Four players Kaizer Chiefs can sign in the January transfer window

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is planning to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.

He has already brought in seven new players this season, many of whom have been part of the starting eleven in the four games played so far and have made a good impression.

Miguel Inacio, Rushwin Dortely, and Bradley Cross have impressed at the back, while Gaston Sirino has been a key performer up front. Nabi has also boosted the confidence of his striker Ranga Chivaviro, who has already scored three goals this campaign.

Last month, Nabi mentioned that Kaizer Chiefs were looking to sign more players in January. Some of the players the club wanted to sign include Asanele Velebayi, Fiston Mayele, Fawaaz Basadien, and Oswin Appollis.

Kaizer Chiefs to bring more attackers in January

Appollis was heavily linked with a move to North Africa, but nothing materialized. He might finally be tempted to join Amakhosi in January. Velebayi is another player Amakhosi were keen to bring to Naturena. It was reported that Cape Town Spurs rejected Chiefs’ first offer and stated that the player was not for sale.

Another player Kaizer Chiefs can sign in January is Congolese striker Fiston Mayele. Amakhosi were reportedly interested; however, his team Pyramids refused to sell.

Nabi is expected to loan out a few players in January as well. The likes of Tebogo Potsane and Sibongiseni Mthethwa have not played much under the Tunisian tactician

“I think we haven’t finished changing the squad, this is normal,” Nabi said as per The Citizen.

“For all decisions, the direction of my eyes is for the best for Chiefs. It is not to be friendly, not to be emotional. For that reason, moving the squad won’t stop window after window.

“Maybe for a player not at our level there will be another opportunity, they will be out,” the Kaizer Chiefs coach said looking at the January window.
