Kaizer Chiefs: THREE players linked, SIX out?

Kaizer Chiefs are linked with some big-name players with half a dozen stars linked with exits.

Kaizer Chiefs will be making big changes in the next PSL transfer window in January.

These SIX Chiefs players are heading out of Naturena under Nabi. Meanwhile, three red-hot attackers are linked with the club.

NABI ENSURES CHIEFS SIGNINGS IN JANUARY

Nabi was not happy despite Chiefs’ Cufa Cup win against Marumo Gallants (they won 4-3 on penalties).

So, he made it clear that he is not happy with the current squad. Furthermore, he has further assured fans that Amakhosi will be signing players in the next transfer window.

“We still need to recruit honestly. We need more signings to improve the team,” Nabi stated on Goal.

Meaning, they will be signing players in January. Specifically, attackers. Previously, Chiefs were linked with Oswin Appollis, Asanele Velebayi and Fiston Mayele. They could re-visit all three options in the next transfer window.

In fact, Chiefs are already preparing a much bigger and better offer for this striker target.

AMAKHOSI SESTET LINKED WITH LIKELY EXITS

Aden McCarthy, Thatayaone Dithlokwe, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, George Matlou, Christian Saille and Ashley Du Preez are all linked with likely exits.

So, McCarthy is one of the Chiefs players not in Nabi’s plans. Meanwhile, one of these Amakhosi stars will be forced to leave. Surprisingly, Ngcobo is one of the players who could be loaned out. Additionally, Matloy is also linked with an exit.

Finally, Saille survived the cut due to Chiefs not signing an attacker in time. Initially, he was the man heading out. This is unlikely to change unless he scored a lot of goals over the next 3 months.

Finally, Du Preez stayed for the same reason. Portuguese outfit Vitoria SC tabled a R40 million offer for his services. The blockbuster offer was being considered by Amakhosi management. However, this was on the basis that they sign attackers with that money. Therefore, failure to sign a striker resulted in Du Preez staying at Chiefs.
