In scenes yet to air, Billy is preparing to face newly returned Ross Barton (Michael Parr) again.

Mack (Lawrence Robb) recruits Aaron in case things go wrong, but John (Oliver Farnworth) arrives.

Warning them of the police‘s imminent arrival, the event is called to an abrupt halt.

Unable to locate the money, Deano punches Aaron as they flee from the police.

As a result, Aaron is left struggling for air as he collapses.

The storyline comes as bad boy Ross returns after almost six years away from the village.

Bosses confirmed Michael Parr’s return to the ITV soap earlier this year.

The character originally left in November 2018, alongside Rebecca White (Emily Head) and her son Sebastian.

Meanwhile, Ross made his first appearance in 2013 when he carjacked Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Thomas).

One of Ross’ final storylines saw him fall victim to an acid attack.

Speaking previously, Michael said: “I’m over the moon to be returning to Emmerdale

“Ross is a character I’m extremely fond of and I’m excited to explore what he’s been up to over the past five years.

“After seeing the scripts, I can’t wait for the audience to see what’s in store.

Aaron Dingle's biggest storylines

The character Aaron Dingle (formerly Livesy) made his Emmerdale debut all the way back in 2003. Current actor Danny Miller took on the role in 2008. Here are some of Aaron's biggest soap storylines over the years.

  • McFarlane family: After Aaron returns to the village in 2008, he is arrested by Ross Kirk (Samuel Anderson) for possession of drugs. His mother Chas‘ (Lucy Pargeter) family later learn he is a drug courier for the McFarlanes.
  • Coming to terms with his homosexuality: Initially, Aaron questioned and struggled to come to terms with his homosexuality. He ultimately confided in friend and guardian Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
  • Romantic advance towards Adam Barton: At one point, Aaron begins dating Holly Barton (Sophie Powles) and befriends her brother Adam (Adam Thomas). Aaron tries to kiss Adam after they are involved in a run-off road collision. Embarrassed, he tells Adam that he misunderstood the situation. Aaron sleeps with Holly, however, Adam informs his family that he thinks Aaron is gay. Aaron denies it but Holly ends the relationship.
  • Child sexual abuse: In 2015, it was revealed Aaron had been sexually abused by his father Gordon (Gary Mavers) when he was  from the age of 8 before Gordon kicked him out. Ultimately, Gordon was imprisoned years later – but took his own life while in prison.
  • Relationship with Jackson Walsh: Aaron and Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock) started dating after a tumultuous start to knowing each other. Their story ultimately ended in heartbreak, as Jackson died by assisted suicide.
  • Suicide attempt: A harrowing storyline from 2010 saw a then-teenage Aaron attempt to take his own life.
  • Relationship with Robert Sugden: Aaron and long-standing character Robert Sugden were romantically linked following the latter’s return in 2014. Nicknamed “Robron“, the pair married in 2018, however, Robert exited the soap in 2019.

“One thing I can say is Ross’s return will no doubt create fireworks.”

Producer Laura Shaw, added: “We are delighted to have Michael back at Team Emmerdale, playing the unforgettable and charismatic bad boy Ross Barton once again.

“Ross makes a huge impact from the first moment he arrives back on screen, immediately throwing some of our villagers’ lives into disarray.

“Chaotic, wild and reckless, Ross is absolutely going to shake up the village and prove it’s never quiet with a Barton boy back in town.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Bianca Jackson in terrifying showdown with killer Reiss Colwell as new evidence emerges in EastEnders

She was the main suspect as Sonia was the last person on record who visited the comatose woman before her death.

Sonia was also responsible for fluffing up the murder weapon – Debbie’s pillow – meaning her fingerprints were all over it.

As the pregnant woman awaits sentencing from jail, her sister Bianca has been desperate to prove that Reiss was the real killer.

In upcoming episodes the net will start closing in on Reiss as Teddy reveals that he has access to CCTV footage of the entrance to the care home from the day Debbie was suffocated.

After hearing the news Bianca is desperate to get proof that her sister was not the person who was with Debbie at her time of death.

However, Reiss is equally determined not to get caught, and manages to sneak away with the flash drive.

When Bianca finds out she storms over to Reiss’s house and bangs on his door, demanding he come out and release the videos.

He locks himself inside his home in terror, but she eventually tracks him down when he ventures out to a café.

While she doesn’t get any satisfactory answers from him, Bianca is delighted when she finds out Teddy has another copy of the footage, and decides to give it to her.

The situation comes to a head on Bonfire Night when Reiss and Bianca have an explosive showdown at his flat.

Will Bianca finally be able to prove once and for all that her sister is innocent?

Or will Reiss strike and kill again to keep his secret safe?
