Monday morning is off to a stellar start today with five London Underground lines hobbled by delays.
Stretches of the Circle, Hammersmith and City and District lines are all experiencing severe delays, with minor delays also impacting another part of the District line. A signal failure in Whitechapel is behind the delays. While vandalism on the Waterloo and City line has led to minor delays on the key commuter route.
No trains are running from Amersham, one of the furthest out TfL stops, until; 7.10am as the Metropolitan line is seeing hold-ups.
Things certainly could have been a lot worse, given that a wave of strikes was set to paralyse London for most of this week. After the rain railway union, RMT, called off the industrial action, leaving only Aslef workers picketing. Though, this does mean next to no tube services will run this Thursday or next Tuesday (November 12) as staff picket for higher wages amid long working hours.
