Strictly’s Shirley Ballas lands HUGE Hollywood deal alongside A-list stars – sparking rumours she’ll QUIT BBC show

SHIRLEY Ballas appears to be heading to Hollywood after bagging a major new role.

The Strictly Come Dancing head judge will be working alongside her son Mark Ballas, a professional on Dancing With The Stars, for a major new ballroom-inspired movie.

It will no doubt spark rumours that Shirley could be re-considering her Strictly future[/caption]

A brand new rom-com titled The Light Fantastic has been confirmed to be filmed in the heart of ballroom in Blackpool and Shirley and her son will be leading the choreography for the flick.

The mother-and-son duo will be creating all the routines for the film which has already got some A-list names attached to it, including a former star of the Strictly dancefloor.

Layton Williams will be among the cast of the movie alongside acting icon Rupert Everitt, Misfits and Culprits star Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and War Horse actor Jeremy Irvine.

A teaser for the upcoming film confirms that Jeremy will be taking on the lead role of Jason, a gay firefighter with aspirations of being an acclaimed ballroom champ.

Having decided to learn how to dance in Blackpool, Jason will manage the traditions of ballroom dancing under the watchful eye of his instructor, Reynolds, played by Rupert.

The news of Shirley’s new role could spark fears that she could be preparing to quit the BBC dancing contest.

With filming on the movie set to commence in early 2025, it is believed that Shirley and her son are already hard at work crafting the routines for the film.

Shirley first joined the dancing show to replace Len Goodman in 2016 and has been the head judge on the show ever since.

Her son Mark made a name for himself stateside as one of the pro dancers on the US equivalent of the show, Dancing With The Stars.

Mark’s most famous celeb partner was Kim Kardashian when she signed up for the show in 2008 in her early years of fame.

The then-budding reality star was voted off after just three dances with Mark.

Kim was Mark’s least successful partner in his 20 series on the programme.

Mark has won the show three times overall – with TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, gymnast Shawn Johnson and figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched today (October 25th) and EE is celebrating with some pretty stellar gaming bundles.

Best of all, you can spread the cost of a new console over 24 months and snag savings of up to £559.

For those not already hyped, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 dives into the political turmoil of the early 90s, with spy-thriller intensity fans love.
