy literally blowing up the family mansion after believing he had been diagnosed with tuberculoma, a collection of tumours on his brain.

Saying goodbye to his family, the character returned to his gypsy roots and moved to die quietly in a caravan – until he discovered it was all a ruse by fascist political opponent Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin).

Based on a real person, Mosley was a close friend of Adolf Hitler as World War II began to set in, with the Nazi party leader best man at his wedding.

While Tommy decided to take this opportunity to start a new life, scenes have seen the character back on the streets of Birmingham where he belongs.

Tommy’s political ties as a member of parliament has seen him have run ins with several shady groups, notably the IRA, booze smugglers and gangsters in the States.

Speaking to Netflix on the announcement of the movie, which will be released on the streaming platform, Cillian said: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me…It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.”

I’m A Celeb camp invaded by poisonous TOADS days before stars arrive to film first trial

I’m A Celebrity’s Australian jungle camp has been invaded by poisonous toads – just days before this year’s stars arrive.

Traditionally airing at the end of each year, I’m A Celeb has become a much-loved ITV staple.

However, the familiar camp is under attack from poisonous cane toads.

If disturbed by a human, a cane toad could squirt toxin into the eyes – resulting in pain and disrupted vision.

Meanwhile, ingesting or swallowing the toxin could affect heart function, breathing and blood pressure.

The amphibians possess swellings on each shoulder, where poison is released when threatened.

A source told The Mirror: “As if there weren’t enough things for the campers to worry about like spiders, snakes and ticks, now it looks like they’ll have to keep an eye out for armies of these poisonous pests.

“They love ponds so the jungle creek and even the famous shower area will need to be monitored closely.”

It would mean rumoured names such as Coleen Rooney, Ally McCoist and Alan Halsall will be on high alert in camp.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed a key part of I’m A Celeb would be returning.

The popular spin-off show – which has gone by different names over the years – will be making a comeback.

It will now be known as I’m A Celebrity Unpacked, while this update confirmed The Sun’s exclusive story revealing its return.

2016 runner-up and The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett, 39, is set come back.

The popular star previously presented the show under its former name, Extra Camp.

Joining him will be 2023 King of the Jungle, Sam Thompson, as well as radio DJ Kemi Rodgers.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Joel said: “I feel like it’s the right time to bring it back.

I’m A Celeb’s rumoured line-up so far

I'M A Celeb is due to start airing on November 17, and speculation about the participants has been rife.

“There’s a thirst for it.”

Sam said: “I am not joking, it is the best show on TV.

“Being a part of it, then being on the other side, is a dream come true.”

I’m A Celebrity will be returning to ITV on November 17.
