Coronation Street has seemingly confirmed the end of Joel Deering (Calum Lill) – but Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) isn’t so convinced that he’s gone for good.
Joel has been causing havoc on the cobbles with his vile behaviour, and was recently exposed for grooming and attacking Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
When Dee-Dee discovered what he had done, she promptly ended their engagement, before teaming up with Lauren and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) to bring Joel down.
In upcoming scenes, Dee-Dee receives a voice message from Joel which she is quick to pass on to Lisa, as a new spoiler video shows.
As Lisa listens, she tells Dee-Dee that she thinks it may be a suicide note.
Determined to find Joel, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) manages to track his last whereabouts through his phone signal, but when he arrives at the location he finds Joel’s car parked on a bridge with a note on the dashboard.
Later, Lisa is forced to break the news that they are now looking for Joel’s body.

However, Dee-Dee is instantly suspicious that Joel isn’t really dead, and confides in Kit that she has contacted their wedding venue and discovered that Joel has already recouped their deposits.
The next day, Joel’s dad arrives at the police station, and Dee-Dee wastes no time in confronting him with her beliefs that Joel has gone on the run.
Lisa soon steps in and warns Dee-Dee that she must accept that Joel is really dead – but is Dee-Dee right to be suspicious?
