Out-of-work ex-Dortmund boss with Premier League experience shoots to top of Man Utd wishlist after Ten Hag sacking

EDIN TERZIC has rocketed to the top of Manchester United’s wishlist as they target replacements for sacked Erik Ten Hag.

The Dutchman was axed with the club languishing in 14th following a shocking 2-1 defeat at West Ham – with the club also winless in their three Europa League matches.

Ten Hag was under serious pressure in the summer after guiding United to a worst-ever Premier League finish of eighth.

However, United‘s FA Cup victory – combined with a lack of obvious options to replace him – saw Ten Hag handed an improved contract.

The club reportedly scouted out options, but decided to give Ten Hag time to build on his success.

But after a miserable start to the season, the ex-Ajax chief lasted just nine Premier League games – with the club releasing a blunt 87-word statement.

Thomas Tuchel had been top of the the shortlist to replace Ten Hag.

But the former Dortmund, PSG, Bayern Munich and Chelsea manager is no longer available after the FA swooped to name him England manager.

Gareth Southgate was also a favoured candidate, but he recently suggested he didn’t want to rush back into management and could take a full year off.

So United are now focusing on Edin Terzic – after SunSport exclusively revealed he was a new favourite earlier this month.

The German is out of work after leaving Borussia Dortmund over the summer despite taking them into the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

United’s board believe he has the pedigree to guide the club back towards success.

And he also has Premier League experience having worked alongside Slaven Bilic in the past.

Terzic has previously been linked with AC Milan and West Ham.

But he’s believed to be holding out for United.

And sources close to Terzic he’d welcome the challenge of helping to rebuild the club.

Man Utd ratings vs West Ham

THE LONDON STADIUM was the venue for the latest defeat in a shocker of a season.

To be fair, it was a hugely controversial VAR call in the dying moments that handed West Ham a 2-1 win.

And the first half from the Red Devils was impressive.

Here’s how SunSport’s Jack Rosser rated the players…

Andre Onana – 6
Very loose with the ball at his feet early on but soon settled.

Manchester United conceded from West Ham’s first shot on target, though given Ings’ deflected strike there was little Onana could have done about it.

Diogo Dalot – 5
Delivered one of the most entertaining missed chances you will see all season – doing so well to clip the ball past Lukasz Fabianski before smashing the ball high and wide of an open goal.

Despite that, had little trouble from those in claret and blue attacking down his side until Summerville was introduced. The former Leeds man tested Dalot a number of times with his pace.

Redeemed himself a touch with the header back in ahead of Casemiro’s equaliser.

Matthijs de Ligt – 6
Hard done by in conceding the penalty for what looked a soft challenge on Hammers striker Ings.

Restricted West Ham well for the most part but United never looked entirely comfortable at the back and a more potent attack could have caused much more trouble.

Lisandro Martinez – 6
Struggled at times to deal with the strength and direct nature of Michail Antonio, who tested all across United’s back line well until he was replaced by Ings.

Noussair Mazraoui – 5
Struggled to keep a handle on both Bowen and former Manchester United man Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the most part and was thrown around by Michail Antonio at times.

Having looked soft at the back he also offered very little going forwards down the left.

Casemiro – 6
Started strongly dominating in the middle but struggled to wrestle that back when West Ham picked up.

Was denied a first half goal by Fabianski’s superb save but got one eventually as he refused to give up and made sure the ball.

Christian Eriksen – 5
Some flashes of creativity in the first half but could not help United keep control in the second after West Ham perked up.

Marcus Rashford – 4
Entirely absent throughout the hour he was on the pitch. Played down the right he was easily managed by Emerson Palmieri who had little of note to do before the winger went off.

Bruno Fernandes – 7
Caused huge problems for West Ham and created plenty of chances which his teammates put to waste.

Fernandes made a fine run to meet a Casemiro cross but headed over the bar and had to watch both Garnacho and Dalot pass up huge chances after his good work to set them up – especially the latter, a wonderful looped ball to cut out the entire West Ham defence.

Alejandro Garnacho – 5
The young winger should have had two goals inside the opening eight minutes. One chance was rattled against the bar before a poor finish sent the second wide of the far post.

He continued to cause trouble down the left but faded as the game went on and crucially gave the ball away in the build-up to Summerville’s goal.

Rasmus Hojlund – 5
Drew a couple of saves from Hammers keeper Fabianski but neither looked too difficult.

The Dane was rather comfortably dealt with by West Ham’s central defenders and never looked too much of a threat.

Substitutes
Amad Diallo – 6
Added some life and threat to a forward line which had offered little after the break and lifted a clever ball over to Dalot in the build-up to Casemiro’s goal.

Joshua Zirkzee – 5
Claimed an assist but did not know a lot about it and struggled to have an impact from there on.

Victor Lindelof – n/a

Unused subs: Altay Bayindir, Manuel Ugarte, Jonny Evans, Ethan Wheatley, Harry Amass, Jack Fletcher.

New Netflix upgrade will save you hours of shuffling with new viewing experience – and it’s totally free

A NEW Netflix feature will save you hours of shuffling, fast-forwarding and rewinding for your favourite moments in TV shows or movies.

And it’s rolling out to iPhones and Android devices – for free – in the coming weeks.

The feature is only beginning to roll out to smartphones globally from today[/caption]

Netflix has introduced a new mobile app feature called Moments which can let viewers save and share their favourite scenes with friends.

But they can also act as bookmarks.

Once you save a Moment on your phone, the episode or film will play right from the scene you bookmarked.

How does it work?

A new Moments button will appear at the bottom of the screen when you're watching Netflix content.

Once your favourite scene is playing, or even if it’s just finished, tap the Moments button.

The scene will then automatically save to your My Netflix tab.

You can then head into that tab to rewatch all of your favourite moments and share them.

Or, you can share them on the spot with options to send to Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, iMessage and more.

You can even just copy the link to send it in an email, or share it on social media.

It can make watching the latest season of a long-running show less arduous.

This way, you can hop from highlight to highlight to catch up with the details before the latest season airs – instead of re-watching from start to finish.

The feature is only beginning to roll out to smartphones globally from today.

You will need to update your Netflix app in order to access it.

Moments is only in its first iteration.

Netflix hopes to build out the feature in the future, however, the streaming giant remained tight-lipped on what else it has in store.

Netflix arrivals this October

Here are some of the other films and shows to look out for this month on Netflix

  • Bridesmaids
  • Couples Retreat
  • Get Him to the Greek
  • Point Break

Coronation Street resident reveals horrific bruises from night Joel Deering was killed – as new suspect is revealed

A NEW suspect emerged as a Weatherfield resident was found badly bruised in Coronation Street.

With the police still struggling to crack the case as to who murdered Joel Deering (Calum Lill), tonight another piece of evidence was revealed to viewers as a dramatic flashback put DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) in the frame.

While DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has been heading up the murder investigation, Lisa refused to step away from the investigation.

Corrie viewers saw Lisa in tears when she was alone in the bathroom examining some intense bruising on her ribs and back, before a flashback showed her chasing someone through the precinct on the night of Joel’s death.

Is Lisa trying to cover her own tracks? Or was someone else responsible for killing Joel?

Upcoming scenes will see Lisa’s teenage daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) question her mum over the bruises.

When Betsy walks into the bathroom and sees Lisa’s bruises, she is not convinced about her excuse of doing it at a body combat class.

Later, the teen will find a bottle of painkillers dated September 28th.

When she tells Mason (Luca Toolan) about the discovery, the pair are left stunned when he says Joel was killed on the 27th.

Then Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) mentions Joel was in a fight on the night he was killed.

Betsy is left shaken as she begins to put two and two together and fears the worst.

After being confronted, Lisa lies to Betsy, making out her bruises were the result of an office injury.

As truths begin to unravel, Carla admits to Bobby (Jack Carroll) that on the night of Joel’s murder, she nipped to the factory.

But, she told the police she was at home all evening with him and Ryan (Ryan Prescott).

Is there more than meets the eye regarding Carla and Lisa’s recent connection?

Could the secret they are hiding run much deeper and darker than love?

Darkest soap storylines

Over the years the likes of EastEndersEmmerdale and Coronation Street have all tried to try outdo each other with their outlandish plots in a bid to keep us tuning in each week. But here are some of the darkest that had fans in shock…

  • EastEnders: Tony grooming Whitney (2008-2009) – Tony King first appeared in Albert Square in 2008 as the boyfriend of Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer. But it was quickly revealed he was a paedophile who had been grooming vulnerable Whitney, Bianca’s adopted stepdaughter from a previous relationship, since she was 12. The shocking storyline attracted more than 200 complaints within a week of it beginning. Whitney waited until her 16th birthday to reveal the truth to a horrified Bianca, who called the police.
  • Emmerdale: Holly’s drug addiction and shock death (2010-2016) – In 2010, Holly Barton (played by Sophie Powles) became Emmerdale’s first teenage drug addict. The shocking storyline saw her taking cocaine on a night out before developing a deadly heroin habit. Parents John and Moira desperately tried to help get their daughter clean but when Holly returned in 2016, following a four-year absence, she quickly relapsed. Fans were left stunned and heartbroken when distraught Moira found Holly dead in her bed from a heroin overdose.
  • Hollyoaks: Luke’s rape (2000) – Actor Gary Lucy was just 17 when he took on this groundbreaking storyline, which saw his character Luke Morgan become soap’s first male rape victim. Luke had endured a long-running bullying campaign by football rival Mark Gibbs – who raped him after Luke stood up to him. Luke was left suicidal following the brutal attack, before opening up to his brother Adam. Gibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison. Gary won the Best Actor gong at the British Soap Awards in 2000 for his performance.
  • Coronation Street: Evil Richard Hillman (2001-2003) – Just a mere mention of ‘Richard Hillman’ is enough to send a shiver down the spines of soap fans. He is often ranked one of the most evil soap villains and it’s not hard to see why. The smooth-talking financial adviser bashed his ex-wife Patricia over the head with a shovel. In a bid to keep his mother-in-law Audrey quiet, he set fire to her house. And when Maxine caught him trying to murder Emily Bishop, he took a crowbar to her head. He made his exit from the cobbles in 2003 when he drove Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and her family into the canal. They survived, but he didn’t.
  • Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV1 and ITVX.

Online marketplace OnBuy launched globally in summer 2020 but began its journey in 2016[/caption]

    What is OnBuy?

OnBuy is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce marketplaces in the world.

The company boasts a range of over 35million products while offering big savings for customers.

It prides itself on being a fair and transparent business that puts buyers and sellers first.

    When was OnBuy created?

The UK Dorset-based online shopping platform, OnBuy was launched by Cas Paton in November 2016.

Speaking about the founding OnBuy, Paton told the Retail Bulletin in July 2023: “I’ve been involved in web development since I was a teenager and started my first company while studying at university.

“Entrepreneurship has always been in my blood, and I set up my first business at the age of 21.

“I’ve had other ventures along the way, but in 2016 I founded OnBuy and decided to dedicate all my time, effort, and money into making it a success.

“It’s been quite a journey and recently OnBuy was recognised as “Europe’s fastest-growing ecommerce business” by the Financial Times.”

The company launched globally in the summer of 2020 after securing a £5million investment.

OnBuy’s founder and CEO Paton projected the thriving business to be turning over £2billion in sales by 2024.

Following a 1,100 per cent sales increase in 2019, OnBuy embarked on an aggressive international expansion plan into 140 new territories — including the US, Germany, France, Spain and the UAE.

To accommodate the company’s rapid growth, OnBuy tripled its workforce in 2020 to more than 50 full-time staff.

Paton said: “The injection of this additional funding not only allows us to substantially grow the operational side of the business, but it gives the OnBuy team backing from phenomenal investors who can bring an array of eCommerce experience and expertise to the table, bolstering an already strong globalisation strategy.

OnBuy does not yet have an app, but there are apps that can integrate with OnBuy

“2020 is a coming-of-age era for OnBuy, where we’ve seen some of the world’s largest brands and retailers come on board.

“By having products from the leading household names available, including Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Kimberly-Clark, we are driving better competition which feeds into better pricing for consumers across a huge variety of products.

“We are well on track to claim 3-5 per cent of the £84billion UK eCommerce market in the next three years, and we’re aiming for one per cent of the $3.46 trillion global e-commerce market, equating to $35bn, in the next five years.

“We’re gearing up for an enormous expansion into over 140 new countries, which will allow OnBuy to become the first global marketplace and further set ourselves apart from the competition.”

The tech firm, whose headquarters are based in Bournemouth said that they would begin its roll-out in the EU before extending into North America in 2025.

This comes after OnBuy secured a £2.5m strategic investment and partnership and Google Cloud partnership in October 2024.

    Is OnBuy a legitimate website?

OnBuy is a legitimate website, but there are a great many imposter sites claiming to help OnBuy customers.

These include OnBuy Pro, OnBuy Mall, OnBuy Store, OnBuy Price Tracker, OnBuy-UK, OnBuy.bz, OnBuy Shop, OnBuy APK, OnBuy-int, OnBuy VIP, OnBuy Global.

So make sure you are using OnBuy.com to avoid scammers.

    Is the OnBuy app safe?

Yes, the app is safe to use.

OnBuy sates: “All eligible items bought on OnBuy are automatically covered by OnBuy Protection for up to 180 days after purchase, no matter how you choose to pay.

“No catches. No hidden costs. Just our way of letting you know you’re in safe hands when you shop with us!”

What to do if you think you’ve been scammed

IF you’ve lost money in a scam, contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or by visiting Actionfraud.police.uk.

You should also contact your bank or credit card provider immediatley to see if they can stop or trace the cash.

If you don’t think your bank has managed your complaint correctly, or if you’re unhappy with the verdict it gives on your case you can complain to the free Financial Ombudsman Service.

Also monitor your credit report in the months following the fraud to ensure crooks don’t make further attempts to steal your cash.

Small UK train station with ‘secret garden’ and cosy cafe named the best in the country

MAGHULL Railway Station has been named the best in the country beating the likes of London Kings Cross, London Liverpool Street and Birmingham Grand Central to the top spot.

Located in a Liverpudlian suburb, Maghull Railway Station benefits from a free car park and other quaint features like a secret garden and a cosy cafe.

Groups of locals work hard to keep the station looking clean and tidy, even painting artwork on its walls[/caption]

Last week, train stations from across the UK were judged by the Rail Delivery Group in the World Cup of Stations.

Maghull Railway Station was awarded the top spot over other finalists King’s Lynn and Dorridge thanks to its free, and spacious, car park and bus exchange services.

However, it is the station’s presentation that is the most impressive, with colourful flower boxes dotted around its exterior.

The station is also home to a “secret garden” area that comes equipped with train-themed sculptures.

Both the flower boxes and the garden are lovingly cared for by a team of volunteers.

Several community groups, including the Maghull Volunteers, work hard throughout the year to keep the station looking tidy.

The group was founded by the late Nigel Winchester and Alan Pritchard around 20 years ago, Chairwoman Doreen Bird told the BBC.

Not only do the volunteers tend to flowers and plants, but they also collect litter from around the station in a bid to keep it looking spick and span.

Rail users are also impressed by the station, with local Maureen Webb, telling the BBC: “It’s clean, it’s well cared for by the staff and volunteers who do a wonderful job.

“If there was more people like that in the world we’d be much better off.”

The station is also decorated with artwork, with murals lining its walls and a stained-glass window in its waiting area.

The station’s community offering soared earlier this year when cafe, Coffee Carriage, opened on site.

Owned by local entrepreneurs Rory McLellan and Craig Reeves, the on-site coffee shop has become a hub for the community, hosting knitting groups, charity meet-ups, men’s mental health groups and a walking group.

Walking group member June Avery told the BBC: “It’s a really community feel, it’s bringing people together. You get off the train and it really lightens your mood.”

Plenty of direct services run from Maghull Railway Station too, with trains operating to Aintree, Liverpool Central and Ormskirk to name a few.

    OTHER TOP-NOTCH TRAIN STATIONS

Earlier this year, the UK’s busiest train station was named one of the best in Europe.

Luggage storage company Bounce, analysed Google review data to find out which train stations has the highest ratings, with London Liverpool Street being ranked the highest in the UK.

London Liverpool Street first opened in 1874, replacing Bishopsgate Station.

Nowadays, the London-based station is one of the most popular on social media, with hundreds of thousands of Instagram tags.

Dating back 150 years, the train station played a vital role during World War II.

It’s now set to undergo a £1.5billion renovation.

This includes a new 20-story tower with office and hotel spaces above a Grade-II listed building which used to be the Great Eastern Hotel.

heated rooftop swimming pool, cafe and garden would also be part of the plans, as well as £450million repairs across the station.

Sun Travel's favourite train journeys in the world

Sun Travel's journalists have taken their fare share of train journeys on their travels and here they share their most memorable rail experiences.

    Davos to Geneva, Switzerland

“After a ski holiday in Davos, I took the scenic train back to Geneva Airport. The snow-covered mountains and tiny alpine villages that we passed were so beautiful that it felt like a moving picture was playing beyond the glass.” – Caroline McGuire

    Tokyo to Kyoto by Shinkansen

“Nothing quite beats the Shinkansen bullet train, one of the fastest in the world. It hardly feels like you’re whizzing along at speed until you look outside and see the trees a green blur. Make sure to book seat D or E too – as you’ll have the best view of Mount Fuji along the way.” Kara Godfrey

    London to Paris by Eurostar

“Those who have never travelled on the Eurostar may wonder what’s so special about a seemingly ordinary train that takes you across the channel. You won’t have to waste a moment and can tick off all the top attractions from the Louvre to the Champs-Élysées which are both less than five kilometres from the Gare du Nord.” – Sophie Swietochowski

Glasgow to Fort William by Scotrail

“From mountain landscapes and serene lochs to the wistful moors, I spent my three-hour journey from Glasgow to Fort William gazing out the window. Sit on the left-hand side of the train for the best views overlooking Loch Lomond.” – Hope Brotherton

    Beijing to Ulaanbatar

“The Trans-Mongolian Express is truly a train journey like no other. It starts amid the chaos of central Beijing before the city’s high-rises give way to crumbling ancient villages and eventually the vast vacant plains of Mongolia, via the Gobi desert. The deep orange sunset seen in the middle of the desert is among the best I’ve witnessed anywhere.” – Ryan Gray

Meanwhile, the world’s most beautiful train station is just one hour from the UK, and it is like “travelling back in time to golden age of rail”.

And a derelict train station dating back to 1881 could be transformed into a holiday park.

Unanswered questions remain as body of rock guitarist’s wife found days after she smiled on way to ‘dangerous’ forest

MYSTERY surrounds the death of a rock guitarist’s wife found days after she was seen smiling on her way to a ‘dangerous’ forest.

Joanne Jones was spotted on what is thought to be dashcam footage waving at a passing car near her home in Llanwonno, South Wales.

Authorities and volunteers conducted searches in St Gwynno Forest, where Joanne went missing[/caption] a map showing the location of the desperate search

The 49-year-old – understood to be married to Sister Morphine member Nick Jones – was heading towards St Gwynno Forest when she vanished on October 21.

A huge search was launched involving helicopters, police dogs, drones and mountain rescue experts.

Volunteers also gathered at a local rugby club on Friday before being briefed in order to help with the search efforts.

Joanne’s body was then found on Saturday – six days after she was first reported missing.

    Formal identification took place yesterday.

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Hampton said: “I can also confirm that we are not treating Joanne’s death as suspicious.”

However, there are still plenty of unanswered questions.

    WHERE WAS SHE GOING?

Joanne was dressed in a waterproof jacket, boots and with a rucksack – and it’s understood she was often seen walking in the area.

The forest is a 2,644-acre area of rugged terrain, home to a handful of sheep farms, and popular for cyclists and hikers.

However, whether she was familiar with the forest itself and its potentially treacherous ground, and if this was a regular activity, is unclear.

    WHY WAS SHE WAVING?

Police released a grab from what is thought to be a car dashcam, showing Joanne smiling and waving, as part of their appeal to help trace her.

Cops previously released several images, including on Graigwen Road, at around 10.05am on the day of her disappearance.

Police also said she was spotted near the Brynfynnon Hotel at around 12.45pm.

It is not known if she knew the person in the car she waved at.

    WHAT WAS IN HER RUCKSACK?

Considering Joanne was clearly dressed for walking, it could assumed her rucksack was filled with supplies.

However, seeing as her intentions that day and where she was actually heading have not been confirmed, it is not clear what she had in her bag.

Police have not said if anything significant was found as part of the case.

WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG TO FIND HER?

Police confirmed yesterday they are not treating Joanne’s death as suspicious.

However, have given very little detail otherwise about what happened to her.

It is not clear where exactly she was found.

St Gwynno Forest is a vast area, though is used regularly by walkers and includes trails.

But without clarification, it is not yet known why it took six days to find her.

Labour MP Mike Amesbury was ‘wound up’ by ‘personal attacks’ before he PUNCHED constituent in late-night brawl

LABOUR MP Mike Amesbury was the target of a lengthy wind-up and personal attack before he punched a constituent, a friend claims.

He has since been suspended and quizzed by police, as pressure grows for him to stand down – and he’s been warned he faces prison.

Sir Keir Starmer said the incident was “shocking” and defended Labour’s decision.

Tory leadership hopeful Robert Jenrick said today Amesbury should not be an MP following the brawl.

The incident occurred in Frodsham, Cheshire, within his own Runcorn and Helsby constituency.

Hours before the fight, Amesbury posed for snaps with the local police commissioner.

The MP said he was “listening to residents’ concerns and ideas for policing and community safety”.

Amesbury released a statement prior to the damning CCTV evidence emerging saying he had “felt threatened” during the 2.15am altercation.

However, pal and former Labour adviser Matthew Torbitt claims the former member of Sir Keir Starmer’s Shadow Cabinet was subjected to a “lengthy wind up”.

He said Amesbury had also suffered “personal attacks” before throwing the drunken punch.

Mr Torbitt told GB News: “I cannot put into words how out of character this is… he’s gentle, he’s very kind, he’s very laid back…

“I won’t divulge private conversations, from what I can gather from other people there was a sustained wind up, a personal attack that evening by said individual in the videos.

“However, no one can make any excuse for the reaction it has provoked.”

Mr Torbitt went on to say people in such a position “can’t go around doing things like that no matter how wound up you are”.

“He’s probably ruined his life in one semi-drunken decision,” he added.

Nigel Farage-fronted Reform UK, who came second in Amesbury’s Runcorn seat, have urged the Labour politician to trigger a by-election immediately rather than leave constituents in limbo while a police probe drags on.

Initial mobile phone video showed the MP shouting “you’ll never threaten me again” as the man lay on the ground next to a taxi rank.

When someone in the background points out Amesbury is the local MP, he says: “Yes I am. You won’t threaten the MP ever again, will you?”

However, CCTV footage then emerged showing him seemingly throwing the first punch.

He appears in animated fashion before letting loose the strike to the man’s head.

The MP then continues to swing up to six more strikes at the man while he’s sat on the floor – though it’s unclear how many connect.

Confirming his suspension, a Labour spokesperson said yesterday: “Mike Amesbury MP has been assisting Cheshire Police with their inquiries following an incident on Friday night.

“As these inquiries are now ongoing, the Labour Party has administratively suspended Mr Amesbury’s membership of the Labour Party pending an investigation.”

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “A 55-year-old man has been voluntarily interviewed under caution by police in relation to this incident. He has since been released pending further enquiries.”

    STALKING

Last year, a 56-year-old man was convicted of stalking and harassing Mr Amesbury in his constituency office in a shopping centre in Frodsham in 2022.

Warrington magistrates’ court was told that Stephen Cowell had stared through the office glass, asked guards about the level of security guards and cameras present and followed him to his car, reports The Times.

Mr Amesbury said prior to the release of the punch CCTV: “Last night, I was involved in an incident that took place after I felt threatened on the street following an evening out with friends.

“This morning, I contacted Cheshire Police myself to report what happened during this incident.

“I will not be making further public comment but will, of course, cooperate with any inquiries if required by Cheshire Police.

“I remain fully committed to working hard for the people of Runcorn and Helsby, and am determined to remain an open and accessible MP for our community.”

The ‘hidden gem’ drama being compared to Breaking Bad you need to watch now

BREAKING Bad is considered among the greatest TV series of all time but fans believe they have found a show just as good.

Breaking Bad followed cancer-addled Walter White’s transformation from nerdy science teacher to ‘Heisenberg’ – a crystal meth cook with a booming drug empire.

The original series of Breaking Bad, which finished in 2013, collectively won 92 awards and was nominated for 248 – landing it in the Guinness World Records books as the most critically acclaimed show.

Viewers absolutely adored it and have been searching for something just as great to enjoy since its final series aired.

Fans believe they have found the answer in an Australian TV show with a 95% Rotten Tomatoes score to fill the gap.

Mixing crime with comedy, Mr Inbetween first aired in 2021 and now has three seasons.

It follows co-creator Scott Ryan’s character, Ray Shoesmith, as he juggles the complexities of being a father to a young daughter at the same time as being a ruthless hitman.

Ray, who is portrayed as loveable rogue is also exploring a new romance and caring for his sickly older brother.

You can’t help but laugh when Ray declares he will kill a man, but he won’t kill a Huntsman Spider because “you gotta draw the line somewhere.”

Each season is full of stories that are twisty, gripping and engaging and it’s enough to have won over the hearts of viewers.

One said he was completely in love with the show declaring: “because it is sad, gut-wrenching, funny, relatable’ while being ‘short and bittersweet”

They added: “Each episode is so perfect on their own, small glimpse into the life of Ray Shoesmith, incredibly well paced, to the point and very grounded and human”

Many users agreed and wished that more people knew about the programme. They were sure viewers would love it as much as them.

One wrote: “Mr Inbetween is criminally underrated and definitely a gem”

Another said they love how it is written and directed and added “Like real life but with the boring parts cut off.

“All characters talk and behave so realistic, not grotesque like in most movies and shows. Just like real life but only the interesting moments”
