Springbok players Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo AM are topping trends after they received Mercedes-Benz C63 SEs from the German automobile.
The cars were custom-made at their famous East London plant, which built Nelson Mandela’s custom-made S Class in 1990.
MERCEDES-BENZ REWARDS ‘FRIENDS OF THE BRAND’ WITH C63 SEs
No doubt their gifts come barely a year after they joined a host of celebrated athletes and celebrities who are ‘friends of the brand.’
Some notable names who work with the German automobile include Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, Grammy award-winning star Zakes Bantwini and his wife, Nandi Madida.
Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo AM joined the fold last year. Makazole Mapimpi was assigned to the cars division, while Lukhanyo AM was assigned to the financial services team.
Against the news, Makazole Mapimpi has confirmed the news with a series of Instagram posts.
Makazole Mapimpi posted, “In 1990, Mercedes-Benz SA presented an S Class to Tata Rholihlahla Mandela that was made by the employees at the East London plant.
“As we celebrate 30 years of democracy, Mercedes Benz SA did their second handover since then by giving myself and my bro @lukhanyoam an S class made especially for us by the workers in my hometown. Ndiyabulela @mercedesbenzsa.”
The latest addition has undoubtedly left many trying to understand his impressive fleet, which reportedly costs a fortune.

Against the trends, The South African has connected the dots about Makazole Mapimpi’s cars, from his R1.2 million GLE to his new Mercdes-Benz C63 SE.
R1.2 MILLION MERCEDES-BENZ GLE
Last year, Makaloze Mapimpi made headlines when he added some big wheels to a fleet of German cars with a Mercedes-Benz GLE. The car has a base price tag of R1.2 million.
R1.3 MILLION MERCEDES-BENZ C43
The Springboks star has no doubt a soft spot for German cars and has a fleet to show for it. Makazole Mapimpi also owns a Mercedes-Benz C43.
At several dealerships in South Africa, the car’s base price, depending on trims and extras, is R1.3 million.
R4 MILLION MERCEDES-BENZ G-WAGON
Makazole Mapimpi reportedly owns a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. He has been spotted driving the German beast on several occasions.
Over the years, he has shared several photos of his rumoured black G-Wagon on Instagram.
However, if the car is his, he joins a host of A-listers who own the German beast, with a base price tag of R4 million depending on the year of manufacture and trims.
BMW
However, Makazole Mapimpi also owns a BMW, according to reports. The Springbok star once posted a picture of the car on his Instagram.
