Many of us like to start the day off right by enjoying a caffeinated beverage.
For some, this will mean a trip to their favourite coffee shop on the way to work, and the only thing that could make the whole experience better is if their drink was free.
And this can be a reality for hundreds of people this week, as 600 free coffees are being given away on Tuesday, October 1, to celebrate International Coffee Day.
To mark the occasion, coffee lovers will have the chance to nab a free drink from the likes of Costa Coffee, Caffè Nero, Starbucks, and Greggs.
When is International Coffee Day?
International Coffee Day takes place on October 1, with events taking place around the world to celebrate the hot drink.
The first day of its kind took place in 2015 and it was launched in Milan.
On the day, many coffee shops and businesses will be offering discounts, gifts, and fun promotions to promote their drinks.
This includes some of the biggest coffee chains across the country, with a special giveaway running on Tuesday at vouchercodes.co.uk.
How to claim your free coffee
All you need to do to be in with a chance of grabbing one of the free drinks is visit VoucherCodes.
The website will have an offer going live from 10am on Tuesday, and you just have to be online ready to claim it when it’s up.
VoucherCodes is also offering a £4 voucher that can be used at any of the coffee shops for up to six months.
To increase your chances of winning, you can become a VoucherCodes VIP for free to get extra rewards and discounts.
If you don’t manage to claim the offer in time, then there will always be other ways to get yourself a fun freebie.
Using the apps for your go-to coffee shops is another way to claim your free hot or cold drinks.
Caffè Nero, for instance, is giving away free drinks through VoucherCodes but there are other ways to get your Nero fix. Every person you successfully refer to the Caffè Nero app will get a free hot drink once they’ve made their first purchase and you’ll get a free drink for yourself too.
And for those of you who are Greggs fans, but don’t have the app, downloading it will instantly see you rewarded with free a hot beverage.
While Costa drinks are part of the VoucherCodes deal, the establishment also offers freebies for its app users.
Customers can collect Beans in-store via the app or ask a barista for a receipt to add beans retrospectively. Once 10 Beans are collected, customers receive a free drink.
But the coffee purveyors also randomly give away freebies for a limited time (and you get a free cake on your birthday which is redeemable for a week).
Starbucks also has a very similar loyalty points system for its rewards customers.
