GMB host confirmed to present special ITV spin-off after announcing break from the morning show
GOOD Morning Britain’s Martin Lewis has confirmed he’ll be hosting a new TV special for ITV later this month after announcing his break from the breakfast show.
Martin is returning to screens with an exciting TV special, plus another series of The Money Show.
Martin Lewis is retuning to ITV for a new TV special[/caption] It comes after he announced he would be taking an extended break from presenting GMB[/caption] A new series of The Money Show is also on the way[/caption]Martin’s Money Show specials often focus on a particular theme, such as how to make your money go further at Christmas.
His latest upcoming special will be dedicated to helping viewers learn to budget their money better.
The one-off Budget Special is set to air on ITV on Thursday October 31.
A new series of The Money Show with Martin Lewis will also begin airing two days earlier on Tuesday 29 October.
Martin has hosted The Money Show since 2012, along with several special instalments over the years, several of which have been live, including 2022’s Energy and Cost of Living Special and the Emergency Mortgage Special last year.
The news of Martin’s TV return comes after his wife Lara Lewington’s BBC technology series Click was axed after 15 years.
She is now joining her husband over at ITV, albeit on a different show as she takes on a new role as the technology expert on Lorraine.
Meanwhile, Martin will be scaling down his work for ITV and focusing solely on The Money Show for the rest of the year, having announced that he is temporarily stepping down from presenting on GMB until 2025.
Last week he wrote on X: “Thanks for the hugely positive feedback about @GMB today (from most anyway) and ta to the show for having me.
“That’s my last presenting shift til next year, as I choose not to do it while.
“@itvMLshow is on (it’s back later this month) so I can focus my TV energies on that (tho I’m sure I’ll pop on for the odd cameo guest slot!)”
His break comes after his interview with MP Lisa Nandy got very heated.
Martin pressed Ms Nandy on the government’s failure to reach those most in need, describing the policy as a “huge flaw.”
Current presenters:
- Susanna Reid (presenters Monday to Wednesday and alternate Thursdays) – 2014 to present
- Kate Garraway (presenters alternate Thursdays and Fridays) – 2014 to present
- Martin Lewis (Money Saving Expert) – 2021 to present
- Richard Madeley (presents Monday to Thursday) – 2022 to present
- Ed Balls (presents on a rotating basis) – 2022 to present
- Adil Ray (presents on Fridays) – 2024 to present
- Robert Rinder (presents on a rotating basis) – 2024 to present
- Charlotte Hawkins (stand in and holiday cover presenter) 2014 to present
Former presenters:
- Ben Shephard (Thursdays and Fridays) – 2014 to 2024
- Sean Fletcher (Monday–Friday) – 2014
- John Stapleton (Wednesday) – 2014
- Piers Morgan (Monday to Wednesday) – 2015 to 2021
- Lorraine Kelly (Monday to Friday) – 2022
But his followers thanked him for holding the government to account and said his passionate final episode was a good way to bow out.
Commenting on his X post, one follower said: “Good way to end it on a high note.”
While another wrote: “Thank you. No-one else could do what you do, with such warmth, humour & straight-talking.”

My brothers play for Man Utd and are pals with Sir Alex Ferguson and Cristiano Ronaldo Jr – I’m making my own way in MMA
THE IBRAGIMOV brothers look destined to light up the Old Trafford pitch in the years to come – but oldest brother Ibragim wants to fight there.
Ibragimov is a 7-0 MMA star signed to the Professional Fighters League – but his brothers all play for Manchester United.

Even Old Trafford icon Sir Alex Ferguson has given his endorsement to Amir, who has also scored for England at Under-16 level.
Big brother Ibragimov, 20, is backing Amir to break into the first team by next season – while he eyes a sensational fight at the Theatre of Dreams.
He said: “My brother’s been training with the first team as well. I reckon this year, maybe next year he’ll be in the first team.
“My two little brothers as well play for Man United so they’ll make it too. I believe in them. So we’re going to have a Manchester United team.
“And then maybe in the future we’ll bring PFL over to Old Trafford and make it a big show.”
Amir scored the winning goal for England’s U16 against Italy in April – with Sir Alex’s starlet set for big things.
Ibragimov said: “He’s doing well right now. He’s on a good stage now. He’s about to make it first team.

“He had a picture with Ferguson, it was at the start and then he scored the winning goal for the England team.
“So it’s a big opportunity for all of us.”
Neither Amir or Gazik are at threat of being starstruck by United’s superstar squad.
Gazik captained United’s U14s to trophies, played for England’s U15s and lined up alongside Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo’s sons.
And both Gazik and big brother Ibragimov remain in touch with Cristiano Jr – playing for Al-Nassr’s youth in Saudi Arabia.

“They are still good friends. So the only thing we did was send a t-shirt over to his house so he signed it and brought it back.”
Ibragimov was also once a promising player, having had trials for Manchester rivals City before taking up a career in MMA.
He said: “I was actually playing football as well, I was at Sheffield, they gave me trials then when we moved to Manchester I was at City trials as well.
“I couldn’t make it. It was a bit too late for me to make it and my brothers are there. But I’m here.”
Ibragimov returns in Riyadh on Saturday against Nacho Campos with Francis Ngannou making his MMA return in the main-event against Renan Ferreira.
