FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Friday morning!
It’s a quiet start for Central Ohio this morning! But, we are looking at a long awaited return for some rain as we head into the end of the work week. There’s a quick rebound from the rain for the weekend, but temperatures will be in store for a major change as well.
A cold front tracking through for the majority of Friday will come with two chances of seeing rain. The first will happen shortly after sunrise. Expect a few isolated showers, especially for areas north of I-70. There’s a break from the rain, but not the clouds, for the afternoon. A second round of rain moves in later this evening, shortly past sundown. The best chance to see the second round will be for areas southeast of I-71.
Rain totals won’t be very impressive from this cold front. But, the cooldown that we see will be very noticeable. We’re in the lower 70s today, but dropping to the lower 60s for Saturday. More sunshine returns to start off the weekend, so expect clear weather for the Buckeyes home game and Highball Halloween.
Sunshine sticks around for the end of the weekend and into the majority of next week. Temperatures will get a major rebound for the final days of October. We’re back in the upper 60s by Monday and the 70s by Tuesday. In the days leading up to Halloween, temperatures will be trying to reach the upper 70s.
