When is Black Friday 2024?

The sale frenzy officially kicks off on November 29, 2024, but like many other retailers, Currys often starts the action early.

The biggest bargains are usually saved for the main event, so it pays to be ready.

We recommend preparing your wishlist and when the sales hit, be ready to snap up the best Black Friday deals.

Curious about where the name ‘Black Friday’ comes from? Head over to our explainer for all the details.

Is Currys taking part in Black Friday this year?

Yes, the tech giant will be part of the 2024 Black Friday festivities.

Currys has been a regular player and this year is no different, with the retailer launching a Black Friday 2024 deals page.

What to expect from Currys Black Friday sale 2024

We’re expecting a flood of deals across every department, from household appliances and audio-visual gear to computing, phones, and accessories.

We’re also expecting deals on smart home devices, hair and beauty devices, and more.

Last year, Currys kicked off its offers a couple of weeks before the main event, and we suspect it’ll do the same this year.

Most deals will likely roll right through to Cyber Monday, extending beyond the traditional Black Friday weekend.

What was in the sale last year?

Last year there was up to 40% off thousands of products in the Currys sale, with some items even seeing as much as half price knocked off.

Here are the top deals from the 2023 sale:

  • Microsoft Xbox Series X – 1 TB, £479 £359 – buy here
  • Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with MagSafe Charging Case (USB-C) – White, £229 £199 – buy here
  • Apple 10.2-inch iPad (2021) – 64 GB, Space Grey, £369 £299 – buy here
  • Apple iPhone 13 – 128 GB, Midnight, £599 £549 – buy here
  • HISENSE 50A6KTUK 50-inch Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV with Amazon Alexa, £499 £279 – buy here

When is Cyber Monday 2024 and is Currys taking part?

Cyber Monday is set for December 2 this year – the Monday right after Black Friday, and it’s the grand finale of the sales frenzy.

Currys is almost certain to join in, as they’ve done in previous years.

In fact, like many other retailers, they’ve often extended deals well into December, so fingers crossed they do the same this time around.

While some of the best deals might fly off the shelves on Black Friday, Cyber Monday still brings plenty of chances to score amazing bargains.

Retailers often drop fresh offers throughout the weekend, with some saving special deals for the big day itself.

Should I wait until Black Friday to buy something from Currys?

If you’ve got your eye on something specific and it’s already featured in the Currys early deals, it might be smart to snag it sooner rather than later as the stock could run out fast.

On the other hand, if you’re just browsing or undecided, it might pay off to hold out a bit longer.

This way, you can see what other deals pop up, giving you more time to compare prices and pick the best offer.

Does Currys price match?

Yes, Currys does price match.

For up to seven days after purchase, you can use the price match promise.

If an item is listed for less at a competitor, Currys will refund you the difference.

How much does shipping cost?

Currys provides free standard delivery on orders over £40, arriving within three to five working days.

For orders under £40, delivery will cost £3.99.

If you’d like to choose a specific delivery day, there’s a £9.99 fee.

Need it faster? Next-day delivery is available for £5.99, or £10.99 if you want it before noon.

For larger items and appliances, standard delivery costs £20, or £35 if you select a specific time slot.

If you need next-day delivery on these, it’s £30 or £45 for a time slot.

Speaking of which, Templegate has also picked out three cracking punts worth having a go at now.

He’s taking on Paul Nicholls’ big Paddy Power Gold Cup fav Ginny’s Destiny with a hugely appealing 12-1 shot.

They nearly made it 2-2 only for The Jukebox Man to get nutted on the line in the Albert Bartlett.

Pauling has a strong squad of talent to go to war with this season and he has picked out five of his best in a new video shot exclusively for Members Enclosure readers.

Horror moment star footballer loses his FINGERS after flare is chucked onto pitch – that then goes off in his hand

THIS is the horrifying moment that caused a footballer to lose a finger and parts of two others on his birthday.

Footage shows the unfortunate Belgian player, Fabio Schiafino as he picks up the roaring flare before it brutally explodes in his hand.

Fabio was forced to undergo three separate crucial operations in just two days.

He lost his entire index finger, half of his thumb and middle finger in the tragic event on October 19th.

The traumatising ordeal has left Fabio in a terrible condition, following the incredibly painful moment.

Fabio told local media: “My hand was completely destroyed.

 “It’s not going well.

“I haven’t slept or eaten for almost two days, they’ve taken me from one operating room to another.

“I think I’ve had three or four operations already.

“I’m receiving medication and anaesthesia 24 hours a day, 7 days a week intravenously.

“I first thought it was a smoke bomb and I immediately saw the danger, both for my teammates and the fans.

“There were children around, I didn’t want anyone to get burned.

“In a split second, I decided to remove the projectile.

“When the smoke cleared, I saw a lot of blood on my right hand, some fingers were missing.”

“I didn’t immediately realise what had happened, my brother walked towards me and it was only when I saw him staring at my hand in shock that I looked at it.”

In an even more twisted fashion, the incident occurred on the star’s 26th birthday.

The flare that was thrown, a Cobra 6 firecracker, has the power of a hand grenade.

The vicious weapon is banned in Belgium.

Fabio is still receiving medical treatment in a hospital in Bruges, Belgium, as reported by NeedToKnow.

The dangerous suspected thrower, who was identified as a supporter of Fabio’s team KSCT Menen, was arrested and faces charges of assault and battery.

The fan also faces a potential stadium ban of up to 10 years.

He has been released on conditions.

KSCT Menen have announced they will be taking legal action in a damning statement.

They said: “We deeply regret this incident and distance ourselves from the person in question.

“He is not known to our club, but has been identified. KSCT Menen will take civil action in this case through the police.”

Before the painful incident, KSCT Menen had just thrashed SK Zillebeke 4-0 in the Belgian Fourth Division C league tie.

Fabio also commented on the alleged thrower: “I know the guy a little, he contacted me to ask if he could call me.

“When I spoke to him on the phone, I told him that I do not blame him.”

The police investigation continues.

Hamas terrorist who worked for United Nations killed in airstrike… but UN chief accused of MOURNING loss of ‘colleague’

THE head of the United Nations has been banned from Israel after being accused of mourning the death of an October 7 terrorist killed in Gaza.

Cold-blooded killer Mohammad Abu Itiwi led the massacre of Nova Festival fans slaughtered as they cowered in shelters and was later revealed to be a United Nations UNRWA aid worker.

His death has been lamented by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres who described the savage as a “colleague” – sparking fury in Israel.

Foreign Minister Israel Katz led a backlash yesterday amid rising claims of UN bias against the embattled Jewish state.

Mr Katz said: “UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, declared persona non grata in Israel, has reached new heights of hypocrisy and insensitivity.

“Last night, he lamented the elimination of their “UNRWA colleague” by IDF forces in Gaza.

“Who exactly is he mourning? Mohammad Abu Itiwi, a commander in the Nukhba Unit of the Al-Bureij Battalion, who led the massacre in the shelter in Re’im on October 7, and whose details were exposed by the IDF.

“Guterres and UNRWA are complicit in war crimes.”

UNRWA has confirmed that one of its staffers was killed by an Israeli strike in Gaza after Israel named him as a Hamas commander.

Attawi, who led the killing and kidnapping of Israelis from a roadside bomb shelter near Kibbutz Re’im on October 7 last year, has been a driver with the UN funded agency since July 2022.

Israeli intelligence chiefs say was among several staff from the agency – funded by western taxpayers – who took part in the massacres of 1,200 and kidnapping of 251 hostages.

He has also been identified in video footage taken during the massacres but no action was taken against him.

The attack on Guterres came after a former Israeli hostage begged the UN for support while revealing her rape hell at the hands of a Hamas captor.

Freed survivor Amit Soussana told the UN Security Council: “I urge you, It is your responsibility to protect human rights, to combat terrorism, and to bring those responsible for these heinous crimes to justice.

“The world is watching, waiting for the UN Security Council to live up to its mandate.”

Amit, who was kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza and released last November, said: “I was held captive, alone, chained by my ankle with a metal chain, unable to move and had to ask for permission to use the bathroom.

“I was sexually assaulted by the Hamas terrorist who was guarding me.

Amit told the Security Council her captor forced her into the shower and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint “in the most horrifying way.”

She said: “He was breathing heavily and had a monstrous, beast-like face, scheming and waiting for the moment to have his way.”

“He kept asking me private sexual questions while sitting next to me in his underwear, lifting my shirt, touching me and constantly asking me when my period would be over.”

“When the assault was over, I wasn’t even allowed to cry or to be sad.”

“Not a day goes by that I don’t think about what that terrible man did to me, but I keep reminding myself that I am free now and that he can’t hurt me again.”

Fighting continued to rage in southern Lebanon where five Israeli soldiers were killed and 19 wounded by a Hezbollah rocket.

The men were killed when a building was blasted as they received supplies from a convoy in an Israeli occupied village.

It was later revealed that one of the five killed was the cousin of a hostage dragged to Gaza by Hamas terrorists during last year’s October 7 attacks last.

Warrant Officer Guy Idan, 51, was the cousin of Tsahi Idan, who was taken Kibbutz Nahal Oz after his oldest daughter Maayan, 18, was shot dead.

Four of the 19 injured in Thursday night’s rocket barrage on reservist soldiers were said to have been critically wounded.

Strictly’s Shirley Ballas lands HUGE Hollywood deal alongside A-list stars – sparking rumours she’ll QUIT BBC show

SHIRLEY Ballas appears to be heading to Hollywood after bagging a major new role.

The Strictly Come Dancing head judge will be working alongside her son Mark Ballas, a professional on Dancing With The Stars, for a major new ballroom-inspired movie.

It will no doubt spark rumours that Shirley could be re-considering her Strictly future[/caption]

A brand new rom-com titled The Light Fantastic has been confirmed to be filmed in the heart of ballroom in Blackpool and Shirley and her son will be leading the choreography for the flick.

The mother-and-son duo will be creating all the routines for the film which has already got some A-list names attached to it, including a former star of the Strictly dancefloor.

Layton Williams will be among the cast of the movie alongside acting icon Rupert Everitt, Misfits and Culprits star Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and War Horse actor Jeremy Irvine.

A teaser for the upcoming film confirms that Jeremy will be taking on the lead role of Jason, a gay firefighter with aspirations of being an acclaimed ballroom champ.

Having decided to learn how to dance in Blackpool, Jason will manage the traditions of ballroom dancing under the watchful eye of his instructor, Reynolds, played by Rupert.

The news of Shirley’s new role could spark fears that she could be preparing to quit the BBC dancing contest.

With filming on the movie set to commence in early 2025, it is believed that Shirley and her son are already hard at work crafting the routines for the film.

Shirley first joined the dancing show to replace Len Goodman in 2016 and has been the head judge on the show ever since.

Her son Mark made a name for himself stateside as one of the pro dancers on the US equivalent of the show, Dancing With The Stars.

Mark’s most famous celeb partner was Kim Kardashian when she signed up for the show in 2008 in her early years of fame.

The then-budding reality star was voted off after just three dances with Mark.

Kim was Mark’s least successful partner in his 20 series on the programme.

Mark has won the show three times overall – with TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, gymnast Shawn Johnson and figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi.

The code gears you up with the Hella Chill operator skin, nostalgic 90s Chic calling card, a Coin Operated Weapon Charm, and an Arcade Avenger Emblem.
