Princess Kate ‘sends love, strength and hope’ to anyone who’s felt the ‘devastation’ of baby loss in touching message

PRINCESS Kate has shared a hand written message during Baby Loss Awareness Week.

The mum-of-three is “sending love, strength and hope” to anyone who has felt the “devastation”.

At 7pm on Tuesday, people around the world who have suffered pregnancy or baby loss will light a candle to remember the little lives.

In a message of support for families affected by the tragedy of losing a baby, Kensington Palace shared Kate’s emotional note alongside an image of a candle.

The heartfelt post read: “Baby Loss Awareness Week is such an important moment to support those who have experienced the devastation of baby loss.

“Sending love, strength and hope to anyone affected. #WaveofLight C.”

Baby Loss Awareness Week is an annual event that takes place from October 9 until October 15.

Last year, the Palace shared links to organisations offering support to those affected.

They have done the same again following The Princess’ message.

For anyone struggling, charities Child Bereavement UK, Tommy’s and Baby Loss Awareness Campaign can help.

Last week, Kate joined husband Prince William to meet with victims of the Southport attack.

Bebe King, six, was killed along with Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in the Merseyside town on July 29.

In her first public engagement with Wills since her cancer diagnosis, Kate met privately with the families of the three tragic children, and dance teacher Leanne Lucas who was present when the attack happened.

Leanne, 35, nearly died after being stabbed in the neck, back and arms as she bravely fought to protect her class.

Will and Kate also met with the fire, ambulance, air ambulance and police services at the Southport Community Centre.

The Princess of Wales was seen hugging tearful emergency service workers as they told her of their ordeal responding to the Southport stabbings.

And she was so moved by their traumatic experience that she broke off from the engagement to go back and hug crews who had told of their anxiety and the toll on their mental health since that day.

The Prince and Princess then greeted mental health practitioners who have been working to deliver long term support to the blue light community.

Emergency crews also asked the couple how the families of the three slain little girls were coping, after their private meeting with the victims just minutes before.

Kate, 42, told them: “They’re OK. They’re managing it differently. All the families are so different. Individually too they are managing it and processing this tragic event in very different ways but they’re getting support from families and officers and things like that.

She added: “I can’t underestimate how grateful they all are for the support you provided on the day.

“On behalf of them, thank you.”

In a heartwarming post on X, formerly Twitter, the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote: “We continue to stand with everyone in Southport.

“Meeting the community today has been a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting one another in the wake of unimaginable tragedy.

“You will remain in our thoughts and prayers. W & C.”

The moving post was accompanied by a picture of William and Kate speaking with those involved in the Southport tragedy.

It comes after Kate last month announced she is now “cancer free”.

The Princess announced she had finished her chemotherapy course in a heartfelt video on September 9.

Kate, 42, said she was entering “this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life”.

The game was expected to be a hit, but even die-hard fans of the franchise couldn’t predict the numbers we are seeing.

Stats on PC’s biggest digital store Steam, reveal that the game is the best-selling title on the platform.

With a peak of 122,554 concurrent players on Steam, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero managed to beat other big releases this week, like Metaphor: ReFantazio and the Silent Hill 2 remake.

Sparking! Zero’s player count is impressive even when compared with the same stats of other fighting games, like the recent Mortal Kombat 1 and Street Fighter 6.

Mortal Kombat 1 peaked at 38,129 players 13 months ago, while Street Fighter 6 amassed 70,573 players around launch in June last year.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero marks the first game in this subseries since Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 was released in 2007.

It is also the first time a Budokai Tenkaichi game has been released with its Japanese title “Sparking!” worldwide.

Sparking! Zero is a 3D arena fighter with more than 180 playable characters from the Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT series.

On review aggregator Metacritic, the game boasts an 83 rating for its Xbox version, and after more than 23,000 user reviews on Steam, players are “Very Positive”.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero launched on October 11, 2024, for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at a high point for the Dragon Ball franchise.

The new Dragon Ball Daima anime series starts on October 18, 2024, and will be streamed by Netflix in the West.

Gregg Wallace’s ex was ‘made to write a daily to do list’ for him and gave him her passport so she ‘wouldn’t run away’

GREGG Wallace’s former wife previously opened up about some of the strange dynamics that shaped their relationship.

The MasterChef star married Heidi Brown in 2011, but he has since declared that union was a ‘huge mistake’.

His ex-wife Heidi Brown has shared some details of their unbalanced relationship[/caption]

She was his third wife, but that didn’t last long as the pair separated 14 months on from their lavish wedding ceremony.

In a candid chat with the Mail in 2012, Heidi lifted the lid on some of the strange requirements Gregg had for her while they were married.

She revealed that she was asked to provide to-do lists for him every day, and became overwhelmed by the extent she was involved in his regular routine.

Gregg himself admitted to this arrangement, saying: “It starts off every morning with ‘yoghurt’, then ‘leg band’ [he has a leg injury], then it’ll be ‘teeth’, then it’ll say ‘tablets’ because I’ve got to take my cholesterol tablets and vitamin C, then ‘check BBC News’.

“Those are all the things I must do before I leave the flat. Then it’ll say ‘Twitter’ because I want to tweet twice a day, then it’ll say ‘H’ for Heidi because of all the things I need to discuss with her.

“She runs the finances, the children and my diary. She also helped me with my diet and fitness, which means she was all over every aspect of my life.”

Besides being bound to each other through timetabling, Heidi also disclosed that she once handed Gregg her passport to reassure him that she wouldn’t leave.

The ex-wife explained that while she cared deeply for Gregg, the relationship became increasingly difficult.

“Sometimes he’s a difficult man, he can be quite moody,” she said.

“He’s very driven and works incredibly hard, which makes him stressed. He’s also quite needy. I was finding it more difficult to deal with.”

Heidi sadly continued: “I so desperately wanted everything to be OK, I bent over backwards to make sure everyone else was OK and had nothing left for me.”

Gregg also spoke about their split, admitting that while he wanted to make things work, their differences became insurmountable.

He shared: “I love my wife. I’m just not sure about anything. We’re very different people.

“I want to be out on the town. I crave company. I want to take my sexy, elegant wife to smart restaurants dressed up in her heels on my arm. She likes the local Italian.”

Despite their best efforts, the relationship ultimately broke down, with both parties agreeing that their differences were too significant to overcome.

With the marriage behind her, Heidi reflected on the experience with a mixture of exhaustion and sadness.

She told the Mail: “We each desperately wanted to be the person the other one wanted us to be.

“We should have both stuck up for ourselves a bit more. I wish him all the best and all the luck in the world. I hope he does meet someone who makes him feel happy and loves him for all he is. I can’t do that.”

This comes after the Sun revealed this weekend that Gregg’s behaviour was investigated by the BBC six years ago for making inappropriate sexual comments to a female member of staff.

Following the news of the probe, the MasterChef host filmed himself making a statement from home.

He said: “The story that’s hitting the newspapers, this was investigated promptly when it happened six years ago by the BBC and the outcome of that was that I hadn’t said anything sexual.

“I’ll need to repeat this again. I didn’t say anything sexual. Thank you for your time.”
