Confirmed reports have it that award-winning rapper Da Les – real name Leslie Mampe – has been discharged from the hospital weeks after suffering a stroke.
The All Eyes on Me rapper was admitted on his 39th birthday after suffering a stroke in July. Da LES suffered a stroke at his Bryanston mansion, known for hosting his star-studded parties.
DA LES DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL FOLLOWING STROKE
He was admitted to Charlotte Maxeke and South Rand hospitals before his family requested to bring him back home.
According to ZiMoja, Da Les is showing significant improvement in rehab and learning to walk again. The star is said to be receiving the best medical care.
ZiMoja reported, “He was treated with the highest form of care at Charlotte Maxeke and South Rand hospitals, where he started his rehabilitation. The family thought it was best for him to be home.”
No doubt, since his admission, social media has been trying to connect the dots about his health update.
‘HE IS STARTING TO SHOW IMPROVEMENT’
However, it was also revealed that Da Les is now aware of what’s happening and is determined to get back on his feet.
“He is starting to show improvement, thanks to the rehab programme. He is now learning to walk, too. He’s aware of what’s happening, and he is determined to get back on his feet.
“He has shown major improvement since he started rehab,” a close to Da Les told ZiMoja.
MAKING HEADLINES
However, barely a few days after Da Les’ family issued a statement confirming the news of his stroke, it was alleged that they were also looking for donations to foot his medical bills.
Reports have it that his family reached out to his close friends for financial assistance to foot his medical expenses.
The alleged note to Da Les’s friends read, “As support to Leslie’s family while Les is in hospital, we are encouraging friends to assist in kind to Leslie’s mother’s account.”
Against the news, his family said they did not appeal to the public for assistance.
It was also alleged that the Da Les does not have medical aid. However, against the rumours, his family seemingly blueticked the reports.
