Kaizer Chiefs are set to offload several players in the up-and-coming January transfer window.
So, these THREE Amakhosi stars may never play for Chiefs again.
Meanwhile, another five players are likely heading out of Naturena.
EIGHT PLAYERS LIKELY LEAVING CHIEFS
Itumeleng Khune, Edmilson Dove, Aden McCarthy, Thatayaone Dihtlokwe, George Matlou, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Nkonsingiphile Ngcobo and Christian Saile are all likely heading out of Naturena.
Furthermore, both Khune and Dove are no longer contracted Chiefs players. Khune’s contract has expired and Amakhosi management have decided not to extend it. Meanwhile, Dove was not registered as a player due to Chiefs already having five registered foreign-based players.
However, he is also injured so it will be interesting to see if he returns or not. Therefore if Dove returns then Dihtlokwe is the man likely to make way.
NOT IN NABI’S PLANS
Whereas, McCarthy is one of the Amakhosi players not in Nabi’s plans.
This sentiment is dittoed for midfielders Matlou, Mdantsane and Ngcobo.
Additionally, they have all fallen down the pecking order with Gaston Sirino, Yusuf Maart, Mdu Shabalala, Samkelo Zwane, Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Edson Castillo all ahead of them.
CHIEFS STRIKER PURSUIT UNDER WAY
Finally, Saille is likely set to leave in January to make way for Chiefs new striker signing.
In fact, Amakhosi scouts are actively looking in South America.
Whereas, Chiefs are busy preparing a bigger offer for their main striker target. Finally, Nabi has demanded that Chiefs sign this red-hot top Bafana Bafana attacker. Currently, Fiston Mayele is Nabi and Amakhosi managements first-choice. Furthermore, Oswin Appollis is the other priority target for Chiefs.
“The coach had seen his games on tape and followed him in (scouting) reports. Nabi was happy and that’s why there were talks with Polokwane City for the player. Now he has seen him in action for both club and country and he demands for him to be signed in January,” the insider told SoccerLaduma.
Meanwhile, Michael Olunga has been identified as a top target should Chiefs fail to secure Mayele.
WHICH OF THESE PLAYERS SHOULD CHIEFS SELL PERMANENTLY AND WHO SHOULD LEAVE ON LOAN? SHOULD ANYBODY STAY?
