Strictly’s Katya Jones is stony-faced as she arrives for show rehearsals with Wynne Evans
STRICTLY’S Katya Jones looked stony-faced as she arrived for show rehearsals with Wynne Evans today.
Pro dancer Katya, 35, put on a serious display while making her way to the studio seaparately from Wynne, 52, after their ‘grope scandal’.

The GoCompare face kept things casual in a green jacket over a grey shirt, paired with jeans, and carrying a black coat under his arm.
He also sported a pair of headphones around his neck.
Katya was dressed in a black coat and matching leggings, with a handbag in tow and three hot drinks in hand.
The duo have been under scrutiny recently, with more focus on their ‘grope scandal’ than their dance moves.
And, this weekend, eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a concerning detail concerning Katya and the BBC Radio Wales host – leaving many feeling upset on his behalf.
The pair stood apart from one another during the live show, while many commented on how Wynne didn’t seem his usual happy, smiley self.
Many took to X, formerly Twitter, to comment, with one saying: “Wynne is a shell of his former self” and another commenting: “Wynne and Katya looking awkward is comedy moment of the night.”
Another fan simply added: “Wynne and Katya. Oh dear.”
Things then took a turn for the worse when it was their turn to perform.
In their opening footage, Katya said Wynne needed to: “Take it to a whole new level,” with the Welsh singer admitting their quickstep felt like a “gym routine”.
When Katya added: “It’s not something he’s used to,” Wynne commented: “She is way more tired than I am.”
“What I was trying to say is, I need to build my stamina if I’m to carry him for this routine,” Katya said laughing.
The pair then danced a quickstep to Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.
Their routine finished with a blob of mayonnaise on Wynne’s head as Katya cleaned it off.
Judge Anton Du Beke commented: “It’s a lovely show when you dance”.
Motsi Mabuse called it “exquisite” before the pair gained 33 points for their efforts.
Wynne and Katya have been under intense scrutiny recently after two rather awkward moments.
The first was when Katya knocked his hand away when it moved along her waist.
Then the Russian dancer and choreographer was deemed to have left her pro partner hanging when he tried to high-five her following Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin‘s performance.
Taking to Strictly spin-off show, It Takes Two, Katya re-addressed the problems from the week before.
She said: “I have to make this absolutely clear that this whole incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night, it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. “
“Was it a silly joke? Yes. Was it a bad joke? Yes.”

TV SUPERSTARS Ant and Dec allegedly helped to promote the Saudi Public Investment Fund’s Newcastle United takeover.
The Geordie duo were reportedly asked to share an article from the Shields Gazette in October 2020 about opposition to the Premier League failing to approve the PIF buy-out.
Ant and Dec allegedly helped to promote the Saudi PIF’s Newcastle takeover[/caption] Amanda Staveley’s alleged leaked WhatsApp messages promised the pair would ‘push’ articles[/caption]The Telegraph have claimed to have seen WhatsApp messages from ex-Newcastle director Amanda Staveley that promised the multi-award winning big screen pair would ‘push’ the piece.
Ant and Dec then shared the article on Twitter within four minutes.
The Shields Gazette had written about a supporters’ group who were claiming that by delaying the takeover the Premier League was acting against UK anti-competition law.
This investigation by The Telegraph then states that Ant and Dec shared another article from the same publication two days later regarding the progress of the takeover and that answered questions on it.
The Premier League had refused to sanction the takeover earlier that summer due to concerns about the consortium, which was backed by PIF, and their links to the Saudi state.
That led to the bid initially being abandoned due to them not being able to provide separation between themselves and the Saudi state, which is led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
That led to a petition that called on Prem chiefs to explain their reasons for delaying the takeover of the consortium that was made up of the Saudi Arabian PIF, the Reuben Brothers, and Staveley.
Things turned nasty when Premier League chief executive Richard Masters came under a personal attack and had his home address shared on fan forums online.

The main sticking point and hold up was with regards to the completion of a key Premier League form in the owners and directors test about club control and ownership.
In particular, the residing of the 80 per cent stake in the club in Saudi.
Top-flight bosses wanted to make the link between the Saudi Arabian state and Newcastle open but it was met by resistance and, after an offer to place the issue in arbitration was also rejected, the consortium pulled out.
However, over a year later in September 2021 the £305m takeover was completed after proof that the Saudi state would not actually be in control of the North East club was provided and the Premier League owners’ and directors’ test was passed.
