Coronation Street fans ‘reveal’ new theory behind Joel murder saying he’ll make shock return at Xmas – and ISN’T dead

CORONATION Street fans have ‘revealed’ a new theory about Joel Deering – and they’re convinced he’ll make a shock return.

Fans of the long-running ITV soap watched as the evil villain apparently met his fate September.

Corrie bosses have revealed a list of people who are in the frame for his demise[/caption]

Joel’s lies and crimes had been exposed and was set to face justice before skipping court.

Scenes then showed the character – played by Calum Lill – say goodbye to Dee Dee Bailey as a nasty cut could be seen on his face.

It was later revealed Joel had been killed off screen as it was revealed the solicitor had been murdered.

But now eagle-eyed Coronation Street fans are convinced he’s not actually dead – and will return at Christmas.

As police officer Kit Taylor is put in charge of the case, viewers think he has secretly blackmailed Joel’s father into identifying a body that’s not is.

They’re also sure he’s blackmailed him for the bag of money that was sitting in the locker.

Meanwhile, fans have learnt that Kit is now in the frame for Joel’s murder and has joined the list of suspects.

In tonight’s Coronation Street, viewers will see the waters further muddied when a shock flashback takes them back to the night of September 27.

It will show a clearly agitated Kit deleting a phone call while snatching a bottle of whiskey from the Rovers bar.

Where was Kit those moments prior and what does he need to take the edge off?

A second flashback will reveal all as viewers see Kit on the wrong side of the law once more, leaving viewers wondering if the Weatherfield cop is actually the killer?

Coronation Street airs on ITV1 at 8pm.

Coronation Street's 2024 shock exits

Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let's break down who's left the famous soap:

Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.

The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza’s grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.

Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.

After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.

Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.

Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.

Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul’s impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.

Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.

The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.

Simon’s been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.

Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.

It looks likely she’ll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.

Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.

Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.

Is Hoka taking part in Black Friday this year?

Hoka will likely take part in Black Friday 2024.

In previous years, the brand has launched Black Friday discounts, and it’s already encouraging shoppers to sign up to its official newsletter to get early access to the deals.

Of course, Hoka footwear is available to buy from several different retailers.

Stores like JD Sports, Office, M&S and Foot Locker will be hosting Black Friday events, so it’s definitely worth checking to see if Hoka products appears in their sales.

Remember to shop around and compare prices during the sale period to find the lowest possible prices for your coveted items.

What to expect from the Hoka Black Friday sale 2024?

Expect to see some of Hoka’s bestselling styles in the sale later this month

Hoka trainer deals

The Hoka Black Friday Sale 2024 promises exciting deals for both seasoned runners and casual sports enthusiasts.

Shoppers can expect substantial discounts on a wide range of Hoka’s best-selling chunky sole collections.

These include the Clifton, Bondi and Speedgoat series, all known for their comfort and unparalleled performance.

In addition to footwear, the sale might feature big discounts on Hoka’s apparel and accessories ranges, making it the perfect time to upgrade all of your running gear.

What was in the Hoka Black Friday sale last year?

During last year’s Hoka Black Friday sale, shoppers enjoyed significant discounts on several of the brand’s popular running shoes and clothing.

The sale had limited markdowns on well-known models including the hugely popular Clifton series, with discounts ranging from 25 to 30%.

Many Black Friday deals were extended beyond Cyber Monday, giving bargain-hunters even more time to snap up the bargains on offer.

In addition to footwear, there were also deals on Hoka’s performance clothing and accessories.

The sale was available both online and in stores, with many items selling out quickly.

However, shoppers were able to find some discounts on collections at other footwear retailers.

When is Cyber Monday 2024 and is Hoka taking part?

The specific date of Cyber Monday changes yearly, but it’s always the Monday directly after Black Friday.

This year, it’s December 2, 2024. Head to our when is Cyber Monday explainer to find out more.

It was once a day of online-only deals, but since the boom of internet shopping, has less of a unique selling point.

In previous Black Friday events, deals have been extended far beyond the Cyber Monday date and last well into December ahead of Christmas.

Last year, Hoka hosted its Cyber deals past the end of Monday, so we’ll be interested to see if it does the same in 2024.

Because Hoka shoes are sold at other retailers, there’s also a chance you could bag a discount later than the designated dates elsewhere.

How much does Hoka’s shipping cost?

In the UK, Hoka offers free standard shipping on orders for full-price items and £2.99 if you’ve got a sale delivery. Standard shipping typically takes about 2-3 business days for delivery.

If you need your items sooner, Hoka provides expedited shipping options, which generally cost between £5.99 and £8.95, depending on the delivery speed.

These options can reduce delivery time to 1-2 business days, as well as deliveries on Sundays. Hoka also ships to other countries from the UK site, with international shipping costs varying by destination.

Be sure to check the specific retailer’s website or the official Hoka UK website for the most accurate delivery information.

Does Hoka offer any other discounts?

Yes, sometimes you can bag a discount on Hoka products outside of the Black Friday period.

They often provide promotions for end-of-season sales, as well as during the start of a New Year and the back-to-school periods too.

Additionally, Hoka sometimes offers discounts to specific groups, such as students via Student Beans and other outlets, healthcare workers, and military personnel.

At the moment, subscribing to Hoka’s newsletter will give you 10% off your first purchase. Signing up for the newsletter will also give you access to receive exclusive offers and early-bird looks at sales.

Occasionally, Hoka offers discounts on bundles or specific product lines, allowing customers to save more when purchasing multiple items from a collection together.

Rachel Reeves is WRONG – British farms ARE in jeopardy & we’re ready to go militant, farmers blast over Budget tax hike

FURIOUS farmers are ready to “go militant” over Rachel Reeves’ new tractor tax, the National Farmers Union boss has warned.

Tom Bradshaw insisted British farms are in real jeopardy from the Government’s 20 per cent tax on properties over £1 million.

He slammed Treasury figures as “wildly off” , saying nearly two-thirds of farms will be hit by the inheritance tax raid – far more than the 27 per cent claimed.

The NFU chief’s warning came right after a heated meeting with Environment Secretary Steve Reed earlier this morning.

The Cabinet Minister had hoped the talks would ease tensions and reassure farms about their concerns.

But as he emerged from the meeting, Mr Bradshaw said: “We fully dispute the figures the Treasury has been using and we’ve played back Defra’s own figures.

“So, the Treasury is saying only 27 per cent of farms will be within scope of these changes, Defra’s own figures suggest that two-thirds of farms will be in scope.

“How they can have that wide a discrepancy within Government is quite unbelievable.”

Calling on ministers to swiftly U-turn on the tax raid, he said: “There’s certainly no resolution today, we’ve made very passionately our perception clear: that this tax change is completely unfair.”

The NFU boss also warned of of unprecedented anger in the industry, saying: “I have never seen the weight of support, the strength of feeling and anger that there is in this industry today.

“Many of them want to be militant.

“Now we are not encouraging that in any way shape or form but government need to understand that there is a real strength of feeling behind what this change means for the future of family farming in this country.

“We’ll wait to hear from government and treasury and see if we can get to a resolution.”

The Chancellor yesterday doubled down on her claim that only a “very small number” of farms will be hit by her changes.

She claimed in “most cases” a farm worth £3million can be passed on without paying any tax.

She told the BBC: “After that the tax rate for inheritance tax for agricultural property is 20 per cent compared to 40 per cent that everyone else pays, and you can pay that over a ten-year period interest-free…

“I don’t think it is affordable to carry on with a relief like that when our public finances are under so much pressure.”

“Most over hyped and over rated horse in history” – Punter’s split after City of Troy flops in Breeders’ Cup Classic

CITY OF TROY’S flop in the Breeders’ Cup Classic has divided opinion amoungst racing fans.

On Saturday evening the colt who had never raced on dirt attempted to make history as the first Ballydoyle horse to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic.

City Of Troy was well backed before the race[/caption]

It was not to be, and instead City Of Troy got a bad start and finished down the field in a huge anti-climax.

Many regarded Aidan O’Brien’s ambitious attempt to win the £5 million race as a heroic move and were particularly charmed by his modest post-race interview.

When speaking to Sun Racing’s Matt Chapman, he was at pains to point out City Of Troy’s inability to break fast enough was completely his own fault, and he should have prepared the horse better.

But there was an inevitable social media backlash after the colt finished a sorry 13 lengths behind the winner, the Coolmore-owned Sierra Leone.

And punters took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent their frustration with O’Brien’s decision to run his superstar in the race that they believed he could never win.

A huge number believed City Of Troy was never going to be able to to show his true colours when racing on dirt.

One person said: “By “a little bit better prepared” he means “entered in a turf race.””

Another added: “My  idol  Aidan  took  the  worst  decision of  his  entire  great  career…”

Whilst another said: “Should have been with an American trainer.”

Other’s simply did not believe City Of Troy, who crashed and burned on his first outing of the season in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, was top class enough for the American Classic.

On this, one said: “The most over-hyped and over-rated horse in history.”

Another said: “City of Troy is a good horse on his day amongst a crop of very average 3yo European Colts. A world-class horse he ain’t. No amount of Magnier hype will make it otherwise.”

City Of Troy’s preparation gallop at midlands track Southwell, which was supposed to get him used to galloping on a surface similar to the dirt he would experience at Del Mar, also came under fire.

One punter said: “Maybe don’t send your challengers to Southwell in future as that doesn’t help at all.”

However, given the horse jumped off near favourite for the Del Mar showpiece, it seems a huge number of people DID support O’Brien’s decision to run him on a foreign surface.

And the response to his failure was not all negative.

From some corners of X, formerly known as Twitter, there was an outpouring of love for the Ballydoyle trainer.

One fan said: “As always Aidan is a very honest man! Respect!”

Another added: “What a legend, blames himself first! So rare these days. Class.”

One punter agreed: “Love his attitude, doesn’t shy away from any “mistakes” and holds himself accountable. Love Aidan O’Brien.”

While the race did not unfold as most racing fans would have liked, the hype leading up to the big event was worthwhile in itself according to some fans.

One said: “You could tell in the first 50 yards that he wasn’t at home on the surface. Never experienced running in a race with such a fast tempo and never experienced dirt kickback. Credit to Coolmore for giving it a go!”
