Kaizer Chiefs have ANOTHER coaching role to fill

Kaizer Chiefs have another coaching role to fill following the departure of Arthur Zwane to AmaZulu on Tuesday.

Zwane was appointed co-coach of Usuthu alongside Vusumuzi Vilakazi in what took the football fraternity by surprise.

The duo – Zwane and Vilakazi – replace Pablo Franco Martin who was sacked after losing three consecutive league games.

At first, AmaZulu were thought to be after high-profile coaches such as Benni McCarthy as reported by The South African.

However, Usuthu president Sandile Zungu opted for two students of the game to lead his side to glory.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO REPLACE ZWANE AND DA CRUZ?

Now, having held the position of senior academy coach at Kaizer Chiefs, Zwane’s departure means the club may need someone new.

Kaizer Chiefs had deployed Zwane to that role after some years with the first team.

He first served as an assistant coach before being promoted to the role of head coach when Stuart Baxter left.

Nonetheless, Zwane was made to step down from that position after a single season, and he went back to being an assistant.

Now, AmaZulu have given him a chance to, again, coach at the highest level of South African football.

This will be Zwane’s second coaching gig in the PSL.

It is also worth noting that Zwane departs Kaizer Chiefs after 24 years at the club – both as a player and coach.

Meanwhile, he is not the only coach that needs to be replaced by Kaizer Chiefs.

Fernado da Cruz’s future is also hanging in the balance but his request to leave the club was accepted.

Kaizer Chiefs and head coach Nasreddine Nabi are yet to replace Da Cruz.
