Darts star eats 46 PACKETS of crisps in one day and follows same two-ingredient diet all year round
IF darts star Kevin Mills is not tasting glory – then chances are it is crisps.
The Welshman is hungry for success at the Modus Super Series tournament in Porstmouth this week.
Kevin Mills darts player[/caption]Old school darts players were known for their love of pints – but for Mills it is crisps.
And the 34-year-old rarely knows when to packet in with eating Walkers, with his unusual diet seeing him eat just two things.
Modus Super Series commentators revealed during his match against Danny Jansen: “Mills has a very interesting diet. A diet that he even used on his wedding day.
“It involves two ingredients and that’s all he eats in his life, two ingredients – bread and crisps.
“So on his wedding day everybody else had a hog roast and he was sat there with a crisp sandwich.
“I wonder what Christmas dinners are like around his house? So everybody’s got all the turkey, the trimmings, this massive meal, and he’s just sat there with a crisp sandwich and a bit of butter.
“He’s told us that his record for most packets of crisps in a day is 46. He’s had 46 packets of crisps in one day.”
As he was revealing the shock diet, Mills hit a stunning 180 and the commentator could not resist saying: “Well that was a crisp visit wasn’t it.”

Popular Android phones from Samsung, OnePlus and more set to receive ‘game-changing’ speed and battery boost very soon
ANDROID fans are in for a mega performance boost on some of the world’s best known phone brands very soon.
Devices from the likes of Samsung, OnePlus and Xiaomi are set to launch with powerful new tech onboard in the coming weeks.
New chip will power phones by several major brands[/caption]The kit is known as Snapdragon 8 Elite – the company which many may recognise as the newest shirt sponsor for Manchester United.
Snapdragon is the processing chip many smartphones depend on to keep things running smoothly.
Their latest processing update is “the most powerful and world’s fastest mobile system-on-a-chip ever”, according to Qualcomm, the US tech giant that owns Snapdragon.
This makes more intensive tasks like gaming or AI tools super smooth and less laggy to run.
Users should also notice speedy web browsing and better camera capabilities as a result.
These sorts of activities can normally drain battery a lot faster.
But Qualcomm says its tech is a lot more efficient as well, meaning devices should last much longer before needing a recharge.
Snapdragon 8 Elite utilises the company’s Qualcomm Oryon processing power, which has been used to boost PCs up until now.
“We are so excited to bring the power of Qualcomm Oryon to our Snapdragon mobile platforms for the first time,” said Chris Patrick, Qualcomm’s senior vice president and general manager of mobile handsets.
“Earlier this year we debuted it in PCs, delivering remarkable experiences and unparallel battery life to PC users, energising the industry and getting the attention of consumers.
“Today, our second generation of the Qualcomm Oryon CPU debuts in our flagship Mobile Platform – it’s a major leap forward and we expect consumers to be thrilled with the new experiences enabled by our CPU technology.”
As well as Samsung, OnePlus and Xiaomi, other big names in the world of Android are poised to launch devices with Snapdragon 8 Elite in the coming weeks.
This includes ASUS, Honor, iQOO, OPPO, RealMe and Vivo.
Why chips matter
By Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun
You may think that processing chips are for geeks.
But if you hate it whenever your phone gets slow or laggy, you might want to pay more attention to this tech.
The finer details can be very complex, such as the GHz (gigahertz) which measures the speed that electronic components are able to process instructions from software whenever you so much as tap an app or play a game.
Apple has its own chips for the iPhone, as does Google for the Pixel.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon is one of the bigger players that other household names like Samsung use.
Most of the powerful smartphones around at the moment use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 – but many newly launched phones are set to use the upgraded tech announced today, known as Snapdragon 8 Elite.
More premium phones tend to use the most recent, powerful chips on the market.
Angelina Jolie & toyboy rapper Akala spent 2 nights together after she secretly sneaked Brit rapper into her hotel suite
ACTRESS Angelina Jolie has been on a string of secret dates in London as her romance with British hip-hop star Akala heats up.
The Oscar-winner, 49, sneaked the 40-year-old rapper into her hotel suite during her trip to the capital at the weekend.

A source said: “Angelina and Akala have been secretly spending nights together at her London hotel The Corinthia.
“Angelina arrived at the hotel via the loading bay at around 8pm on Wednesday before being joined by Akala at around 10pm.
“The pair spent Wednesday and Thursday night together inside the hotel and did not leave.
“Akala was snuck out of the hotel via one of Angelina’s cars on Friday — a couple of hours before the BFI film premiere for her new movie.
“They are using separate cars and secret entrances to keep their relationship under wraps, but it’s the real deal.”
Angelina has been in London to promote the film, about opera singer Maria Callas.
Both she and Akala attended the premiere at the Southbank Centre on Friday, although they arrived separately.
Akala has already met the family, too.
He was seen hugging Angelina’s son Pax, 20, at the US premiere of Maria in New York last month.
Angelina’s son Maddox, 23, and daughter Zahara, 19, were also at the event.
She split from film star Brad Pitt, 60, in 2019, saying it was for the “wellbeing of her family”.

ANGRY residents have been left out of pocket after travellers have taken over their coffee shop car park.
The illegal encampment has left Wilson + Bay Coffee Club earning “£0 per day” due to the surrounded car park no longer being accessible without walking through the makeshift caravan site.

However, he has not let that affect his attitude to work, calling for people to not be afraid and continue using his business as normal.
He said: “If you can continue to keep buying those lattes, it sends such a strong message to the new residents of the area.
“This area is for the people of St Julians, it is a public area and we need to disrupt this flow which is likely not going to go away today.
“I can’t give an answer on how long this situation will last.
“We are going to ride it out for as long as we can but we have had to change our opening hours, while making little to no money at all.”
In a bid to keep the business afloat and to repair some damages made to the viewpoint Jonathan has started a fundraising page.
“Lots of our regulars have asked me to set a donations page up, based on the fact many want to visit to support our Christchurch Viewpoint store at present but really do not want to due to the current encampment on site. This is something we completely understand,” he said.
“At present we are unsure how long the nature of the current situation could go on for.
“Our main focus right now is to not have to close, look after our team and be able to afford enough to keep enough staff on and maintain their hours of work.
“We’re remaining open to show a united front yet the environment remains challenging to trade from.
“In the background, we’re doing everything we can do to support our team. Ensuring no lone working, coaching, guidance on how to deal with the challenges we’re facing daily.
“My team are showing immense resilience and even in this situation, they are trying to show respect and patience.”
Local walkers, named only as Gareth and Sharon say their daily trip to the coffee shop have been “essential” for them.
Sharon said: “It’s such a shame for the business; for Jonathan and the staff here, who are good as gold.
“We both love coming here for a coffee in the morning, it gets us out and about. The way they have taken over the site is terrible, honestly it is such a shame.”
Newport City Council has been approached for comment but has previously said: “We are currently working with Gwent Police and other partners and taking all appropriate steps in line with the legal process.
“We recognise the impact on the local businesses and the public and will continue to monitor the situation closely.”
The Sun has also approached Gwent Police for comment.

PAUL Merson has revealed the heartbreaking reason behind his Strictly Come Dancing stint following his exit from the show.
The football legend, 56, is the latest celebrity to be axed from Strictly following a tense dance off with JLS star JB Gill.
The football legend and Karen Hauer bowed out of the show on Sunday[/caption]Paul, who lasted five weeks in the BBC show, has now opened up about why he decided to take part.
Sitting alongside his Strictly pro partner Karen Hauer, Paul touched upon his former addiction to drugs, alcohol and gambling.
Paul has overcome his demons and hopes his appearance on Strictly will show other addicts that “anything can happen”.
In his and Karen’s appearance on Strictly: It Takes Two, Paul said he had received countless messages of congratulations and support following their exit.
He said: “It’s nice. I’ve had a lot of messages, which is nice.
“You know, my thing when it first started off, one was for my mum because of what she did, but the other thing was to help people who struggle with addiction badly, because takes away your life, addiction.
“Just to show people that anything can happen. You can go and do anything when you stop doing something that keeps on ruining your life.
“And Karen was a big part of that, which I’m very grateful for.”
Paul and Karen found themselves in the dance off after performing a a samba to the disco hit Car Wash, by Motown legend Rose Royce.
They ended up bottom of the leader board and in the dance off with JB and his partner Amy Dowden.
Fans and the judges were left gasping when it was revealed that JB, arguably one of the stronger dancers on the programme, would have to dance again for his place in the contest.
The judges chose to save JB, but the outcome left some viewers accusing the outcome as a “fix” due to the show’s format.
One fan took to social media and said: “I think they just pick anyone to be in the dance off. The votes don’t mean anything at all. Waste of money. They have prob already decided who’s in the dance off. All fixed.”
A second added: “They always say it’s about the dance off but it can’t have, been because Paul was the better dancer in it so it seems like a fix.”
And a third said: “They knew they’d save JB even though his jive was messy and boring. Paul has been brilliant to watch and should’ve been saved. What a fix.”
In his and Karen’s exit interview with Fleur East on It Takes Two, Paul said he “couldn’t have done any better” on the weekend.
He joked: “If you’d seen me in rehearsals, it was unbelievable.
“I was like, ‘Why has Karen got that wrong?’ But it was me!”

Yoro is now gradually edging closer to a return – much to the joy of under-pressure Erik ten Hag.
He took to the training pitch at Carrington today for the first time since his operation.
The defender was also put through his paces in the gym last week under the watchful eye of United‘s medical staff.
Despite his progression, the Red Devils insist there is “still plenty of work to do” before he can make his competitive debut.
Yoro thrilled fans earlier this month after posting a video of his progress on social media.
He shared a clip of himself running on an anti-gravity treadmill in the gym and wrote: “On the way back.”
The teenager joined Man Utd in a £52million transfer from Lille this summer but is yet to make his Premier League debut.

Upon his arrival at Old Trafford, he said: “Signing for a club with the stature and ambition of Manchester United so early in my career is an incredible honour.
“Since my first conversations with the club, they set out a clear plan for how I can develop in Manchester as part of this exciting project, and showed a lot of care for me and my family.
“I know about the history of young players at Manchester United and feel it can be the perfect place to reach my potential and achieve my ambitions, together with my new team-mates. I cannot wait to get started.”
Huge title-deciding match suspended with stadium evacuated and second half played the following day with no fans
A HUGE derby match in Sweden was suspended on Sunday – with fans banned from watching the second half.
The Stockholm derby between Hammarby and Djurgarden descended into chaos when supporters began throwing pyrotechnics onto the pitch.
Djurgarden supporters set off pyrotechnics during a derby match against Hammarby[/caption] The match was suspended but fans refused to leave[/caption] It was completed the following day[/caption]With Hammarby leading, officials paused the match in the 76th minute before players began to evacuate.
Almost one hour later, it was announced that local police had withdrawn the legal permission required to hold the event.
Fans were then told to leave the stadium immediately, but some refused.
They then continued to chant: “We’re going nowhere.”
A statement from the police read: “The police authority has decided to dissolve a public event at Tele2 Arena today, Sunday, October 20.
“This follows the assessment that less invasive measures are considered insufficient.
“The reason is that the organiser responsible for the public event is not deemed capable of guaranteeing order and safety.”
Djurgarden later confirmed the match would conclude on Monday without the presence of supporters.

A statement from the club read: “The derby between Djurgarden and Hammarby was interrupted with a quarter of an hour left in the second half due to pyrotechnics being thrown onto the field.
“After a match meeting, word came that the police had dissolved the public permit, which meant that the arena had to be evacuated before the match could resume again.”
The match restarted on Monday from the 76th minute and Hammarby went on to win 2-0 thanks to a brace from Nahir Besara.
They now sit second in the Allsvenskan table, with Djurgarden down in third.
