Inside Sindi Dlathu’s character in ‘Isiphetho: Destiny’

Former The River actress Sindi Dlathu will debut in e.tv’s telenovela, Isiphetho: Destiny on Thursday, 3 October.

SINDI DLATHU AS ZANEVUMLA

E.tv confirms that actress Sindi Dlathu will play the character of Zanemvula in Isiphetho: Destiny.

Dlathu’s character is a woman of God with an axe to grind against the Zondo sisters, Connie (Gugu Gumede) and Blondie (Linda Sokhulu).

Viewers will witness a heart-wrenching confrontation between Zanemvula and her ex-husband, Zwelakhe (Mojatsi Mbhele) this week.

“Their once-happy family has been shattered, and the tension between Zanemvula and Zwelakhe is palpable. Zanemvula pleads for understanding, expressing her deep concern for Buhle’s emotional well-being. However, Zwelakhe’s anger and resentment are evident as he blames Zanemvula for the family’s breakup,” reveals the show.

Zanemvula will also offer financial assistance to her estranged daughter Buhle (Mbalenhle Mavimbela). She’s hoping this might help bridge the gap between them, but her ex-husband Zwelakhe will reject this offer.

THEMBA NDABA JOINS ‘ISIPHETHO: DESTINY’

Isiphetho: Destiny also recently introduced Sindi Dlathu’s former Queendom co-star Themba Ndaba as
Bheki “Gwinyitshe” Sibanyoni.

TVSA reports that Ndaba’s character is a polygamist who wants to shack up with Connie and Blondie while messing with Zwelakhe’s mind.

Bheki arrived in Mzimhlophe to surprise Connie. The pair have a relationship that stems back to when Connie was a teen, almost 40 years ago.

Bheki was also romantically involved with Blondie years ago and intends to date both women at the same time and wants to marry them both.

The telenovela, which is set in the heart of Soweto, amidst the vibrant community of Mzimhlope follows the intertwined lives of four friends who were bound by a life-changing secret during their teenage years.

The foursome embarks on an exciting new venture: an innovative restaurant aimed at bringing unique culinary delights to the township.
