FOUR people have died and another 12 injured, including children, after a horror car pile-up on a motorway.
A lorry is said to have collided with a car in on the S7 expressway in northern Poland, triggering a chain reaction with 18 cars and three trucks.
A horror pile-up crash took place in Poland on Saturday[/caption] Four people have died and 12 were injured[/caption] Three trucks and 18 cars were involved in the motorway tragedy[/caption]The horror crash took place early Saturday on the stretch of motorway heading toward the coastal city of Gdynia.
Cops confirmed that children were tragically among the victims, Polskie Radio reports.
The lorry driver, a 37-year-old man, was immediately arrested, according to the Polish outlet.
Karol Kościuk, a spokesman for the Pruszcz Gdański district police station, said preliminary findings indicate that the driver may have rear-ended another car, causing the fatal pile-up.
Adding the investigation is ongoing, Kościuk said: “The truck driver was tested for sobriety and was found to be sober.
“His blood has been taken for further toxicological analysis.”
While police continue their work at the scene, the impacted part of the S7 is still off-limits to traffic.

I found a case packed with clothes I wore on Love Island – I tried them on for the bants but looked like a rolled-up ham
SHE appeared on Love Island back in 2020 in a bid to find love.
And Shaughna Phillips has certainly kept herself busy since then – rekindling her relationship with ex Billy Webb and the pair having daughter Lucia together.
But when she tried a cut-out cossie on “for bants”, she joked she looked like a “rolled-up ham”[/caption]But her mum was so determined that Shaughna shouldn’t forget her time in the villa that she kept a suitcase of her daughter’s clothes from then.
So when the 30-year-old found the case, she couldn’t resist trying on some of the outfits for old times’ sake.
“The other day I discovered a suitcase my mum had essentially hidden, filled with clothes from the Love Island villa,” Shaughna began the video on her Instagram page.
“Some I’d worn, some I haven’t worn and they’ve still got tags.
“I mean, firstly, I can’t believe some of these things I actually kept, because I thought they was nice!
“Like screaming, shaking, throwing up.”
Shaughna then put the huge bag, into which she’d emptied the contents of the case, onto the floor, and closed her eyes as she did a mystery rummage.
The first thing she pulled out of the case was a gold strapless swimsuit, as she exclaimed: “What’s this? No, what is this?
“I don’t think I’m gonna try this on!”
She then said she was going to “try it on for banter”, but was unconvinced when she modelled the one-piece.
“Okay, this actually might get removed for nudity,” she sighed.
“I look like, I can’t breathe. I look like one of those, is it like a pork?
“A pork you get in a supermarket?
“It’s a no from me!”
“Pork from supermarket = gammon,” one person commented on the Reel.
To which Shaughna replied: “That’s the one!”
How to find a flattering bikini for any body type
According to Boux Avenue the best swimwear for pears shapes is a high-cut style to add length to your legs or a bold high-leg swimsuit
For those with a straight body type, the underwear brand suggests a ruched swimwear option to create shape, and emphasise your legs.
For hourglass curves, the brand suggests a strappy swimwear style, or triangle bikini.
For apple body shapes an underwired bikini is best to work with your natural volume and a crinkle high waist bikini brief.
For round body shapes supportive cups are a must and a high-cut leg will add poise to your swimwear body pose.
The next item Shaughna pulled out was a frilly pink minidress, as she exclaimed: “Oh, for f**k’s sake!
But when she got it on, she insisted: “Yeah, I don’t hate it. I don’t hate it.”
Pulling down the sleeves of the dress, she said: “Does that make it any better?
“No, I like it.
“I’m sorry. I like it!”
In the caption of the Reel, Shaughna wrote: “If you didn’t see my stories the other day, I came across an unpacked suitcase from Love Island.
“I thought I’d try it on for the bants, and although I have no idea what my fashion sense is these days, I’m glad it’s evolved from this!”
Shaughna also urged fans to stop asking her about how she’s recently lost so much weight, as she promised that her “step by step” guide will be “worth” waiting for.
“Also for the odd few, please remember I’m still a person,” she concluded.
“The way I’m spoken to and about in my comments and in my DMs sometimes is genuinely shocking.
“And if I can kindly ask you to maybe just talk about me in your group chats instead of where I can actually see it that would be great lol!”
But when she got used to seeing herself in the flirty number, she said she actually liked it[/caption]MotoGP star rushed to hospital by air ambulance after terrifying crash with rival as 120mph collision is investigated
MOTO GP star Marco Bezzecchi has been airlifted to hospital after a horror collision in today’s Australian GP.
Bezzecchi collided with Maverick Vinales on the first corner at Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit.
A huge crash saw two riders come off their bikes during the Australian Grand Prix[/caption]The pair both flew off their bikes in what was described as a “massive crash” by the commentary team for the GP.
Fortunately Vinales has been declared fit after the incident, while Bezzecchi was airlifted to a hospital in Melbourne for a full checkup.
It’s understood that Bezzecchi has not suffered any fractures.
The incident is also under investigation by the Stewards.

Darts stars Van Barneveld and Gurney share touching moment at end of match despite humiliating WHITEWASH
DARYL Gurney put on a brave face for the punters after a thrashing from darts great Raymond van Barneveld.
The two stars shared a touching moment on stage following Barney’s 6-0 demolition of Superchin on Friday night.
Raymond van Barneveld was in impressive form to begin the Czech Open[/caption] Daryl Gurney joined the 57-year-old for a singalong – despite being whitewashed[/caption]Van Barneveld averaged 98 as he raced to victory in the Czech Darts Open.
The 57-year-old veteran hit three maximums as Gurney was blown away in Prague.
Following the match, the world No. 26 could only shrug his shoulders at Barney’s dominance.
And he delighted the crowd by joining the darts legend for a rousing rendition of Sweet Caroline.
Gurney stayed on stage rather than scuttling off to the dressing rooms following the heavy defeat.
Linking arms with van Barneveld, the pair belted out the Neil Diamond classic to thousands packed into the EXPO Arena.
“Fair play to Gurney for staying on,” wrote one darts fan on X.
“Even singing together at the end,” added another.

Five-time world champion Barney will now face Gerwyn Price in the last 32.
Earlier in the evening, reigning champion Peter Wright made it through 6-5 following a thriller against Cameron Menzies.

The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age – smashing records along the way.
He has then gone on to win a host of PDC events and the Premier League title – which he claimed at the O2 Arena by beating world champion Luke Humphries in May.

He is also cashing in away from the Oche thanks to an Instagram side hustle.
And he’s even the face of a brand new cereal.
But he is newly single after splitting from girlfriend Eloise Milburn following a 10-month relationship.

Aspinall will now face teenage sensation Luke Littler in the next round.
Good Morning Britain plunged into crisis as Ed Balls ‘could be forced to QUIT show’ after wife caught up in scandal
GOOD Morning Britain was plunged into “crisis” mode and Ed Balls could be forced to LEAVE – after his wife became embroiled in ‘Taylorgate’.
The presenter, 57, has been absent from the flagship breakfast show and sources claim stressed ITV staff are frantically holding secret meetings.
Ed Balls’ future on Good Morning Britain is allegedly ‘causing real problems’[/caption] Ed came under fire after interviewing his own wife over the Southport stabbings[/caption]As reported by the MailOnline, the atmosphere has been tense at the ITV London studios as Ed’s wife, Home Secretary of State Yvette Cooper, has been embroiled in ‘Taylorgate‘.
A Good Morning Britain source alleged: “There are serious disagreements now over what to do for the best.
“The whole thing is a headache, he is rated highly as a broadcaster, but it is causing real problems now.
“ITV are desperately trying to find a solution. Ed is really well liked by the team, but he has become a growing headache with accusations of bias blighting the show.”
The scandal unfolded after Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer met Taylor Swift and her mother at Wembley after No10 “pressured” police to give the superstar VIP taxpayer funded security.
The PM accepted £2,600 worth of tickets to the final night of the Eras tour in London from Swift’s music label – and introduced his family to the billionaire singer.
It was revealed last week Ms Cooper was involved in the controversial decision that allowed the Eras Tour singer a bolstered police escort.
The Home Secretary was also given four tickets to the concert, which she attended with Ed.
The Good Morning Britain host tied the knot with Yvette Cooper in 1998 and they share three children together.
While nothing has been confirmed, the GMB host – who usually accompanies Susana Reid, has not appeared on set.
And, ITV bosses have been on high alert ever since Philip Schoefield’s bombshell This Morning exit, and subsequent fallout with Holly Willoughby – who also stepped down.
‘IT ALL WENT PRETTY CRAZY’
Ed joined the Labour party when he was just 16-years-old.
He served as Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families under Tony Blair and then as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer.
The GMB host sparked scathing criticism when he questioned his wife on the show after the Southport stabbings, which saw three little girls tragically killed.
Serious unrest was sparked following the horror, with violent riots sweeping across the UK.
A raging viewer penned: “How could you let Ed Balls interview his own wife, Yvette Cooper?!
“That’s not journalism, that’s a cosy little chat between spouses. Biased doesn’t even begin to cover it.”
The interview promoted a whopping 16,000 complaints and GMB sources claim the show went into “crisis” mode.
The insider alleged: “It all went pretty crazy, the bosses all headed off together.”
They also claimed ITV is “paranoid” about public reception and bosses “were fuming”.
One source added: “There are strong opinions all around ITV over it, how can things be fair and unbiased if he’s hosting?
“It isn’t just about Yvette, it’s about other Labour MPs and an anti-Tory narrative. It’s an incredible decision to have Ed on.”
Fellow GBM host Richard Madeley has appeared to take on more air time as alleged crisis talks unfold.
However, Ed still seems to have support from co-host Susanna Reid, who this “he is an absolute joy” according to insiders.
In response to fierce backlash after Ms Cooper’s interview, ITV’s CEO, Dame Carolyn McCall, said it would not happen again.
Speaking at the Royal Television Society conference, McCall said: “It was a very, very tricky morning, there was a national emergency almost being called, and so we got very short notice that the Home Secretary was coming on the show.
“She was doing a whole round [of interviews], but it was unexpected, and we believe that it was fair and impartial.
“And actually, Ofcom just ruled, but amazingly no one has picked up on the fact, that they are not pursuing these complaints, because they believe it’s fair, balanced and impartial.
“So, would we do it again? No. Was it impartial, fair and balanced? And did they behave professionally? Yes.”
Ed took over from Piers Morgan when he sensationally quit the show in 2021 over allegations surrounding Meghan Markle.
He refused to apologise for questioning the Duchess’ mental health had been affected by her time within the Royal Family.
Sources said Ed has “proven himself” since stepping up as a temporary replacement.
But his marriage to a politician is “a huge problem” and “the worry is that it will all end in tears”.
Ed Balls’ team were contacted for comment.

A ROYAL Mail worker has spilled the beans on what it’s really like being a postie, praising the employer for the stress-free environment.
Mum Erica Pettitt took to TikTok to share her experience working for the company and despite some people claiming it was ”toxic”, the postie said it was her ”dream job”.
One postie took to TikTok to spill the beans on what it’s really like working for Royal Mail[/caption]According to the brunette beauty, who describes herself as a ”metal head”, there are numerous perks to enjoy when you work for Royal Mail.
”There is no stress involved, I get to see amazing houses and views,” Erica told her followers on social media.
What’s more, not only does the happy postie get to see how others in the area live – but she also gets to hang out with pets, stroking cats and dogs whenever she’s on shift.
Proudly posing with the iconic red uniform, the mum went on in the video: ”Being out and about with my music on having a singalong is basically therapy.”
Praising the postal service and courier company, the employee claimed that when she gave birth and had to leave for a bit, she was given ”the most generous maternity leave” – and Royal Mail also helped when she needed someone to look after her kids.
”They accommodated my days and hours to fit my childcare.
”Might not be some people’s idea of living the dream – but it’s mine,” Erica said on her platform.
The mother, who’s been working for the company for six years now, added that ”it was difficult during COVID times but it’s mostly just a breeze”.
After the video took the internet by storm, Erica also replied to some of the questions in the comment section and spilled the beans on how many steps she does every day.
Responding to a viewer, the happy postie said: ”I don’t do walks at the moment just parcels because of my hours.
”My most was 40k when I would do a whole other walk on overtime.”
Although some reckoned that working for Royal Mail may not be the most ”glorious job” out there, Erica said that in her eyes, ”a simple life is a happy life”.
”Got to appreciate what you have got and not what you haven’t!”
With the festive season right around the corner, the employer also added that she would usually get ”a box of chocolates” from those she delivers the mail to.
”I’m happy with that but some people do put money in an envelope or a voucher.”
She went on in the comments: ”If I was childless I probably would have studied to do something else but it fits my lifestyle perfectly.”
Side hustles in numbers
Based on new research from Finder, an estimated 22.8 million Brits are using side hustles to top up their income.
Among those aged 18-23, 68 percent have a side hustle in 2024.
Those aged 24-42 aren’t far behind, with 65 per cent having an additional source of income.
Side hustles are less popular among older generations, with 40 percent of those aged 43-54 having one.
Whereas 23 percent of people aged 55-73 and just 7 per cent of those aged 74 and over are earning extra cash this way.
Hundreds of social media users flocked to share their thoughts, with many praising the positive attitude and even a few posties chimed in with their experience.
One wrote: ”I’m a delivery driver and feel exactly the same! Love my job and get to listen to audio books / podcasts all day.
”No one to answer to, just enjoy my own company, Doesn’t feel like work!”
Another added: ”love this! let’s normalise being stress free instead of chasing the next thing and putting pressure on ourselves. I love my job as a cleaner…..”
A third penned: ”7 years at Royal Mail and I still love the job. It’s physically hard but not mentally I don’t think. Plenty of worse jobs out there!”
”Brilliant. Lovely to see someone enjoying their job and being proud of it too,” someone else wrote.
I was genuinely scared I was going to die from a snake bite or running out of food filming perilous Channel 4 show
A TV Explorer feared she would die from a venomous snake bite or lack of food during her latest expedition to the deepest reaches of the Amazon rainforest.
The new series of Secret Amazon Into The Wild, began on October 7 and charts the adventures of British explorer Lucy Shepherd.
Lucy finds herself deep in the Amazon rainforest as she opens up about her biggest fears in an exclusive interview.[/caption] NINTCHDBPICT000939050307[/caption]Lucy spoke exclusively to The Sun Online about what went on behind the cameras and how she felt during the filming process of the survival show.
In series one, episode one we see Lucy and her indigenous team embark on an unprecedented 50-day expedition to traverse the virgin Amazon rainforest entirely on foot.
“Everyone thought it was impossible,” she said they entered a dangerous section of unexplored and dense jungle canopy that was to be their home for the next few months.
She and the team faced fearsome challenges from deadly snakes to alligators.
Speaking about whether she was ever scared at times, she admitted: “Yeah, multiple times, but also not at all. Truthfully, I was more scared for my team because, although there’s four guys with me and we all try to be as safe as possible and follow everything, at the end of the day, it just boils down to a lot of luck.
“You might be the best snake spotter or be able to tell what branch is good to stand on what’s not.
“But when you haven’t had much food and you’re tired and your skin is falling apart, then your senses do go down a little bit.
“Your pupils and your eyes are just so like ready for anything. So at night, I tried to make sure that my team were in the hammocks by the time it got properly black.”
But this was the time when they would want to go out and hunt, she revealed, leaving her vulnerable and alone in the dark.
“If we were near a river, they would want to go out hunting, shining with their torches, like use the bow and arrow to kill things.
“And I was like we cannot do that because it’s dark.”
As a result she said she feared the nights the most, and she slept so ‘animalistically’ hearing every sound.
She revealed that at times she felt so far away from home, in the middle of the mighty Amazon rainforest.
She said: “At some points on the expedition, it would have taken two weeks to rescue us. If you’re by a river, something happens, it will just be a few days because someone can come get down that river.
“But as soon as you’re a few weeks into the jungle, it isn’t as easy for helicopters with winches to come and get you.”
Often it felt like he was with me, and that he was testing us
Lucy Shepherd
Lucy also spoke about how just few months before the expedition, her mentor Ian Craddock suddenly died.
“It was like, well is this even more foolish to do this, or should we go ahead and do it in his name.”
They went ahead were joined by friends who thought it would be a great way to remember his legacy.
She confided: “Often it felt like he was with me, and that he was testing us.”
In one episode, she capsized into a boat which was captured on cameras.
The series is currently streaming on Channel 4 and airs on Channel 4. The first two episodes are available now.
Axed Big Brother star defends Marcello after viewers call for him to be booted out of house over sexual comments
AXED Big Brother star Ryan Bradshaw has leapt to the defence of housemate Marcello, following calls for him to be fired over his misogynistic remarks.
ITV2 viewers hit out at the ‘disgusting’ contestant, after her questioned whether Sarah was on her period due to her glum mood.
Marcello made an unacceptable remark to Sarah which got the fans in a frenzy[/caption] But axed housemate Ryan has sprung to his defence saying that he has been misunderstood[/caption]But now Blackpool-born Ryan, who was the first to be ejected from the Big Brother house, argues that Marcello has been misrepresented.
In an interview with The Sun he said: “I’ve got time for Marcello. But I just think he’s been represented, maybe a little bit differently, as what I’ve seen in there.
“At first I thought the same, I thought, oh, he’s this Greek God obviously he does talk about women. He’ll be the first to admit that. But there’s also the other side where he’s very respectful.” And Ryan added that he does have a generous streak.
He added: “He cooks and cleans for everyone. He opens doors for people, and I think yeah, I don’t think he’s as bad as what’s been made out.”
Earlier this week, youth worker Marcello, 34, had told Sarah, 27 that she smelled of “periods and teabags” before asking her whether it was “her time of the month.”
Standing up for herself, Sarah retorted: “”I’m feeling upset and you say, ‘Are you on your period?’
That makes me feel like you’re invalidating the way I feel because you think the way I feel is because I’m on my period. “You’re not sitting down and saying, ‘Why do you feel sad, Sarah?’
“You’re saying, ‘Oh God, you’re on your period.'”
Sarah went on to defuse the situation by calling him her ‘bestie’ but reiterated that his choice of words weren’t okay.
Marcello replied: “I’m learning,” promising that he wouldn’t say it again.
But fans rushed to social media as they blasted him over the shocking exchange.
One tweeted: “Marcello telling Sarah she smells like period and tea bags, denying it, then asking if it’s that time of her month is f****d up.”
Another added: “can’t get over marcello telling sarah she smells like ‘period and tea bags’. What is actually wrong with him??”
Someone else agreed: “My mouth dropped when Marcello said to Sarah she smells like period and teabags. Omg this guy is insane, he needs to be told off.”
A fourth fumed: “Marcello makes me violently ill and uncomfortable, get him out.”
Meanwhile Ryan’s early exit from the house came as no surprise to the viewers, after his Big Brother journey got off to a bad start.
The northerner ruffled some feathers after making a dig at those who self-identify.
He said: “I think I’m strong and opinionated.
“There’s a lot of woke people out there.
“It’s all well and good if you want to use certain pronouns, and I get that, but it gets a bit confusing sometimes with people identifying as a spoon or whatnot.”
Following this Ryan received some boos from the crowd during his entrance interview with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best,
But Ryan, who works in marketing was surprisingly taken a back by the bad reception he received from the crowd saying: “I got boos there, bloody hell.”
After he packed up his bags, Big Brother Late and Live bosses played the track Ego by Halsey as he walked up for a chat — taking a dig at his character.
The marketing and events worker also caused a scene in the house with Sarah over the shopping task in an episode earlier in the week.
Reflecting on the drama away from his co-stars, Ryan claimed he was set to become a “scapegoat” in the diary room.
He said: “It’s just a bit of fun innit, you know what I mean?
“As long as I don’t hurt anybody, I didn’t wanna upset anybody and I actually spoke to Sarah after to make sure she’s alright but I know people getting a bit angry but there’s a lot of mischief going on.
“It’s alright now, but we fail to shopping budget and finger’s on me. If there’s any punishment, I will say I’ll take one for the team because it was kind of me that caused it.
“But yeah, I think it’s all right now, but it’s gonna be a scapegoat, essentially that, oh, you know, if the luxury budget fails, 100 per cent I’ll be an easy target.
“So yeah, I’ve not really played it very well to be honest, have I Big Brother? Came up like a whizz-kid on day one, got blown up by a cake, stayed in a storage room, tried to do the honourable thing.
“Felt like I’d been ripped up, put for eviction, and I pissed people off today in the bloody shopping task, but you’ see how it going.”
On the night of the eviction, AJ said: “The viewers have spoken, we can now reveal that the first housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house is Ryan.”
Hugging his housemates, Ryan took the blow in his stride and said: “It’s all good, keep smashing it.
He added: “Gutted to be fair but someone’s got to go first.”
